Recuperando algumas discussões sobre a performance docente de Gilles Deleuze, presentes em certa literatura francófona recente, esse ensaio apresenta algumas correlações dessa performatividade docente deleuziana com elementos da filosofia do autor. Para tanto, apresenta-se um breve panorama da discussão presente em uma leva de comentadores, articulando-as com discussões conceituais presentes no corpus deleuziano e deleuzo-guattariano. Como hipótese norteadora, defende-se haver em Deleuze uma preocupação em filosofar a partir de um lastro sensível mais do que racional, sendo impossível compreender sua prática docente sem levar em consideração seu apelo por uma sensibilidade filosófica.

O artigo em questão almeja apresentar um breve panorama dos movimentos de difusão e apropriação do pensamento de Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995) no campo das pesquisas em Educação, levando em consideração tanto sua obra individual quanto aquela escrita em parceria com Félix Guattari (1930-1992), contextualizando os distintos momentos do processo de recepção do pensamento desses autores e considerando unicamente as suas décadas iniciais (1980-2000). Para tanto, procedemos com a análise de um extenso arquivo bibliográfico compilado ao longo de nossa pesquisa de mestrado e doutorado, levando em consideração o início da recepção desses autores na década de 1980, integrando o grupo de teóricos ‘pós’ – pós-crítico, pós-estruturalista ou pós-modernos –, até a autonomização das pesquisas deleuzianas e/ou deleuzo-guattarianas na década de 2000, quando do surgimento de uma preocupação com questões de cunho metodológico no interior desses estudos. Defendemos não ser possível compreender o modo como se deu a recepção do pensamento deleuziano, guattariano e deleuzo-guattariano no campo educacional sem levarmos em consideração certos contextos maiores, como aquele instaurado com a crise do paradigma crítico na década de 1980, e entendemos que as pesquisas em educação que se filiam ao diapasão teórico da ‘Filosofia da diferença’ adquirem proeminência e autonomia apenas quando se recusam a combater o paradigma crítico e passam a construir ferramentas metodológicas próprias.

5. A Structured Framework and Resources to Use to Get Your Medical Education Work Published.

IntroductionMedical educators often have great ideas for medical education scholarship but have difficulty converting their educational abstract or project into a published manuscript.MethodsDuring this workshop, participants addressed common challenges in developing an educational manuscript. In small-group case scenarios, participants discovered the importance of the "So what?" in making the case for their project. Incorporating conceptual frameworks, participants chose appropriate outcome metrics, discussed how to frame the discussion section, and ensured appropriate journal fit. After each small-group exercise, large-group discussions allowed the small groups to report back so that facilitators could highlight and reinforce key learning points. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants left with a checklist for creating an educational manuscript and an additional resources document to assist them in avoiding common pitfalls when turning their educational abstract/project into a publishable manuscript.ResultsThis workshop was presented in 2016 and 2017. Presenter evaluations were completed by 33 participants; 11 completed conference evaluations. The mean overall rating on presenter evaluations was 4.55 out of 5, while the conference evaluations mean was 3.73 out of 4. Comments provided on both evaluation tools highlighted the perceived effectiveness of the delivery and content. More than 50% of respondents stated that they planned to incorporate the use of conceptual frameworks in future work.DiscussionThis workshop helped participants address common challenges by providing opportunities for hands-on practice as well as tips and resources for use when submitting a medical education manuscript for publication.

6. Valutazione in pratica: Il rapporto tra tirocinio e conoscenze e abilità valutative dei tirocinanti

Il tirocinio è l’attività formativa che caratterizza i corsi di laurea abilitanti in quanto favorisce, con i laboratori, la costruzione del ‘sapere pratico’ necessario alla crescita della futura professionalità. Nello specifico, il tirocinio dovrebbe favorire la riflessione sulle attività svolte, riguardo la progettazione, l’implementazione e la valutazione degli interventi didattici. Il lavoro riporta uno studio condotto presso le Università di Bergamo e di Reggio Calabria sui tirocini del CdL in Scienze della Formazione Primaria. Lo studio ha voluto esplorare quanto l’esperienza di tirocinio realizzata dagli studenti influisca sui concetti di base delle conoscenze valutative e ha coinvolto un campione di 130 studenti frequentati i corsi di valutazione. L’indagine consente di affermare che gli studenti con all’attivo più ore di tirocinio svolte tendono a: a. sviluppare conoscenze valutative più legate alle circostanze reali, meno astratte e generiche; essere più inclini a cogliere aspetti di valutazione formativa, non solo sommativa. La proposta, pertanto, offre evidenze a conferma dell’importanza del tirocinio nella formazione iniziale degli insegnanti, anche per quanto riguarda l’abilità valutativa.

Almeja-se compreender a intricada relação entre as noções de experimentação e prudência no interior dos tomos integrantes da coleção Capitalismo & Esquizofrenia, escrita por Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari, bem como os modos como cada tomo operacionalizou suas empreitadas de pensamento à baila de alguns elementos metodológicos do trabalho conjunto desses autores. Essa discussão, passível de ser conduzida tanto por meio da análise das cartas trocadas entre Deleuze e Guattari aquando da elaboração de Capitalismo & Esquizofrenia, quanto da leitura das notas compiladas por Guattari nessa mesma época, pode contribuir sobremaneira para o trabalho de pesquisadores/as interessados/as em operar metodologicamente a partir do aporte teórico-conceitual deleuziano e/ou deleuzo-guattariano, mormente no campo educacional. Intenta-se, assim, contribuir com discussões metodológicas em educação com o interesse de, a partir da filosofia de Deleuze e Deleuze-Guattari, construir um ethos de pesquisa mais do que um método de pesquisa. Para tanto, apresenta-se um panorama das apropriações dessa ideia de experimentação pela pesquisa educacional brasileira contemporânea para, na sequência, aprofundar-se a discussão sobre a relação das noções de prudência e experimentação em Capitalismo & Esquizofrenia. Debruçamo-nos sobre o método de trabalho próprio de Deleuze e Guattari, com vistas a extrair problematizações metodológicas que poderão ser estratégicas aos pesquisadores, no que tange aos modos de enfrentamento de problemas, em educação.

O artigo tem como objetivo discutir as implicações da forma ensaística de pensamento para o campo da pesquisa educacional. A partir da triangulação de forças entre o pensamento de Michel de Montaigne, Enrique Vila Matas e Gilles Deleuze-Félix Guattari, o estudo explora de que modo, na aurora da subjetividade moderna, certa arte do retrato, produzida a partir da forma ensaística desenvolvida por Montaigne, permitiu a emergência de um modo de experimentação tateante do pensamento, cujo horizonte se volta a uma condição de desaparição. O trabalho visa esmiuçar essa distinta arte do retrato dedicada à desaparição, focando-se em sua potência fabulatória, bem como explorar suas ressonâncias nos modos como concebemos o ofício do pesquisador, sobretudo no campo educacional, em contraposição a outra arte de retrato denominada cartesiana. Por fim, a discussão aponta que a desaparição, ao instaurar outra geografia de pensamento, possibilita ao pesquisador educacional mobilizar procedimentos outros tendo em vista ensaiar o impensável.

Gilles Deleuze, embora pouco ou nada tenha escrito sobre educação, concedeu uma especial atenção ao conceito de aprendizado. Concebido como um processo involuntário disparatado por um encontro violento com signos heterogêneos que nos levam a pensar, a noção deleuziana de aprendizado parece não conceder espaço para qualquer figura imbuída de autoridade professoral. A aprendizagem, em Deleuze, apresentar-se-ia como um processo imanente que, em tese, prescindiria de mestres ou professores. Não obstante isso, em diversos momentos de sua obra, o filósofo francês chegou a defender a importância de possuirmos mestres ou professores. Buscando elucidar essa aparente contradição, esse artigo procurará pensar como a figura do mestre convive no interior da noção de aprendizado forjada por Deleuze. Para tanto, resgataremos a distinção deleuziana entre o professor público e o pensador privado, tomando-as como disparadoras para pensarmos a figura do mestre. Acreditamos que tal distinção, contrapondo-se às noções formuladas por Immanuel Kant de uso privado e uso público da razão, possibilitaria pensarmos o mestre como aquele responsável por romper com o universo judicativo kantiano e capaz de ofertar um vislumbre de um pensamento sem qualquer lastro judicativo ou representativo – intento último da filosofia de Deleuze e Deleuze-Guattari.

Il riconoscimento del talento e la valorizzazione degli alunni ad alto potenziale rappresenta una sfida importante per la scuola italiana. Con la nota Miur n. 562 del 3 aprile 2019 i bambini ad alto potenziale intellettivo vengono riconosciuti all’interno dei Bisogni Educativi Speciali. Ciò comporta la necessità che gli insegnanti siano formati sia nella fase di riconoscimento di eventuali situazioni di criticità e manifestazioni di disagio legate alla plusdotazione, sia nella messa in atto di approcci didattici differenziati e personalizzati. Dopo aver descritto alcuni test di valutazione, validati a livello internazionale, che consentono di effettuare un’analisi diagnostica di alcune dimensioni centrali nella plusdotazione fra cui, in particolare il Test d’Intelligenza Potenziale si descrivono i principi fondamentali della didattica personalizzata, approfondendo in particolare alcune strategie differenziate che permettono una valorizzazione dei talenti.

11. Corporeità e inclusione. Una ricerca con i futuri insegnanti specializzati

Il riconoscimento del valore educativo delle scienze motorie deriva da un percorso di lunga durata di superamento del dualismo cartesiano fra logos e pathos. I più recenti orientamenti di ricerca didattica enfatizzano il ruolo della corporeità anche nei processi di insegnamento e apprendimento. È importante che anche i corsi di formazione dei futuri insegnanti valorizzino l’educazione motoria, non più intesa solo come distinto ambito disciplinare, ma nella sua trasversalità. Si descrivono protocollo ed esiti di una ricerca esplorativa, condotta nell’a.a. 2019-2020 con 197 docenti frequentanti il Corso di specializzazione per le attività di sostegno didattico agli alunni con disabilità dell’Università Mediterranea degli Studi di Reggio Calabria, avente per oggetto le credenze degli insegnanti specializzandi in relazione all’ambito dell’educazione motoria. La ricerca ha previsto la somministrazione di un questionario incentrato sulle rappresentazioni che i docenti hanno del corpo inteso come mediatore inclusivo. I risultati mostrano il bisogno di valorizzare, nei corsi di formazione universitari specializzanti, l’utilizzo del corpo come mediatore inclusivo, potente facilitatore che amplifica l’accessibilità e la partecipazione.

Introduction The medical community recognizes the importance of confronting structural racism and implicit bias to address health inequities. Several curricula aimed at teaching trainees about these issues are described in the literature. However, few curricula exist that engage faculty members as learners rather than teachers of these topics or target interdisciplinary audiences. Methods We developed a longitudinal case conference curriculum called Health Equity Rounds (HER) to discuss and address the impact of structural racism and implicit bias on patient care. The curriculum engaged participants across training levels and disciplines on these topics utilizing case-based discussion, evidence-based exercises, and two relevant conceptual frameworks. It was delivered quarterly as part of a departmental case conference series. We evaluated HER's feasibility and acceptability by tracking conference attendance and administering postconference surveys. We analyzed quantitative survey data using descriptive statistics and qualitatively reviewed free-text comments. Results We delivered seven 1-hour HER conferences at our institution from June 2016 to June 2018. A mean of 66 participants attended each HER. Most survey respondents (88% or more) indicated that HER promoted personal reflection on implicit bias, and 75% or more indicated that HER would impact their clinical practice. Discussion HER provided a unique forum for practitioners across training levels to address structural racism and implicit bias. Our aim in dissemination is to provide meaningful tools for others to adapt at their own institutions, recognizing that HER should serve as a component of larger, multifaceted efforts to decrease structural racism and implicit bias in health care.

15. Hacking Higher Education: Rethinking the EduHack Course

The paper presents a report that discuss the experience of participation of the authors in the EduHack, an online course designed to train university teachers in the use of digital techniques and learning strategies. This study highlights two issues of great interest in pandemic times. The first one is the structure and the organization of the EduHack course with some suggestions related to its improvement; the second one is Drag&Fly, the project idea of an e-learning web platform developed by the authors during the collaborative part of the course. The experience of participation to EduHack course has been analyzed by authors using concepts and categories of analysis widespread in the pragmatic theoretical tradition, enhancing the possibility of changing the teachers’ approach to the design and the implementation of a higher education e-learning course.

La valutazione dei professionisti che operano nel campo dell’Educazione degli Adulti (EDA) riveste un ruolo cruciale nelle politiche europee. Tuttavia, il sintagma agire educativo è di difficile perimetrazione, in quanto riguarda un target plurimo di fruitori, con azioni declinate in differenti contesti e per differenti scopi: il lavoro educativo rappresenta un complesso “oggetto da valutare” e la valutazione del lavoro educativo richiede prospettive, metodi e pratiche plurime. Grazie al progetto europeo EDUEVAL (coordinato dall’Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, http://www.edueval.eu/), si è contribuito alla definizione del valutatore degli staff EDA come una figura professionale con spiccate caratteristiche di polifunzionalità in grado di operare in vari contesti. Nello studio del profilo del valutatore dell’AE staff, e nel disegno del modello di formazione che ne consegue, si è tenuto in considerazione, per un verso, il frame teorico che guarda alle competenze professionali specifiche del valutatore; per altro verso, è stato svolto un lavoro di ricognizione delle competenze professionali trasversali del valutatore, attraverso una consultazione e immersione nel portale di orientamento professionale ESCO. Le risultanze del progetto EDUEVAL contribuiscono ad alimentare il dibattito in tema di professionalizzazione della pratica valutativa.

19. Education and Fertility: A comparative Micro-econometric Analysis in Europe

In this paper we investigate the relationship between education and completed fertility decisions at couple level for some EU countries. For this purpose we control for demographic, social and economic conditions, by using the European Community Household Panel (ECHP) dataset. In order to handle the endogeneity issue in fertility decisions, we use the Linear Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) method, where female’s education is instrumented by her partner’s education. The contribution to the literature is to investigate the extent to which the effect of education on fertility may be intensified by the postponement and the career effects.

Questo contributo si focalizza sulle potenzialità educative e pedagogiche di un nuovo strumento di trasmissione scientifica, partendo dall’esperienza e dalla valutazione di un progetto di divulgazione della cultura scientifica nelle scuole: il laboratorio teatrale. Il protocollo di indagine, in fase di costruzione, comprende strumenti metodologici diversi (interviste, questionari e analisi delle videoriprese) e si colloca in una prospettiva descrittiva e “bottom up”.

21. Percorsi di ricerca-formazione 'utili' agli insegnanti Fra Education Benchmarks 2020 e prospettive di ricerca evidence-based

La ricerca evidence-based è qui proposta come “funzionale” alla pratica didattica. Sono qui esposti due studi collocati entro un framework cooperativo (Perla, 2010) e realizzati con insegnanti di materie scientifiche nella scuola secondaria. L’indagine mira a evidenziare variabili educative implicite e a migliorare la pratica didattica professionale. Gli approcci pratici combinano etnometodologia e fenomenologia, valorizzando dunque la prospettiva dei docenti. La prima analisi, chiamata Performascienza, deriva dall’immaginario scientifico degli insegnanti e dalla loro rappresentazione degli scienziati e della loro attività (Morgese e Vinci, 2010); la seconda analisi sottolinea le routine pratiche della divulgazione scientifica (Vinci, 2011). La metodologia utilizzata in entrambi i casi comprende l’analisi delle pratiche didattiche attraverso l’esplicitazione di interviste (Vermersch, 1994) e video-casi (Tochon, 2007). La codifica dei dati è svolta utilizzando un software specifico: NVivo8. E’ inoltre descritto un progetto tuttora in corso circa la formazione degli insegnanti mirata all’analisi delle pratiche didattiche ordinarie attraverso la cosiddetta triangolazione riflessiva (Perla, 2011). 22. Four Core Cases: A Simulation Curriculum for Pediatrics Residents

Abstract Introduction This is a syllabus of a longitudinal simulation curriculum designed to teach pediatric residents the basic skills and behaviors of pediatric resuscitation. Goals of the curriculum are to develop proficiency with basic pediatric resuscitation algorithms, skills, and select procedures; leadership and communication skills for multidisciplinary crisis resource management; and confidence with acute resuscitation. Methods The syllabus comprises four pediatric emergency and critical care simulation scenarios: status asthmaticus, status epilepticus, septic shock, and a toxicology case with cardiac arrest. Each scenario was designed as 60− to 75-minute resident conference: introduction (10 minutes), simulation activity (7-15 minutes), debriefing (35 minutes), and repeat of the simulation (7-15 minutes). Repeating the scenario after debriefing, also known as repetitive pediatric simulation (RPS), allowed immediate application of feedback. Performance was assessed using modified versions of the Tool for Resuscitation Assessment Using Computerized Simulation (TRACS). TRACS is a reliable and preliminarily validated tool assessing resident performance in four domains of pediatric resuscitation: basics, airway, circulation and arrhythmias, and behavior. Results The curriculum was piloted from August 2012 through June 2013. Although we piloted all four scenarios, the fourth scenario (toxicologic pulseless electric activity/ventricular fibrillation arrest) was utilized most often, as part of a nested research study comparing the RPS format to standard simulation. Discussion Time was our greatest limitation. Given the multiple demands on resident time, implementation during reliably protected educational time is the most sustainable approach. For programs looking to implement and/or build upon the cases provided here, we suggest utilizing a time slot that is already protected for residents and anticipating a total educational time of 75-90 minutes. Although it adds to the time burden, we highly encourage using the RPS format, given its greater associated learner satisfaction. By providing these resources in one syllabus, we hope the cases may be reproduced, implemented and expanded upon by resident educators.

23. Fostering Humanism and Professionalism in Pediatric Residency Training

Abstract The residency experience presents trainees with many challenges that conspire to suppress compassion and empathy. As a result, residents are at risk for depression and burnout, and educators must seek new curricular elements to foster humanism and professionalism in residency training. Additionally, the teaching of professionalism is required by the ACGME and encouraged by the American Board of Pediatrics. We developed a case-based discussion curriculum for the Boston Combined Residency in Pediatrics, which was implemented in September 2007. The curriculum aims to support residents, allow them time to reflect on their doctoring, and foster the development of coping strategies. Pediatric interns and junior's classes are each divided into small groups of 10–12, and all groups have two to three faculty facilitators. Groups remain constant over time to create continuity and a safe environment for discussion. The groups convene monthly, September through June, in place of the regular noon conference. Residents receive readings from the artistic medical literature prior to each session. During each session, participants read aloud a case vignette highlighting one of the many challenges to humanism and professionalism. The vignette is used as a reflective trigger for ensuing discussion. Feedback is collected from facilitators and residents after each session. The curriculum has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from residents, facilitators, and residency leadership. We request that resident participants and group facilitators complete feedback forms, which ask about the usefulness of the case vignette; relevance of the session topic; opportunities for reflection, communication, and identification of coping skills; and whether the session represents an important facet of the overall teaching curriculum. Feedback data indicate that the most influential and appreciated aspect of the curriculum is the continuity and sense of community afforded by the small groups. Time and again residents have commented that coming together with a consistent group of classmates to communicate about experiences the group shares is enlightening and meaningful.

Background and aims Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an inherited disorder characterized by high levels of blood cholesterol from birth and premature coronary heart disease. Thus, the identification of FH patients is crucial to prevent or delay the onset of cardiovascular events, and the availability of a tool helping with the diagnosis in the setting of general medicine is essential to improve FH patient identification. Methods This study evaluated the performance of the Dutch Lipid Clinic Network (DLCN) score in FH patients enrolled in the LIPIGEN study, an Italian integrated network aimed at improving the identification of patients with genetic dyslipidaemias, including FH. Results The DLCN score was applied on a sample of 1377 adults (mean age 42.9 ± 14.2 years) with genetic diagnosis of FH, resulting in 28.5% of the sample classified as probable FH and 37.9% as classified definite FH. Among these subjects, 43.4% had at least one missing data out of 8, and about 10.0% had 4 missing data or more. When analyzed based on the type of missing data, a higher percentage of subjects with at least 1 missing data in the clinical history or physical examination was classified as possible FH (DLCN score 3–5). We also found that using real or estimated pre-treatment LDL-C levels may significantly modify the DLCN score. Conclusions Although the DLCN score is a useful tool for physicians in the diagnosis of FH, it may be limited by the complexity to retrieve all the essential information, suggesting a crucial role of the clinical judgement in the identification of FH subjects.

25. Visual-motor functional connectivity in preschool children emerges after handwriting experience.

- Abstract
Handwriting letters has been shown to increase Blood Oxygen Level Dependent (BOLD) signal during letter perception in visual and motor brain regions relative to other types of training in preschool children. However, co-activation in these regions speaks neither to the presence of functional connections between them nor to the experiences by which such connections might be established. We investigated functional connectivity by applying generalized psychophysiological interactions analysis to BOLD data obtained from 4 to 6 year-old children after learning symbols through handwriting, tracing, or typing. Functional connections between (1) visual and parietal regions increased after all training conditions, (2) visual and ventral frontal regions increased after handwriting training with letters more than shapes, and (3) visual and dorsal frontal motor regions increased more after handwriting than typing letters. We conclude that visual-motor training creates functional connections among visual and motor brain regions that reflect different aspects of the handwriting experience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

26. Pediatric Resident Education About Medical Errors.

- Abstract
Background.-National organizations have called for patient safety curricula to help reduce the incidence of errors. Little is known about what trainees are taught about medical errors. Objective- 1) To determine the amount and type of training that pediatric residents have about medical errors and 2) to assess pediatric chief resident knowledge about medical errors. Methods-We surveyed chief residents from a national sample of 51 pediatric training programs by selecting every fourth program from the American Council on Graduate Medical Education list of accredited programs. The 21-item telephone survey was developed with patient safety specialists and piloted on several chief residents. It asked about patient-safety training sessions and awareness and knowledge about medical errors. Results -The 51 chief residents helped teach 2176 residents, approximately one third of all pediatric residents. One third of programs had no lectures about medical errors and 23% did not have morbidity and mortality rounds. Sixty-one percent of respondents stated that outpatient medical errors were rarely discussed. Informal teaching was most often reported as the primary method for educating residents about medical errors. Although 58% of respondents did not know that a systemic change should be made in response to a medical error, 83% felt that residents are adequately trained to deal with a medical error. Discussion.-Pediatric resident education about medical errors varies widely. Attention by pediatric residency training programs to this important issue seems limited. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Insulin resistance often characterizes chronic uremia, and is associated with enhanced morbidity and mortality, because it may contribute to protein-energy wasting (in turn, an independent predictor of reduced survival), atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular death. Causes of insulin resistance in chronic uremia are complex and multifactorial. Obesity is emerging as an independent risk factor for chronic kidney disease, and an expected rise in number of obese uremic patients because of the ongoing worldwide obesity epidemic is likely to increase the prevalence of insulin resistance in chronic uremia in the near future. Similar to the general population, reported associations between obesity and insulin resistance in chronic uremia support a role of adipose tissue and altered adipokine profiles in insulin resistance in obese chronic kidney disease patients. Hormonal imbalances, chronic acidosis, and systemic inflammation and oxidative stress are uremia-associated relevant causes of insulin resistance in nonobese individuals. A further understanding of the causes of insulin resistance in chronic uremia represents a potential important tool in the design of more effective therapeutic strategies to reduce uremia-associated morbidity and mortality.
