This article discusses the results of a Pan-European survey on the training conditions for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), an advanced endoscopic procedure. The survey found that while a structured training regimen was considered desirable by 80% of respondents, only 14% of trainees and 28% of trainers reported having such a program in their institutions. Additionally, the survey revealed that around 30% of trainees were practicing at low-volume centers, despite the majority agreeing that training should be concentrated in centers meeting certain quality metrics.
