The general feature of development after year 1989 in the Czech Republic is a gradual decrease in mining by 30-40% for most raw materials. The period of mining in years 1990 - 1994 is interesting because decrease in mining was only a consequence of changes in socio-economic conditions in the Czech Republic. Further fluctuations in mining after 1994 until today, when data for mining of studied raw materials are available, ie. year 2014 are mainly the result of market forces on the national and world market. This article responds to this phenomenon, and aims to determine the dependency of construction mineral resources on external conditions, which are selected basic macroeconomic indicators (gross domestic product and inflation rate), but also indicators that do not belong among classical macroeconomic variables (foreign trade and others).
