Abstract

The article reports on the implementation of policies for industrial energy conservation and emission reduction and its impact on industrial sectors, by the eleventh Five-year Program period of China (2006-2010), the National Development and Reform Commission PRC (NDRC). The impacts include small scale firms have been shut down, product prices increased, and operating performance for large firms have recovered and more investment have been created. The overall impacts are positive.
