4. Construction of Sustainable Digital Factory for Automated Warehouse Based on Integration of ERP and WMS.

- Abstract
The integration and application of a warehouse system and manufacturing system has become a manufacturing problem for enterprises. The main reason is that the information control system based on automation and stereo warehouse is inconsistent with the production and management information system of the enterprise in terms of business, data, functions, etc. Based on this, this paper studies the implementation of an automated warehouse based on the integration of ERP (enterprise resource planning) and WMS (warehouse management system) with the method and technology of the intermediate table. Moreover, MES (manufacturing execution system) is the brain and the core part of a sustainable digital factory. The enterprise adopts advanced intelligent and information technology to build and deploy the MES, realize fine management and agile production, and meet the personalized needs of the market. Therefore, this paper studies the implementation path and effect based on MES from an industrial realization to construct a sustainable digital factory. The research results of this paper can improve industrial efficiency and reduce costs for enterprises in storage capacity, handling capacity, response rate, rate of error, number of operators, etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Les noves tecnologies han canviat la forma en la qual les empreses treballen. En les empreses diligatizades, els processos de negoci diaris es duen a terme a través d'una eina anomenada ERP. Aquest document forma part del TFG "Integració d'un sistema e-commerce i un Warehouse Management System amb un ERP" que s'ha realitzat en el marc d'unes pràctiques a Forgeflow S.L. Forgeflow és una empresa de Barcelona que implanta un ERP anomenat Odoo. El projecte desenvolupat es tracta d'una empresa danesa que produeix i comercialitza mobles de disseny que ha decidit expandir les seves operacions als estats units. Per fer-ho a externalitzat tant el desenvolupament de l'e-commerce com la gestió logística del producte. Per tant, l'ERP gestionat per Forgeflow s'haurà de connectar amb la plataforma e-commerce i amb el WMS del soci logístic per replicar les dades d'aquests en l'ERP Odoo que és la peça central dels sistemes de la informació del client. New technologies have disrupted the way in which companies work. In digitalized companies, daily tasks are made through a tool named ERP. This document is part of the final thesis "Integració d'un sistema e-commerce i un warehouse Management System amb un ERP" which has been done during an internship in Forgeflow S.L. Forgeflow is a company from Barcelona which implements an ERP named Odoo. The project developed is related to a danish company that manufactures and commercializes high-end furniture, and has decided to expand into the United States. They will do so externalizing the development of the e-commerce platform and the logistics. Therefore, the ERP will have to be able to connect with the e-commerce platform and the WMS used by the logistic partner to replicate the data in Odoo since it is the central piece of the client's information systems.

Στόχος της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση της μηχανογραφικής εφαρμογής προληπτικής συντήρησης και ακινησιών αρμάτων τύπου LEOPARD που αναπτύχθηκε από τον Υπολοχαγό Υλικού Πολέμου Φώτιο Ελμαλιώτη. Αρχικά στο 1ο κεφάλαιο, γίνεται αναφορά στους όρους κλειδιά «Διοίκηση της Αλυσίδας Εφοδιασμού» και “Logistics”. Ειδικότερα, περιγράφεται η εμφάνιση και η εξέλιξη της διοίκησης εφοδιασμού και έπειτα, αναλύονται οι δράσεις της σε στρατηγικό και λειτουργικό επίπεδο. Στη συνέχεια, μελετάται ο όρος των Logistics και παρουσιάζονται οι λειτουργικοί τομείς του ως τμήμα της Διοίκησης Εφοδιασμού. Στη συνέχεια, γίνεται αναφορά στα πληροφοριακά συστήματα δίνοντας έμφαση στα συστήματα ERP και WMS. Αναλυτικότερα, παρουσιάζεται η ιστορική τους εξέλιξη ενώ γίνεται ανάλυση των πλεονεκτημάτων καθώς και των μειονεκτημάτων που παρατηρούνται κατά τη χρήση τους. Επιπρόσθετα, γίνεται αναφορά στον όρο του ηλεκτρονικού επιχειρείν και παρουσιάζεται ο ρόλος του στην εφοδιαστική αλυσίδα. Στο 3ο Κεφάλαιο, παρουσιάζεται το Σώμα Υλικού Πολέμου το οποίο διαδραματίζει καταλυτικό ρόλο στην εφοδιαστική υποστήριξη του Στρατού Ξηράς. Παράλληλα, γίνεται αναφορά στο έργο και στην αποστολή του Κέντρου Ελέγχου Υλικών, προσωπικό του οποίου προέβη στο σχεδιασμό και την ανάπτυξη της μηχανογραφικής εφαρμογής που θα αναλυθεί στην παρούσα εργασία. Επίσης, παρουσιάζεται η διαδικασία εφοδιασμού σε υλικά και ανταλλακτικά. Περνώντας στο βασικό κεφάλαιο της παρούσας, γίνεται παρουσίαση της μηχανογραφικής εφαρμογής. Αναλύεται η λειτουργία της και οι επιδιωκόμενοι στόχοι, ενώ παρουσιάζονται στιγμιότυπα από το περιβάλλον εργασίας. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι, πληροφορίες που άπτονται της σύνθεσης και δομής των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων, σκοπίμως έχουν αφαιρεθεί από τις συνημμένες εικόνες. Κλείνοντας, παρουσιάζονται τα συμπεράσματα από τη χρήση της υπόψη μηχανογραφικής εφαρμογής καθώς και οι σύγχρονες προκλήσεις βελτίωσής της. Αναμφισβήτητα, αποτελεί ένα καινοτόμο μηχανογραφικό εργαλείο, που συμβάλλει στην ταχεία και αποτελεσματική εφοδιαστική υποστήριξη του αρματικού μας δυναμικού.

Ovaj diplomski rad na temu „Razvoj mobilnog WMS-a i integracija s ERP-om“ temelji se na prikazu projektnog razvoja WMS sustava i integracije samog WMS sustava s GoSoft ERP sustavom. U prvom dijelu diplomskog rada će se objasniti temeljni pojmovi i važnost logističkog menadžmenta u današnjem svijetu, upravljanju skladištem i zalihama. Nakon toga se prikazuju funkcionalnosti i važnost sustava za upravljanje skladišta i sustava za planiranje resursa poduzeća. U modernom dobu je opstanak i konkurentnost poduzeća gotovo nezamisliv bez uvođenja modernih tehnologija, automatiziranih sustava i velikih baza podataka koje služe za detaljnu i prediktivnu analizu, optimalni i profitabilni rad poduzeća. U praktičnom dijelu diplomskog rada će biti opisan rad i cijeli skladišni proces s GoSoft ERP sustavom i o samoj funkcionalnosti ERP sustava, dok se u završnom dijelu diplomski rad bazira na projektnom prikazu razrade koncepta WMS aplikacije i integracije s GoSoft ERP sustavom. This thesis on the topic "Development of mobile WMS and integration with ERP" is based on the presentation of project development of WMS system and integration of WMS system with GoSoft ERP system. The first part of the thesis will explain the basic concepts and importance of logistics management in today's world, warehouse and inventory management. After that, the functionalities and importance of the warehouse management system and the enterprise resource planning system are presented. In the modern age, the survival and competitiveness of enterprises is almost inconceivable without the introduction of modern technologies, automated systems and large databases that serve for detailed and predictive analysis, optimal and profitable operation of the enterprise. The practical part of the thesis will describe the work and the whole warehousing process with the GoSoft ERP system and the functionality of the ERP system, while the final part of the thesis is based on a project presentation of the concept of WMS and integration with GoSoft ERP system.

La millora constant de la cadena de subministrament està sent un dels factors determinants a l'hora d'incrementar la competitivitat de moltes empreses. Per consegüent, l'automatització dels processos involucrats en la gestió dels magatzems i la integració de les dades generades amb els sistemes d'informació de les empreses són alguns dels àmbits en els quals les organitzacions hi estan destinant més recursos. Aquest treball té com a objectiu dissenyar i implementar un sistema capaç de gestionar un magatzem automàtic format per transelevadors a més d'integrar-lo amb un sistema ERP. El sistema ha estat desenvolupat amb la col·laboració de l'empresa TAVIL IND. S.A.U. utilitzant C Sharp i la tecnologia Windows Presentation Foundation. El sistema final permet introduir i retirar materials del magatzem de forma automàtica tenint en compte les característiques dels productes així com controlar l'inventari. El producte final resulta notablement competitiu per a gestionar específicament els magatzems formats per transelevadors. En aquest sentit, de cara al futur aquest projecte es podria ampliar de tal manera que el sistema fos capaç de gestionar el conjunt de processos que tenen lloc en un magatzem. The constant improvement of the supply chain is being one of the determining factors when it comes to increasing the competitiveness of many companies. Consequently, the automation of the processes involved in the warehouses, as well as the integration of the data generated with the information systems of companies are some of the areas in which organizations are allocating more resources. This project aims to design and implement a system capable of managing an automated warehouse made up of stacker cranes as well as integrating it with an ERP system. The system has been developed in collaboration with the company TAVIL IND. S.A.U. using C Sharp and Windows Presentation Foundation technology. The final system allows materials to be entered and withdrawn automatically from the warehouse, considering the characteristics of the products, as well as controlling the inventory. The final product is remarkably competitive for specifically managing warehouses made up of stacker cranes. In this sense, in the future this project could be expanded so that the system would be able to manage the set of processes that take place in a warehouse.

Οι πληροφορίες είναι ζωτικής σημασίας για την απόδοση μιας αλυσίδας εφοδιασμού επειδή παρέχουν τη βάση στην οποία οι managers της εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας λαμβάνουν αποφάσεις. Η τεχνολογία της πληροφορίας αποτελείται από τα εργαλεία που χρησιμοποιούνται για την απόκτηση της επίγνωσης των πληροφοριών, την ανάλυση αυτών και την εκτέλεσή τους για τη βελτίωση της απόδοσης της αλυσίδας εφοδιασμού. Οι πληροφορίες είναι απαραίτητες για τη λήψη σωστών αποφάσεων για την αλυσίδα εφοδιασμού, επειδή παρέχουν την ευρεία εικόνα που απαιτείται για τη λήψη βέλτιστων αποφάσεων. Το IT (Information Technology) παρέχει τα εργαλεία για τη συλλογή αυτών των πληροφοριών και την ανάλυσή τους για τη λήψη των καλύτερων αποφάσεων για την αλυσίδα εφοδιασμού. Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία πραγματεύεται την πρωτοφανή ανάπτυξη των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφορίας και την υιοθέτηση των πληροφοριακών συστημάτων από τις επιχειρήσεις. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο αναλύουμε το πληροφοριακό σύστημα και την ραγδαία εξέλιξη του από την δεκαετία του 1960 έως σήμερα. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο εισάγουμε την έννοια των Logistics και τις βασικές λειτουργίες αυτών. Στην συνέχεια αναφέρεται ο σχεδιασμός της αποθήκης, οι βασικές της λειτουργίες ενώ περιγράφεται λεπτομερώς ο εξοπλισμός, τα συστήματα αποθήκευσης και ο εξοπλισμός ενδοαποθηκευτικής διακίνησης. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζεται το πληροφοριακό σύστημα διαχείρισης αποθηκών (Warehouse Management System - WMS), πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα της χρήσης του. Όπως επίσης αναλύεται η αυτόματη συλλογή δεδομένων RFID, συστήματα RF, Barcode και άλλα ευφυή συστήματα διαχείρισης. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο περιγράφεται αναλυτικά η εφαρμογή του πληροφοριακού συστήματος διαχείρισης ERP με MS Access, δηλαδή, θα δούμε βήμα - βήμα την διαδικασία διανομής περιοδικών και πώς καταχωρείτε στο πληροφοριακό σύστημα. Τέλος, παρατίθενται τα συμπεράσματα που προέκυψαν από την περιπτωσιολογική μελέτη., Information is vital to the performance of a supply chain because it provides the basis on which supply chain managers make decisions. Information technology consists of the tools used to acquire information awareness, analyze it and execute it to improve supply chain performance. Information is essential for making the right supply chain decisions because it provides the broad picture needed to make the best decisions. IT (Information Technology) provides the tools to gather this information and analyze it to make the best supply chain decisions. This dissertation deals with the unprecedented development of Information Technologies and the adoption of information systems by companies. More specifically, in the first chapter we analyze the information system and its rapid evolution from the 1960s until today. In the second chapter we introduce the concept of Logistics and their basic functions. The following is the design of the warehouse, its basic functions and describes in detail the equipment, storage systems and equipment for intra-storage handling. The third chapter presents the warehouse management information system (Warehouse) (WMS), advantages and disadvantages of its use. Automatic RFID data collection, RF systems, Barcode and other intelligent management systems are also analyzed. The fourth chapter describes in detail the implementation of the ERP management information system with MS Access, that is, we will see step by step the process of distributing magazines and how to register in the information system. Finally, the conclusions that emerged from the case study are presented.

Hoy en día, las empresas no solo se preocupan por vender o desarrollar estrategias que los mantengan en la mente de sus consumidores; la competencia ya no solo se trata de ganar la mayor parte del mercado, actualmente las empresas también compiten en costos, tecnología y procesos. La optimización de los recursos es un factor clave en el éxito de las compañías. En el sector industrial, los clientes vigilan de cerca que sus proveedores cuenten con las mejores tecnologías, los procesos más esbeltos y un control óptimo de sus inventarios, ya que cualquier error puede afectarlos directamente, por eso se encuentran en una búsqueda constante de la mejora continua. La presente tesis expone el caso de estudio de la compañía Plastic Omnium Auto Industrial S. de R.L. de C.V., ubicada en la ciudad de Aguascalientes en la zona central de México, expone como problemática el control de los inventarios. El trabajo se compone de cinco capítulos, el primero dedicado a los antecedentes, donde se explica de manera breve la historia de la compañía, así como los principales procesos y productos, terminando con la definición de la problemática y los objetivos. En el capítulo 2 se desarrolla el marco teórico, que señala las bases y fundamentos teóricos necesarios para la comprensión de la presente investigación. En el marco teórico se profundiza en temas relacionados con las principales variables: mejora continua y administración de almacenes. En el tercer capítulo se detalla la metodología utilizada encabezada por una investigación exploratoria con alcance descriptivo. Para el estudio de caso se aplicaron entrevistas de profundidad a una muestra seleccionada por el método no probabilístico, ya que los participantes se eligieron de forma directa. De igual manera la recolección de datos se llevó a cabo principalmente por observación, y mediante el uso de la metodología de la compañía SAP, para la implementación de proyectos llamada ASAP, conformada de seis etapas o fases, de las 6 cuales se desarrollan las 4 principales en este trabajo, ya que el alcance es hasta la fase de análisis y propuesta del proyecto, sin considerar la implementación, soporte y medición de resultados a mediano y largo plazo. En el capítulo cuatro se exponen los resultados obtenidos de las entrevistas de profundidad, aplicadas al gerente de logística, coordinador de almacenes y a la planeadora de materiales. También se detalla el análisis obtenido del estudio de caso, así como la propuesta completa de implementación del proyecto. Por último, en el capítulo 5, se presentan las conclusiones, que incluyen a manera general los resultados obtenidos en el análisis, así como una explicación de los mismos, que se centran principalmente en el entendimiento más profundo de la problemática con la administración de los almacenes, la falta de entrenamiento del personal y el desconocimiento de los inventarios, lo cual lleva a una falta de desarrollo de estrategias sostenibles a mediano y largo plazo, lo que a su vez se ve reflejado en las pérdidas financieras de la compañía. Como conclusión, el contar con estrategias de administración de almacenes y con sistemas de información que permitan desarrollarlas, se ve reflejado directamente en el control de los inventarios, así como la optimización de éstos, lo cual representa una utilización optima de los recursos y menores costos, lo que a su vez representa mayores utilidades y un riesgo menor de afectación al cliente por falta de algún material. El desafío de hoy en día de lograr una mayor eficiencia en las operaciones logísticas y mejorar los tiempos de respuesta a los diferentes requerimientos de los clientes que se presenta en el día a día, por lo anterior, existe la necesidad de desarrollar un sistema de gestión ágil y preciso para los almacenes y para ello resulta fundamental tener una infraestructura tecnológica de diseño óptimo. El objetivo de este artículo es realizar una propuesta de mejora en el proceso de alistamiento para una empresa del sector farmacéutico y mostrar las ventajas del sistema de infraestructura IT en un operador 3PL, que ofrece servicios de almacenamiento y distribución a su cliente principal por sus exigencias de calidad. En donde se trabaja con un sistema de información en línea desde el cliente, sistema ERP (SAP) sistema integral por parte del cliente, en el cual se necesita que conjuntamente dos sistemas puedan trabajar. Para esto se inició un levantamiento de la información de requerimientos analizando el proceso de alistamiento, para aplicar un sistema de administración de inventarios (WMS), en donde se platean lo pasos para aplicar el proyecto, examinando cual es el mejor WMS para el centro de distribución. Para buscar mejorar cada uno de los procesos del centro distribución como; recepción, entrada en stock, gestión de inventario, gestión de pedidos, picking, packing, despacho etc..; optimizando tiempos y costos dentro las operaciones; y buscar optimizar el proceso de alistamientos. Los sistemas WMS se han convertido en una herramienta fundamental, en la logística para administrar todo lo recursos de los centro de distribución; cumpliendo con la normas de calidad, y mejorando a la vez los procesos de llegada, salida, visibilidad del inventario por medio de procesos más eficiente de trazabilidad. Today's challenge in the day to achieve greater efficiency in logistics operations and improve response times to customers that occur on a daily basis, therefore, there is a need to develop a management system. This is a fundamental work for the optimal design. The objective of this article is to make a proposal for improvement in the process of enlistment for a company in the pharmaceutical sector and show the advantages of the IT infrastructure system in a 3PL operator, which offers storage and distribution services to its main client for its requirements quality. Where you work with an online information system from the customer, ERP system (SAP) integral system by the client, in which it is necessary that together two systems can work. For this, a survey of the requirements information was started analyzing the enlistment process, to apply an inventory management system (WMS), where the steps to apply the project are plated, examining which is the best WMS, for the center of distribution. The subject of this paper's possible directions for WMS improvements and possible ways of implementations. One frequently applied improvement method is the development of supplementary applications. These implementation methods are also discussed. Implementation of the process worked out will be also presented by providing a solution for a specific company problem., Lagerverwaltungssysteme (WMS) und Enterprise-Resource-Planning-Systeme (ERP) erfüllen nicht in allen Fällen die Wünsche des Anwenders. Häufig bleibt eine Reihe von Optimierungsmöglichkeiten, wie u. a. verbessertes Materialhandling oder Funktionen zur Systemauswertung ungenutzt. Fokus dieser Veröffentlich sind mögliche Optimierungsansätze eines WMS sowie Möglichkeiten ihrer Implementierung. Eine häufig angewandte Optimierungsmethode ist die Entwicklung ergänzender Applikationen. Auch diese Implementierungsmethode wird in der Veröffentlichung behandelt. The main goal of this thesis is a solution proposal of MS Dynamics AX2012 for mobile device. Output is in form of an analysis. Base on it could be the solution implemented. Only selected warehouse processes are concerned with which brings the mobile device usage higher effectiveness. Partial goal is actual warehouse processes clarification on standard MS Dynamics AX2012 application. Their reality underscores business processes explanation in parallel. First step to reach the goals mentioned is available technologies and possibilities exploration. Warehouse and its processes are studied base on resources available and own experience from given branch. The same method is used for getting information about software, data collecting and hardware. Warehouse processes in MS Dynamics AX2012 description is based on Microsoft training materials and own professional experience. Analytical mobile application solution proposal is based on analysis of information studied within this thesis and own experience with suggesting similar modifications. Added value is model, how can be standard enterprise resource planning system customized for usage on mobile devices. Plus is also demonstration of warehouse processes on the most current version of chosen application in line with real business processes. Point is not only an IT solution with no relation to real usage. Contribution to completeness is comparing other SW types and HW selection. Rational structure of document leads the getting information to reach the goal. Theoretical part deals with general warehouse logistics and a possibility of related technologies usage. In the analytical part are ideas from theoretical part applied when processes on standard version of MS Dynamics AX2012 are described. Last and the most fundamental part, is dedicated for solution proposal of mobile version application.

Sledljivost dobiva vsak dan na večjem pomenu in za podjetje predstavlja tudi eno izmed ključnih konkurenčnih prednosti. Tega se zavedajo tudi v podjetju Kozmetika Afrodita d. o. o. Za učinkovitejše zagotavljanje sledljivosti so logistične procese v podjetju podprli z informacijskim sistemom WMS - Elogis, ki je integriran s PIS — Largo. WMS je v logističnem poslovanju namenjen podpori primarnih logističnih procesov v podjetju. Z omenjenim poslovnim informacijskim sistemom so podprti vsi procesi, ki se odvijajo v sklopu nabavne in notranje logistike. Eden izmed glavnih ciljev v diplomskem delu je bil prav tako , da prikažemo, kako se ti procesi v podjetju odvijajo in izvajajo. Z uvedbo informacijske podpore omenjenim logističnim procesom so v podjetju dosegli zmanjšanje napak na tako rečen minimum, saj so napake, ki bi bile povezane s samim človeškim faktorjem, na ta način izključne. V podjetju se zavedajo, da je stanje vedno mogoče izboljšati. V sklepu smo navedli, kje vidimo za podjetje izzive in možnosti izboljšav. Za izvajanje popolne sledljivosti je potrebno poskrbeti že pri samem vstopu surovin s strani dobavitelja v podjetje. Samo zaokrožitev celotne naloge pa predstavlja poročilo o sledljivosti, na podlagi katerega lahko pojasnimo, kaj je sploh pomen sledljivosti, komu služi in kako poteka. Traceability receives each day on increasing importance, and for the the company means also one of the key competitive advantages. In the comapny Kozmetika Afrodita ltd. realize that. In order to ensure better traceability in company, they support logistics processes with information system called WMS - Elogis, which is integrated with the PIS – Largo. WMS in the logistics business take care for supporting the primary logistics processes within the company. With these business information system are supported all the processes which taking place in the context of acquisition and internal logistics. One of the main goals of this thesis was also to show how those processes take place in the company and out. With the introduction of the above information support logistic processes in the company reached, reducing errors on the minimum, since the errors were related to the very human factor in this exclusive way. In the company is aware that the situation is still place for improvement. In conclusion, we highlight where we see for company challenges and possibilities for improvement. To provide full traceability we have to take care in the entrance when the raw material of supplier come in the company. Task is rounded with a report of traceability, from which we can explain what the traceability means, to who serves and how it is conducted.
