- Abstract
The article presents the source for a pilot interdisciplinary project, in cooperation between students of the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology, and the Institute of Polish Culture at Warsaw University. During the cooperative process, students worked together with their respective analysis and designing tools in order to create a coherent concept for transforming particular public spaces. The aim of the study. The main aim of the workshop is a meeting of two perspectives of perceiving the city: anthropological and architectural, and developing methods of cooperation between the representatives of both fields. The article aims to present the objectives of the cooperation and the experiences that stand at the source of its origin. Research method. The authors based the article on materials gathered during the workshops. The key was to analyse the process, during which it turned out that not only the research methods but the mutual influence and means of cooperation between students turned out to be the most important outcome. Conclusions. The transfer of interdisciplinary cooperation to the academic level results in the expansion of the possibilities of using anthropological research methods as a supporting tool for the design process.
