A list of 38 species of the genera Agromyza Fallén, 1823 (9 species), Euhexomyza Lonsdale, 2014 (1 species), Japanagromyza Sasakawa, 1958 (1 species), Melanagromyza Hendel, 1920 (11 species) and Ophiomyia Braschnikov, 1897 (16 species) (Agromyzidae: Agromyzinae) occurring on the territory of Russia and some other countries together with localities and collection data is given. All the species are deposited in the collections of the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St Petersburg, Russia. All, except Melanagromyza soja (Zehntner, 1900), were determined by V.V. Zlobin. Known host plant genera are given for each species. New records for Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are given. Japanagromyza salicifolii (Collin, 1911) described from Egypt is recorded for the first time in Asia (on border of Russia and Kazakhstan).

Based on the material recently collected in the Transcarpathian Ukraine, three previously unknown species of the mining flies are described: Ophiomyia kireshii sp. n., O. mukhorytsa sp. n. and Agromyza paralucida sp. n. Heads, wings, male and female terminalia are illustrated and DNA sequences of the new species are provided. In addition, five species previously unknown to occur in Ukraine were found and added on the list of Ukrainian Agromyzidae: Melanagromyza nartschukae Pakalniskis, 1996, Ophiomyia pseudonasuta Cerný, 1994, Agromyza anderssoni Spencer, 1976, A. hendeli Griffiths, 1963, and A. lucida Hendel, 1920. All species go with short general data on their distribution in Ukraine and rare species are provided with detailed distribution information that not listed earlier. The number of confirmed Ukrainian Agromyzinae species is now 105.

Melanagromyza trapezoidea sp. n., M. asymmetrica sp. n., M. cuprea sp. n. and M. pratensis sp. n. are described, and a key to Melanagromyza species known to occur in Ukraine is provided.

During 2009–2013, twenty-three species of agromyzid flies from the genus Ophiomyia Braschnikov, 1897 were collected in the territory of eastern and south-eastern Ukraine. Among them, six species are described as new for science: Ophiomyia australis sp. n., O. crispa sp. n., O. fasciculusalba sp. n., O. malalata sp. n., O. punctata sp. n. and O. versera sp. n. Male heads and genitalia are illustrated for all species. Pictures of the female genitalia are also provided for О. curvipalpis (Zetterstedt, 1848), O. disordens Pakalniљkis, 1998, О. Fennoniensis Spencer, 1976, О. maura (Meigen, 1832), О. melandricaulis Hering, 1943, О. ranunculicaulis Hering, 1949, О. slovaca Иernэ, 1994, О. skanensis Spencer, 1976 and О. submaura Hering, 1926. Information on distribution and host plants are also provided. В течение 2009–2013 гг. на территории востока и юго-востока Украины было собрано 23 вида агромизид рода Ophiomyia Braschnikov, 1897. Среди них шесть описываются как новые: Ophiomyia australis sp. n., O. crispa sp. n., O. fasciculusalba sp. n., O. malalata sp. n., O. punctata sp. n. и O. versera sp. n. The 29 species of the subfamily Agromyzinae in Thailand are revised, among these 13 species are described as new to science: Melanagromyza ancyla sp. nov., M. catalexis sp. nov., M. cirrappendicula sp. nov., M. lunulata sp. nov., M. macilenta sp. nov., M. multistriata sp. nov., M. pandiculata sp. nov., M. sexseriata sp. nov., M. spinuliloba sp. nov., M. turgida sp. nov., Ophiomyia flagellata sp. nov., O. quadrifida sp. nov., O. striata sp. nov.; and nine species (three species of Agromyza, two of Melanagromyza and four of Ophiomyia) are recorded as new to Thailand. One new synonym is established: Melanagromyza cordiophoeta Spencer, 1961, as a junior synonym of M. dolichostigma Meijere, 1922. Keys to the Thailand species of the genera Agromyza, Melanagromyza and Ophiomyia are given.

During the summer of 1926, while collecting in Orillia, numerous small flies were observed on old fence posts in the hot sun. It was presumed that they represented some common species of Agromyzinae and only six specimens were captured after much difficulty, four of these proving to belong to a beautiful undescribed species of Mallochiella. In Melander's key to the Milichiinae (Jour. N. Y. Ent. Soc., XXXI, 1913) the members of this genus trace to Hypaspistomyia Hendel, an Asiatic genus, but the oral margin is not retracted. The carinate lunule is variable both in size and color in M. halteralis Coq. but always separates the antennae.
