The paper illustrates the use of antirsflecting layers for coating solar cell surface in order to improve the conversion efficiency. These coatings may be in single or multilayer. Mathematical analysis are given to determine the reflection losses in both cases. Through numerical application, by the use of computer programming, and regarding the economical point of view a comparison is made between the conversion efficiency for solar cells with and without antireflection coatings.

The ultimate function of the data processor for power system control is to obtain reliable data of the system's state and parameters. Existing techniques of data processing assumed that the transformer taps in the system are known. However, there are many uncertainties associated with an actual system. Among these uncertainties could be the actual positions of transformer taps. Therefore, modified algorithms with various methods and cases, using the weighted least squares approach and assuming no knowledge of the transformer tap positions, are presented and implemented in this paper Digital simulations have been performed and the results are presented.

This paper presents three efficient and reliable algorithms for the automatic recognition of printed Arabic text. The first algorithm is based on mathematical features, the second uses structural and mathematical features, while the third uses structural features. The performance of each algorithm is experimentally tested under different conditions. Comparisons between the results are also made.

Graphical rep resentations and its use in data bases have come into p lay due to the recent progress in high resolution graphics, In this pap er the problem of designing and implementation of an Image Database System (IDBS) for El-Mansoura University 15 studied. The database contains geograp hical information about the university camp us and information about the academic staff members in different faculties. A general formulation of the problem is introduced and implemented in an algorithmic form. The different types of data are managed in a suitable manner for visual representation. The concept of preconstructed screens is introduced and used extensively in the problem solution. A test session is provided to introduce the performance of different aspects of the developed system.

This paper introduces a Visual Intelligent Computer Aided Instruction (VICAI) System It consists of three subsystems, the first concerns with the personal computer hardware and architecture (80386SX processor). The second subsystem is focused on its peripherals. While the third subsystem gives advices for repairing any troubleshooting that might occurs in personal computer systems. This is done through a dialogue between the system and the user. For surface and deep representation of knowledge base. The system is designed using both rules and frames. Also, the system is highly use visual display and color graphics which are likely accepted by the user.

A timed series of video images (dynamic study) may be taken for a human organ under examination, after f.v. injection of contrast material. The images are digitized and stored as matrices of 512 x 512 pixels, Numerical data for each pixel within the sequence reflects then the temporal changes of the dye concentration in the tissue represented by that pixel according to a well-known X-ray attenuation logarithmic relation. A structured algorithm is developed to perform mathematical analysis and manipulation for those "functional images" on a pixel-by-pixel basis with the aim of deriving out some useful time-density variables and curves. The algorithm is app lied to 38 nor mal individuals to study their renal function and the results proved to be of a remarkable diagnostic value.
