The article reports on the plans of the U.S. government to develop solutions to reduce the arising environmental problems, particularly the green house gas emission. According to the article, the development of carbon capture sequestration (CCS) is viewed as a solution with regards to the environmental concern. Also, it relates that CCS is expected to play an important role not only in the economy but also in the environmental condition. It further states that traditional energy producers in the states had taken the lead to commercialize CCS. Additionally, members of a coalition in Western States of the U.S. have signed an agreement which establishes the Western Regional Climate Action Initiative that aims to reduce green house gas emission.
