The article presents the study on the effect of seedling age and inoculum density on the severity of clubroot and seed yield in canola Brassica napus. Clubroot, caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae, has threatened canola production in western Canada. The study showed that increased inoculum density resulted in higher clubroot severity and decrease in plant height and seed yield. Higher clubroot severity, shorter plants and lower yield were noted with inoculation of young seedlings.
