This study sought to obtain basic information to examine sex education in high schools and clarify the state of sexual activity among high school students as understood by school nurses. Furthermore, the efforts to solve sex-related issues were also examined. We conducted semi-structured interviews with three high school nurses who provide sex education and prepared a transcript for quantitative text analysis. The nurses identified two key issues—contact with the opposite sex and concerns about sex—and efforts to resolve these issues were related to response to pregnancy, cooperating with midwives, and sex education. School nurses recognized high school students’ poor awareness surrounding the risks of having sexual contact with the opposite sex through SNS as an issue. School nurses also perceived the necessity for a planned and professional sex education course in schools that would meet students’ needs. They felt that cooperation between school nurses and midwives is important.

Although addiction to the Internet has been one of the serious social problems, surveys targeting high schoolstudents are neither qualitative nor quantitative enough. We conducted a web survey of 500 high school students and examined their status of the Internet addiction. As a result, were diagnosed with high risk user group,39.8% with potential risk user group, and 34.0% with general user. It has also been discovered that heavy users of the game s seem to have some significant risk of falling into the addiction.

4. 中高生における教師からもたらされる居場所感:居場所感をもたらす教師の特徴とその発達的変化と性差の検討

The sense of Ibasho, which is defined as a person's psychological space provided by teachers, that has not been examined to date, This paper focuses on the sense of Ibasho and characteristics of teachers providing a sense of Ibasho, as well as developmental changes and gender differences in students were investigated. A pilot study was conducted with junior and senior high school students and 27 items expressed characteristics of teachers providing a sense of Ibasho to students were extracted. In the main study, junior and senior high school students with a sense of Ibasho were required to assess the characteristics of teachers that most clearly created a sense of Ibasho, and factor analysis was conducted on the assessment results. The results indicated three factors: “Interest in each student and approach to each student,“ Affinity", and“ Guiding". Examining the effects of school type, school year, and gender on the three factors results in no gender differences in any factor. On the other hand, there were differences based on school type and school year on“ Interest in the self and approach to the self" and“ Guiding". Senior high school students had higher scores than junior high school students.

5. Educational Use of Tablet Computers for Visual Impaired Student: Current Status and Future Prospects

小学生から高校生の弱視児・生徒を対象とし,タブレット端末の教育的利用について検討した7件の実践研究をレビューした。一連の研究の結果,すべての学年の生徒がタブレット端末の操作を比較的速やかに習得することができること,また,タブレット端末を使用することで授業中に視覚を使用した学習時間が増えること,さらには携帯性の高さが自宅学習を促進することが明らかになった。一方で,現状では,授業で使用するデータの準備や校内ネットワーク環境の整備が教員の負担となっている問題も認められた。今後の課題として,実験や多変量解析を用いた検討を行うことで,タブレット端末の教育的使用に関する科学的知見を蓄積する必要性がある。, We reviewed seven studies published from 2014 to 2017 reporting the educational use of tablet computers as visual devices for visually impaired students in elementary, junior, and high schools. These studies revealed: (1) students learned how to use tablet computers relatively quickly; (2) tablet computers helped students in classroom see and understand visual information, enabling them to use their vision not just to watch, but to study; and (3) highly portable tablets facilitated students' learning at home. At the same time, however, these studies also suggested that teachers felt the burden of preparing teaching materials for tablet computers and maintaining network environments. Further scientific studies, including experiments and multivariate analysis, are needed to collect additional findings regarding the effects of the educational use of tablet computers.

6. 部活動が高校生のライフスキル獲得に及ぼす影響

The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of club activities on the life skills of high school students. The results of analyzing the survey results for high school students are as follows. 1. Regarding the relationship between club activity experience and position experience and life skills, in addition to the experience of joining club activities, members with regular positions or positions had higher life skills than those without experience. In addition, members belonging to the sports club were higher in score of the life skill scale than those belonging to the cultural club. 2. As a result of reviewing the specific efforts in club activities, the members of clubs that were able to switch between exercises and other exercises had high skills while pursuing their goals.

7. 高校生の食の自立に向けた調理の実践につながる情報誌の作成

The establishment of cooking skills and habits among high school students takes practice at home beyond the in-school lessons. A way to connect the two is needed. This study explored the actual cooking skills of high school students by carrying out a review of a magazine which aims at improving those skills in practice. An anonymous, self-administered questionnaire was carried out with 157 male and 137 female second year high school students in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The content measured awareness of cooking, frequency of cooking, knowledge of cooking techniques, methods of cutting, and so on(13 topics). In addition, the evaluation of 12 topics was made after the distribution of the magazine in order to determine the value of the magazine. The results showed that 70% of students practice cooking at home only once or twice a month, or not at all. Knowledge of methods of cooking using heat or those without heat that are covered well in school classes was high. But the knowledge or skills in such methods as cutting was low. However, the information magazine that was aimed at novice cooks and included illustrations and easy-to-understand descriptions of ingredients, cooking methods and techniques was considered to be very helpful.

8. 東京都と富山県における男子・女子高校生の制服着装行動の構造

This study analyzed how school uniforms influence the behavior and lives of high school students by conducting a questionnaire survey involving 811 male and female high school students in Tokyo Metropolitan and Toyama Prefectures on the amount of their monthly allowance, present satisfaction levels, and school-uniform-wearing behavior.(1)"The average monthly allowance" is 4,587 yen for males in Toyama, 5,822 yen for males in Tokyo, 4,173 yen for females in Toyama, and 7,369 yen for females in Tokyo. The allowance of males in Tokyo is 47% of what it was 10 years ago, indicating that the students' financial condition is tight.(2)"Satisfaction levels" for school uniforms are generally low with females in Toyama (10.7%), females in Tokyo (17.7%), males in Toyama (18.6%); and males in Tokyo (17.4%). There is little difference in the satisfaction levels for school uniforms between male students in Toyama and their Tokyo counterparts. The satisfaction level of female students in Toyama is significantly lower than that of female students in Tokyo, indicating that some countermeasure is required.(3) Factor analysis of the questionnaire items on "high school students' school-uniform-wearing behavior" extracted 5 factors for males: "clothing in disarray," "desire for expressing individuality," "attachment to uniforms," "how they look when they wear a uniform," and "functionality of uniforms." For females, one factor, "management of uniforms," was added to the above, making the number of factors six in total.

9. 高校生の自尊感情と自意識

In order to clarify the relationship of self-esteem and self-consciousness in high school students, I performed the Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSES), the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI) and self-onsciousness scale. 161 high school students (98 boys and 63 girls) were assessed based on these scales. It was found that there were negative correlations between self-consciousness and self-rejection of CSEI in boys and there were negative correlations between self-consciousness and self-adequacy of CSEI in girls. It was also found that girls demonstrated lower self-esteem scores of RSES compared with boys. The significance of these findings are discussed.

10. 高校生の運動習慣と学校生活の関係

In order to investigate the impact that exercise habits have on the student’s school life, we conducted a survey targeting a total of 1,532 students in a Shiga Prefecture high school: 760 freshmen and 772 sophomores (786 males, 746 females). The survey consisted of 29 items, such as students’ awareness of the exercise and the time spent for it per day, excluding physical education classes, late arrivals, absences, concentration levels in class, worries and stress in school life, and physical and/or mental disorders. The result was that 29% of the male students and 57% of the female students answered that the time spent for exercise per day was 0 minutes. Next, we divided the subjects into four groups by gender and according to the exercise time per day; non-exercise group (0 minutes exercise and sports time per day), exercise group I (less than 90 minutes exercise and sports time per day), exercise group II (more than 91 minutes and less than 180 minutes exercise and sports time per day), exercise group III (more than 181 minutes exercise and sports time per day). The group with less exercise time showed a greater tendency to dislike exercising and a lack of confidence in sports and their physical strength. Also, the group with less exercise time showed more tendency for late arrivals and with absenteeism. With some gender differences, the exercise habits seem to influence the student’s independence and sociality in group relationships as well. We believe that it is important to discuss this together with the students based on these results to further enhance and improve the high school life for nurturing of a sound mind and body.

application/pdf, 紀要論文, The present study examined whether students’ curiosity and study efforts (i.e., quantity and frequency of study outside class) can mediate the relationship between preferences for teaching and academic performance among those attending Ochanomizu University Senior High School. Various measures assessing the students’ levels of study efforts and attitudes were adopted from the nationwide survey, and in an attempt to reliably measure students ’ academic performance, both subjective (i.e., perceived level of understanding and scholastic rank) and objective (i.e., scores of a nationwide standardized examination) indicators were used. The structural equation modeling analyses using a pooled dataset (N =484; all females) from cohorts between the years of 2003 and 2008 validated the hypothesis in which more favorable evaluation toward teaching is associated with a higher level of curiosity, which in turn leads to more study efforts that consequently results in better academic performance. The model was verified even after controlling for students’ year at school and cohort effects. Results are discussed to call for the\ necessity for effective and quality teaching to satisfy students’ desires to learn.

12. 高校生の食行動異常に影響を及ぼす危険因子の性差について

This study made men and women's abnormal eating behavior subject of my research, to refer to men's eating disorder, which had been rare with men so far. Some students have strong tendency of “abnormal eating behavior" which is regarded as subclinical symptom of “eating disorder" among modern high school students. The realities of men's abnormal eating behavior similar to women's was searched for because attention was paid to the fact that in the contemporary society “weight reduction wish" has been spreading even among men and to the fact that “overeating" is attributed to diversion, desperation, or so. The difference between men and women in the psychological factors is assumed that cause “weight reduction wish" and overeating. To study that, firstly, the questionnaire was conducted for 80 boys and 146 girls who were all first graders in the high school to search for the factors that influenced abnormal eating behavior. By its factorial analysis, five factors were extracted with men and women respectively. Secondly, the situation was studied that some factors experienced by most high school students in their daily lives could be the risk factors that would influence their abnormal eating habit, followed by the comparative study of the risk factors by sex. The objective of this comparative study was to prevent the onset of eating disorder. Consequently, it was found that some factors would affect boys' abnormal eating disorder : the state of sleep and the state of not having breakfast made an effect on both “weight reduction wish" and “overeating."

Questionnaire surveys are held for senior high school students before and after a class of childhood education and care. Kindergarten teachers comment the educational effectiveness of childcare activities in the class. As a result, the following points are found out on the educational effectiveness of childcare activities in a home economics curriculum. Senior high school students pass through a variety of experience playing with children. When children cry, laugh and angry, their expression change. They say “beaming faces of children are very cute” but they don’t know children are many-sided character. So they are worried about that they fail in playing with children, when they see the crying face of children.It was proposed that childcare activities in the class give senior high school students to understand many-sided character of children.

14. お弁当献立コンテストの献立における使用食品および調理方法についての一考察

The foods and cooking methods included in the 107 menus created by high school students for elderly pepple at the 10th Annual Box Lunch Menu Contest, which was held in 2008, were tabulated. The menus prepared by high school students were reviewed for their appropriateness for elderly people. High school students chose ingredients in consideration of the taste preferences of elderly people. The menus included 697 appearances of vegetables,162 appearances of seafood, 154 appearances of grains, 115 appearances of fruits, 105 appearances of meats, 100 appearances of nuts and seeds and 91 appearances of eggs."Simmering" and "baking" were the most commonly used cooking methods, whereas "steaming" and "frying" were used less frequently. Questionnaire resposes about box lunches from a delivery service showed that elderly people preferred box lunches with good color balance and soft foods that were easy to eat. Responses showed that satisfaction with taste was about 90% and satisfaction with ease of consumption was ≥ 94%.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether high school students who desired the same educational status as their parents (consistent group) showed higher career awareness than those who desired the different educational statuses from their parents (inconsistent group). Participants were 316 tenth-graders, 290 eleventh-graders, and 278 twelfth-graders. They completed the Career Awareness Scale to measure four areas of career awareness; interpersonal relationship, information utilization, future planning, and decision-making. They also completed the Parental Support Scale and Desired Educational Status Questionnaire. The consistent group showed higher parental support score and lower decision-making score than the inconsistent group. Additionally, high school students who desired higher level of educational status showd higher information utilization and decision-making scores than those who desired lower level of educational status. These results were discussed in relation to parent-child relationship.

The bone quality values (OSI) of 119 male high school students were evaluated by acoustic osteo screener. The questionnaire survey on the exercise experience and competence was made from the term of elementary to high school. The relationship between exercise experience and bone mineral density was researched.Result showed that the students who made regular exercise had higher OSI values than that who had not exercise customs. The values of OSI produced higher value within the participants who had longer exercise history and the higher intensity level of exercise.It showed the very important period for the high school students that accumulate bone mineral density from a regular physical exercises and high-level exercise competence.

17. 男女高校生ならびに男女学生の食生活を中心とした生活習慣調査

高校生(男子289名、女子240名)、学生(専門学校生、短大生、大学生;総計、男子;443名、女子;368名、)を対象に、生活習慣や食習慣に年齢、性による差が見られるかどうかを検討した。女子では高校生の28.8%、学生の15.6%が、男子では高校生の20.4%、学生の8.6%がBMI 値18.5以下であったが、一方、男子学生の8.2%、弘前在住の女子学生の9.5%がBMI 値25.0以上の「肥満」に分類された。毎日排便する者、6時間以上睡眠をとる者の割合は高校生、学生共に男子に比べて女子で低かった。男子学生の「朝食を毎日きちんと摂取する」、「スナック菓子を毎日摂取する」、「食べるものに気をつける」者の割合は女子の半分であったが、喫煙習慣を持つ者、インスタント食品を毎日摂取する者の割合は男子で高かった。男子高校生を除き、運動習慣を持たない者が5割を超えていた。男子学生は女子学生に比べて、魚、乳製品、緑黄色野菜、その他の野菜、果物、キノコ類、海藻、日本茶・中国茶を摂取する頻度が低かったが、高校生においては明らかな男女の差は認められなかった。これらの結果から、生活習慣や食生活に年齢、男女の差があることが明らかとなり、年齢や性差に基づいた健康教育の重要性が示された。To compare lifestyle and dietary habits by age and gender, a questionnaire survey was conducted of high school students (male; 289, female; 240 aged 15-16), 443 male vocational school students (18-24 y)(male students) and 368 female junior college and university students (19-20 y)(female students). 18. 高校生の清潔行動と生活習慣に関する研究

We have conducted an investigation for clean behavior and daily life style among high school students. As research subjects, 621 high school students were randomly selected, and given a questionnaire containing life style patterns, reasons for cleaning body, hygiene-related knowledge and self-esteem. As a result, in factor analysis of clean behavior, five factors, common evasion, clean custom strict enforcement, body surface clean maintenance, oral hygiene consciousness and environmental clean maintenance were extracted. Moreover, in the factor analysis of the reason for keeping the body clean, five factors of stress release body surface clean, prevention of a disease, personal manners and a clean attitude were extracted. The clean behavior currently performed in everyday life is related with a body surface clean maintenance factor, such as underwear is changed every day and taking a bath every day, and the thing about common evasion of a PET bottle turns and a drinker does not do, not grasping the strap of a train, etc. was seldom performed. The reason for keeping the body clean had many which catch the body surface clean maintenance factor for feeling refreshed etc. in the affirmative, in order to remove bodily dirt. Even if there was hygiene-related knowledge, it did not necessarily appear in behavior, and the relation of clean behavior and a self-esteem was not found. It can be said that the subject of how to connect hygiene-related knowledge to desirable behavior was shown from investigation of this high school students., 本研究では,高校生の[|常生活における清潔行動,身体を清潔に保つ理由,衛生に関する知識,生活習慣,セルフェスティームを調査した。その結果,清潔行動の因子分析では「共用回避」,「清潔習慣励行」,「体表清潔保持」,「口腔衛生意識」,「環境清潔保持」の5つの囚子を抽出した。また,身体を清潔に保つ理由についての囚子分析では「ストレス解放」,「体表清潔」,「疾病予防」,「対人マナー」,「清潔態度」の5つの囚子を抽出した。日常生活で多く行われている清潔行動は「毎日下着を替える」,「毎日お風呂に入る」などの体表清潔保持に関するものであり,「ペットボトルの回し飲みはしない」,「電車のつり革を握らない」などの共用回避に関するものはあまり行われていなかった。身体を清潔に保つ理由は「体の汚れを落とすため」,「さっぱりするため」などの体表清潔に関するものが多かった。今回の結果からは清潔に関する知識があってもそれが必ずしも清潔行動につながっておらず,清潔行動とセルフェスティームとの関連もみられなかった。今回の高校生の調査結果からは清潔知識をいかに好ましい清潔行動に結びつけるかの課題が示された。

19. Research on Personality Development Process of High School Student in 'Sexuality Health Education'

(1) "Sexuality education" in Japan has been changed based on social factor and social needs. In recent years, the terms of "sexuality health education" have been instituted based on WHO definition of the health, so this research takes the position that "sexuality health education" indicates. (2) When "sexuality health education" is given at a high school class, for leading student's precise understanding, the program have to be developed with consideration so that their demands meets educational needs. The school health nurses (Yogo teacher) for their own occupational activity try to see a student as a "whole" personal, so they make up "sexuality education" on the "stock of knowledge at hand" with students for matching their demands and educational needs. (3) Through the practice of the "sexuality health education" from school health nurse, the students have gotten precise understandings of sexuality improved their personality development.

This research investigated the relationship between Dapathy and aggression 2)apathy and teacher's support, class atmosphere, support of parents and friendship 3)aggression and teacher's support, class atmosphere, support of parents and friendship within high school students. The questionnaires in terms of both apathy (20 questions) and aggression (22 questions) were administered to 275 high school subjects. As the result of the factory analysis, three factors for apathy and four factors concerning aggression were found, and correlations between both factors were clearly related. In addition, it was found that friendship influenced on their apathy and aggression. These results suggested that children possessing high apathy tendencies were deeply associated with aggressive behaviour, social supports will be influential factor for the adolescent behavior.

The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in Child Care Education of Home Economics since 1945, by analyzing their descriptions in Course of Study. Authors made another attempt to clarify how "readiness for parenthood" had been recoemized in Child Care Education. The results were as follows; The changes in the descriptions in Child Care Education of Home Economics were classified into two stages; the first stage was from the latter half of 1940s to 1980s, and the second stage was from 1990s onward. In the first stage, Child Care Education was to encourage girl students to develop their "readiness for motherhood", growing their maternity. In the second stage, it changed to develop "readiness for parenthood" not only of girl students but also of boy students. On the other hand, this study clarified that in this period cultivating Students' interests to children had been considered as an important factor to develop "readiness for parenthood" of students.

In the first stage, Child Care Education was to encourage girl students to develop their "readiness for motherhood", growing their maternity. In the second stage, it changed to develop "readiness for parenthood" not only of girl students but also of boy students. On the other hand, this study clarified that in this period cultivating Students' interests to children had been considered as an important factor to develop "readiness for parenthood" of students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether high school students who desired the same educational status as their parents (consistent group) showed higher career awareness than those who desired the different educational statuses from their parents (inconsistent group). Participants were 316 tenth-graders, 290 eleventh-graders, and 278 twelfth-graders. They completed the Career Awareness Scale to measure four areas of career awareness; interpersonal relationship, information utilization, future planning, and decision-making. They also completed the Parental Support Scale and Desired Educational Status Questionnaire. The consistent group showed higher parental support score and lower decision-making score than the inconsistent group. Additionally, high school students who desired higher level of educational status showd higher information utilization and decision-making scores than those who desired lower level of educational status. These results were discussed in relation to parent-child relationship.

The bone quality values (OSI) of 119 male high school students were evaluated by acoustic osteo screener. The questionnaire survey on the exercise experience and competence was made from the term of elementary to high school. The relationship between exercise experience and bone mineral density was researched.Result showed that the students who made regular exercise had higher OSI values than that who had not exercise customs. The values of OSI produced higher value within the participants who had longer exercise history and the higher intensity level of exercise.It showed the very important period for the high school students that accumulate bone mineral density from a regular physical exercises and high-level exercise competence.
