Halk kültürü ve edebi metinleri, çağdaş edebiyatımız için esin kaynağı olmaktadır. Özellikle Çukurova; mitleri, halk hikâyeleri, masalları ve zengin yerel dili ile çağdaş edebiyatımızda yazarların anlatımlarını sağlamlaştırmada başvurdukları önemli birer kaynak olarak görülmektedir. Çukurovalı bir yazar olan Çetin Yiğenoğlu da eserlerinde, bu coğrafyanın kültürel ögelerinden bolca yararlanmıştır. Özellikle `Haydar'ı Öldürmek` romanında mitolojik kaynaklardan beslenerek kendi destansı romanını yazmıştır. Halk bilimsel ögeler yoğun bir biçimde kullanılmış, yerel dil doğal bir anlatı atmosferi yaratmıştır.Hem halk bilimini hem de çağdaş edebiyatı kapsayan bu çalışmada, halk bilimi disiplinine bağlı kalınarak inceleme yapılmıştır. Ancak çağdaş edebiyat verimlerinden de yararlanılmıştır.Çalışma dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır:Birinci bölümde, Çetin Yiğenoğlu'nun yaşamı, gazeteci kimliği, roman ve öykü yazarlığı, genel anlamda maddi manevi kültür unsurlarını romanında kullanış biçimi ve amaçları hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.İkinci bölümde, romanın özetine yer verilerek genel bilgiler aktarılmıştır.Üçüncü bölümde `Haydar'ı Öldürmek` romanındaki halk kültürü unsurları belirlenerek halk edebiyatı unsurlarından masal, halk hikâyesi, efsane, kalıp sözler, yerel ve arkaik sözcükler, mitolojik unsurlar gibi motifler örneklenmiştir.Dördüncü bölümde, romandaki halk bilimsel ögeler (inanışlar, geleneksel yaşam biçimi, geçim kaynakları, dinsel ritüeller vb.) ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir.vAnadolu kültürünün zengin kaynaklarının edebiyatımızı nasıl etkilediğini göstermek, Çetin Yiğenoğlu'nun unutulmaya yüz tutmuş pek çok yerel sözcüğü yeniden dilimize taşımasına dikkat çekmek çalışmanın temel hedefini oluşturmaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Çetin Yiğenoğlu, Haydar'ı Öldürmek, Çukurova halk kültürü, mitoloji, halk hikâyeleri, masallar Folk culture and literary texts have been a source of inspiration for our contemporary literature. Particularly Çukurova is seen as an important source that the authors have consulted to reinforce their narration with its myths, folktales, tales and rich local languages in our contemporary literature. Çetin Yiğenoğlu, a writer from Çukurova, has largely benefited from the cultural elements of this region as well. Especially in his novel `Haydar'ı Öldürmek (Killing Haydar)`, he wrote his own epic novel being nourished by the mythological sources. Folkloric elements have been used successfully and local language has created a natural narrative atmosphere.In this study covering both folklore and contemporary literature, examination has been made by adhering to the discipline of folklore. However, it has also been benefited from the yields of contemporary literature. The study consists of four main sections:In the first section, it was informed about the life of Çetin Yiğenoğlu, his journalist and activist identity, his authorship of novel and short story, the way he use the material and moral cultural elements in his novel and its purposes in general terms.In the second section, short summary of the novel and general information were narrated.In the third section, being determined the elements of folk culture in the novel of Haydar'ı Öldürmek (Killing Haydar), some motifs of folk literature elements were sampled such as tales, folk tales, myths, mold lyrics, local and archaic words, mythological elements.In the fourth section, some information was given about the folkloric elements in the novel such as beliefs, traditional way of life, livelihoods, religious rituals etc.viiTo show how rich sources of Anatolian culture has affected our literature and to draw attention to Çetin Yiğenoğlu's retransmission of many local words have tended to be forgotten in our language constitute the main goal of the study.Key Words: Çetin Yiğenoğlu, Haydar'ı Öldürmek, Çukurova folk culture, mythology, folktales, tales. 249

Folktales serve a descriptive, as well as prescriptive role, by consistently depicting societal and cultural norms. Sexist portrayals sanction the marginality of Bukusu women, particularly when these reflect prevailing gender roles and expectations. However, contests over identity and representation are as ancient as (unwritten) history. The analysis of tales From Our Mothers’ Hearths: Bukusu Folktales and Proverbs, offers a wide range of role models for women; some of which depict female agency in exacting circumstances (Florence, N., 2005. Further, females as narrators, protagonists, and the primary audience act as both curator and creators of culture.
