Double-J ureteral stents fracture is a possible but rare complication that is reported in literature in very few cases. We present a rare case of DJ stent fracture discovered one month after the insertion. A broken DJ stent can be safely removed with minimal morbidity and mortality by an experienced endourologist. To minimize further complications, hospitalization and costs it is preferable, when possible, to perform the removal of the broken DJ stent in one time. It is advisable to perform the surgery in two times in case of complications such as fever or extensive stent calcification [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
