The paper presents a generalized analysis of resonant inverters with parallel loaded resonant capacitor. The cases of operation of resonant inverters in the mode of forced switching of devices (supra resonance frequency mode) and mode of natural switching of devices (sub resonance frequency mode) are considered. The expressions for the input current and the load voltage are derived and all the quantities necessary for the design of these inverters are obtained. By analogy with resonant inverters with serial compensation, the oscillation coefficient is proposed for resonant inverters with parallel compensation - kP and frequency ratio . Hence it is very useful in engineering practice and in teaching Power Electronics. Its applicability is proven with mathematic modelling, control design, computer simulation and rapid prototyping.
