An electrochemiluminescence (ECL) nanoprobe was fabricated for the determination of clenbuterol (CLB). A molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) film was coated on the surface of the glassy carbon electrode modified with CdTe-doped multiwall carbon nanotubes. The MIP film with CLB as the template molecule improves the selectivity of the nanoprobe, CdTe is used as ECL signal amplifier, and MWCNT works as the carrier. The ECL intensity is altered by elution and reabsorption of CLB. The possible reaction mechanism and experimental parameters of the nanoprobe are discussed. Under optimized conditions, the quenched ECL intensity and the CLB concentration have a linear relationship in the range 2.3 × 10−9 to 1.5 × 10−5 mol·L−1, and the detection limit is 1.0 × 10−9 mol·L−1 (S/N = 3). A specificity recognition molecularly imprinted electrochemiluminescence sensor (MIECLS) for determination of clenbuterol (CLB) was established by molecular imprinting technology. In this sensing platform, Fe 2 O 3 was used as the carrier to fix Ru(bpy) 3 2+, and it could also improve electrochemiluminescence (ECL) signal due to large specific surface area and better electronic transmission efficiency. The introduction of molecular imprinted membranes (MIPs) with CLB as template molecules realized the specificity identification of sensors. The intensity of the ECL signal decreased gradually when the concentration of CLB increased. Based on this characteristic, a novel method for measuring CLB was established, and the related mechanism was studied. Under the optimal conditions, the ECL response was proportional to the logarithm of CLB concentration in the range of 1 × 10−9 mol L−1 to 1 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 3.3 × 10−10 mol L−1. • An ultrasensitive electrochemiluminescence sensor for permethrin was designed. • Fe 2 O 3 and Au NPs have a powerful enhancing effect on the ECL emission. • The use range of luminol electrochemiluminescence system has been expanded. • The sensor was applied to detect permethrin in rape and apple samples. A sensitive electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor has been developed for the determination of permethrin based on iron oxide nanomaterials (Fe 2 O 3) and Au nanoparticles (Au NPs). The ECL response of luminol/O 2 system is enhanced obviously due to the synergy effect between Fe 2 O 3 and Au NPs. The possible mechanism of ECL phenomenon is studied. Furthermore, the ECL emission increases with adding permethrin, and the determination of permethrin could be achieved by monitoring the ECL intensity. Under the optimal conditions, the novel ECL sensor achieved an efficient detection of permethrin range from 2.6 × 10−9 mol L−1 to 4.3 × 10−5 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 8.7 × 10−10 mol L−1. Metal oxides containing iron and zinc (ZnO-Fe 2 O 3) combined with ruthenium bipyridine [Ru(bpy) 3 2+], graphene oxide (GO) and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNTs) were applied in the field of electrochemiluminescence (ECL). And a new solid-state ECL sensor for malathion determination by modifying ZnO-Fe 2 O 3 , Ru(bpy) 3 2+, GO@MWNTs, Acetylcholinesterase (AchE) and Nafion on the electrode surface. The synthesized ZnO-Fe 2 O 3 and GO@MWNTs with large specific surface area were used as carrier to anchor Ru(bpy) 3 2+ and AchE, respectively. ZnO-Fe 2 O 3 and GO@MWNTs can also be used as accelerators to promote electron transfer of the system. ZnO-Fe 2 O 3 was also involved in the luminescence reaction, which increased the sensitivity of the system together with Ru(bpy) 3 2+. Taking advantages of the electrocatalysis and electron transport capacity of ZnO-Fe 2 O 3 and GO@MWNTs, the sensor obtained stable and amazing ECL response. The ECL response value decreased after malathion was introduced. In the range of 6.6 × 10−11 to 6.6 × 10−7 M, the decrease value (ΔI) was linearly related to the logarithm of malathion concentration, and the detection limit was 2.2 × 10−11 M. This work was the first to explore the application of Ni-MOF composite electrospinning nanofibers (Ni-MOF NFs) in ECL system, and a novel glucose ECL sensor based on Au NPs and Ni-MOF NFs was constructed. The Ni-MOF NFs, as a co-reaction promoter and as glucose oxidase carrier, was coated on the Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) to enhance the performance of ECL. The sensor exhibits obvious ECL characteristics and stability under optimal experimental conditions. And the sensor can be successfully applied to detect glucose in human serum. An enhancing-type electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor was constructed for the determination of glucose. The ECL platform used Ru(bpy) 3 2+ as the luminescent reagent, which was immobilized on the electrode by carbon nanotubes (MWNTs), and then cobalt oxide doped silver oxide (Co 3 O 4 @Ag 2 O) and porphyrin zinc (TMPP-Zn) were modified on the electrode in turn.
