Augusto Ferreira, no munic?pio de Caratinga/MG no per?odo de 1960 a 1980. O que se percebe nas ?ltimas d?cadas ? que a educa??o passou por um processo de democratiza??o, com mudan?as legais que levaram educa??o para todos, sendo o cidad?o portador de direito ? educa??o p?blica gratuita. Contudo, ?ndices revelam que a qualidade do ensino vem caindo e o reflexo ? direto na sociedade e no mercado de trabalho. Por isto, buscou-se analisar o per?odo ?ureo da educa??o brasileira, que foi da d?cada de 1960 a 1980, d?cadas marcadas por um governo militar, onde n?o havia liberdade de express?o e manifesta??o, mas que houve um direcionamento para a forma??o intelectual, f?sica e moral do cidad?o. Assim sendo, foi realizada uma pesquisa de revis?o de literatura, apontando caracter?sticas hist?ricas da educa??o brasileira, as transforma??es educacionais ocorridas nas d?cadas de 1960 e 1970, complementando o estudo com uma pesquisa realizada por meio de entrevistas com ex-alunos e ex-professores sobre suas percep??es do processo educacional vivenciado na Escola Estadual Jos? Augusto Ferreira. Como resultado das entrevistas foi poss?vel perceber que tanto ex-alunos quanto ex-professores ressaltaram que a Escola Estadual Jos? Augusto Ferreira possu?a uma boa estrutura e profissionais com boa forma??o que se dedicavam ao ensino, oferecendo forma??o intelectual e ?tica, atrav?s de organiza??o e est?mulo ao pensamento cr?tico. Foi poss?vel concluir que esse conjunto de fatores, aliados ? participa??o ativa da fam?lia na educa??o dos filhos formaram o diferencial que lan?ou ? sociedade cidad?os e profissionais qualificados. The research described here was a study on the history, technology and quality of education at the Jos? Augusto Ferreira State School, in the city of Caratinga / MG from 1960 to 1980. What can be seen in recent decades is that education has gone through a democratization process, with legal changes that led education for all, being the citizen with the right to free public education. However, indices show that the quality of education has been falling and the impact is direct on society and the labor market. Therefore, we sought to analyze the golden period of Brazilian education, from the 1960s to the 1980s, decades marked by a military government, where there was no freedom of expression and manifestation, but that there was a direction for intellectual, physical formation. and moral of the citizen. Thus, a literature review research was conducted, pointing out the historical characteristics of Brazilian education, the educational transformations that occurred in the 1960s and 1970s, complementing the study with a research conducted through interviews with alumni and former teachers about his perceptions of the educational process experienced at the Jos? Augusto Ferreira State School. As a result of the interviews, it was possible to realize that both alumni and former teachers stressed that Jos? Augusto Ferreira State School had a good structure, with well-trained professionals who were dedicated to teaching, offering intellectual and ethical training, through organization and stimulation of critical thinking. It was possible to conclude that this set of factors, allied to the active participation of the family in the education of the children, formed the differential that launched citizens and qualified professionals.
