- Abstract
With the intensification of the debates about sustainable development, companies recognize the need to rethink their products, business models and processes according to the ideal of organizational sustainability. In this context, the concept of sustainable innovation emerges, which provides for the realization of innovations that help to reduce environmental impacts, and pollution, increase products recyclability, water use and other natural resources. With the interest increase of the scholars by the field and the consolidation of the concept, the objective of this work was to verify the scenario of the publications about sustainable innovation. The sample selection was made throughout the Web of Science database. The Citespace software was used to analyze the most relevant papers that contributed to the eco-innovation theme. The sample consisted of 120 articles. The results show that the theme is recent, with continuous growth in recent years. The key words found in the sample also helped to understand the main study fields. Based on this analysis, the field has evolved with the addition of new concepts and the development of new works to understand how sustainable innovation interferes with organizational management, in the performance, the factors that contribute to the adoption of eco-innovation, in addition to the development of similar terms in the sense of adding new ideas to the theme.
