This article focuses on the determination of the government and economic policy makers in China to maintain a stable and relatively fast economic growth. The top leaders who attended the annual Central Economic Work Conference promised to fight inflation and continue restructuring the economy to improve the livelihood of the people. The country's economy grew at a healthy pace of 10.6% in the first three quarters of 2010. However, there is concern over inflation which reached 5.1% in November, a 28-month high.
