Objective To evaluate the methodological rigor of radiomics-based studies using noninvasive imaging in ovarian setting. Methods Multiple medical literature archives (PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus) were searched to retrieve original studies focused on computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound (US), or positron emission tomography (PET) radiomics for ovarian disorders’ assessment. Two researchers in consensus evaluated each investigation using the radiomics quality score (RQS). Subgroup analyses were performed to assess whether the total RQS varied according to first author category, study aim and topic, imaging modality, and journal quartile. Results From a total of 531 items, 63 investigations were finally included in the analysis. The studies were greatly focused (94%) on the field of oncology, with CT representing the most used imaging technique (41%). Overall, the papers achieved a median total RQS 6 (IQR, −0.5 to 11), corresponding to a percentage of 16.7% of the maximum score (IQR, 0–30.6%). The scoring was low especially due to the lack of prospective design and formal validation of the results. At subgroup analysis, the 4 studies not focused on oncological topic showed significantly lower quality scores than the others. Conclusions The overall methodological rigor of radiomics studies in the ovarian field is still not ideal, limiting the reproducibility of results and potential translation to clinical setting. More efforts towards a standardized methodology in the workflow are needed to allow radiomics to become a viable tool for clinical decision-making. Rumex acetosella L. (sorrel) is a plant belonging to the Polygonaceous family and is a species that grows naturally across Turkey. In this study, the characterization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) obtained from the Rumex acetocella L. (RA) plant using the green synthesis method was performed and their antimicrobial activities were investigated. AgNPs were successfully synthesized in the first stage of the study using plant extract taken from plant samples collected from the natural growing environment. Characterization of synthesized AgNPs was performed using appropriate analytical methods (UV-vis, FT-IR, XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM, Zeta Potential and Zeta Sizer). According to the analysis results, it was determined that AgNPs had a maximum absorbance at 476 nm wavelength, a pentagonal, hexagonal, and spherical appearance, a size of 29.16 nm, and a zeta potential of -9.88 mV. The antimicrobial activities of AgNPs were tested using the microdilution technique, in which Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) values were determined on gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli bacteria and Candida albicans fungus. It showed a very strong antimicrobial effect on C. albicans, S. aureus and P. aeruginosa. Consequently, AgNPs had stronger antimicrobial activity at low concentrations and when compared to commercial antibiotics.

Introduction and purpose Depression is the most common mental disorder, but the exact mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of depression remain unknown. Abundant research evidence suggests that changes in the gut microbiota play a key role in the pathophysiology of depression through the brain-gut-microbiota axis. The aim of this study was to present the current state of knowledge on the role of gut microbiota in pathogenesis and treatment of depression and discuss its potential as a therapeutic target for depression A brief description of the state of knowledge The digestive tract and the processes which are set in it as well as the inhabitting microorganisms have a significant impact on our mental health and mood. The scientific research repeatidly confirm a strict relationship between the digestive and nervous systems. A microbiome-based approach is becoming increasingly prevalent in the understanding and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, especially depression. Antidepressants which are today the first-line therapy in the treatment of this disease are based inter alia on the antimicrobial and immunomodulatory mechanism of action. Conclusion Immune cells which are settled in the intestines affect not only our physical health but also the mental one. Due to the relationship between depression and the gut microbiota, we have many treatment options that involve direct modification of the composition of the microbiome which include prebiotics, probiotics (psychobiotics) and faecal microbiome transplantation.

Na ilość spożywanej kawy przez konsumentów ma wpływ przede wszystkim jej niepowtarzalny, dość głęboki smak i delikatny aromat, w którym wyczuwalne są nuty korzenne lub czekoladowe oraz jej właściwości wynikające z zawartości kofeiny i polifenoli. Doniesienia naukowe wskazują, że umiarkowana konsumpcja kawy może być częścią zdrowej diety i aktywnego trybu życia, co wiąże się z szeregiem pożądanych zjawisk fizjologicznych w tym sprawności psychicznej i fizycznej. Artykuły naukowe przedstawiają szerokie spektrum pozytywnego wpływu cennych związków zawartych w tym napoju na organizm człowieka, m.in. zmniejszenie śmiertelnościz powodu chorób sercowo-naczyniowych, cukrzycy typu 2, jak również nowotworów czy też obniżeniu ryzyka zachorowalności na chorobę Parkinsona i Alzheimera. Jej dobroczynne właściwości wykorzystywane są również w kosmeteologii.

Celem pracy było porównanie jakości sensorycznej (intensywności i typowości zapachu, barwy, smaku) świeżych oraz suszonych roślin przyprawowych. Materiałem badawczym były przygotowane samodzielnie w pracowni oraz zakupione w sklepach internetowych i w sklepach detalicznych przyprawy roślinne: szczypiorek, koper, bazylia, natka pietruszki. Ocenę sensoryczną wykonano w pracowni, która spełnia warunki określone w normie PN-EN ISO 8589:2010. Do badań wytypowano dziesięcioosobowy zespół oceniający o sprawdzonej, odpowiednio wysokiej wrażliwości sensorycznej, zgodnie z wymogami normy PN-ISO 8586-2:1996. Dokonano ocenyw zakresie intensywności (aromatyczności) i typowości zapachu, intensywności zielonej barwy oraz aromatyczności (wyrazistości) smaku. Największą intensywnością i typowością zapachu, barwą i smakiem charakteryzowały się próbki świeżych roślin przyprawowych. Metody suszenia miały istotny wpływ na intensywność i typowość zapachu, intensywność barwy zielonej i intensywność smaku ocenianych suszy.

Introduction and Aim: Harnessing traditional knowledge of medicinal plants is important for the betterment of mankind. We must safeguard traditional knowledge from misuse by miscreants living in modern societies and knowledge must be available in the public domain for use in drug designing in the healthcare system. Since the beginning of recorded history, Indians have used plants as a source of medicine, and their cultural past is incredibly rich. This study was conducted to evaluate the oxidative stress-induced DNA damage prevention and antioxidant potential of Semecarpus kurzii found in the Bay Islands. Materials and Methods: The scavenging of superoxide, hydroxyl radicals, nitric oxide (NO), 2,2-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl hydrate (DPPH) radicals, ferric reducing power (FRAP), and lipid peroxidation inhibition activity were tested to determine antioxidant activity. DNA damage inhibition test was used to evaluate the protection against oxidative DNA damage. Results: The S. kurzii extract showed dose-dependent scavenging of DPPH, superoxide anion, nitric oxide, hydroxyl radical and reducing power evaluated by comparing with standard antioxidants (ascorbic acid, alpha-tocopherol and BHT). However, the nitric oxide scavenging (IC50 =186.47) and superoxide scavenging (IC50 = 678.32) was more than that of DPPH (IC50 =28.03) and Hydroxyl radical (IC50 =89.10) scavenging capacity. In addition, S. kurzii extract and ascorbic acid showed lipid peroxidation inhibition activity. The extract also exhibited DNA protection which was confirmed by the DNA damage inhibition assay. Conclusion: Our results corroborated that, the methanolic extract of S. kurzii bark has substantial antioxidant activity and DNA damage inhibition. The potential antioxidant and oxidative DNA damage preventive activity could be due to the existence of polyphenolic compounds in the S. kurzii bark.

Стаття присвячена дослідженню та класифікації фігур експресивного синтаксису, що функціонують у мові поетичних творів Василя Симоненка. Встановлено роль засобів експресивного синтаксису в поетичному мовленні В. Симоненка, покласифіковано виявлені фігури за типами, розкрито причини їх використання та роль у мовотворчості поета, що забезпечує глибше зрозуміння особливостей образного мовомислення митця зокрема та літературних процесів шістдесятих років ХХ століття загалом. З’ясовано, що експресивні фігури поетичних текстів В. Симоненка репрезентують широкий спектр емоційно-психологічних реакцій і станів ліричного героя, аксіологічних вимірів фрагментів поетичної картини світу автора. Аналіз експресивних фігур уможливлює глибше розуміння світоглядної позиції автора-шістдесятника поетичних текстів, індивідуально-авторського бачення й специфічного оцінювання довкілля крізь призму додаткових, виразно емотивно-оцінних, семантичних планів лексем і фразем та їх комбінацій. Експресивність мовотворчості Василя Симоненка можна простежити фактично на всіх рівнях мовної системи, проте використання фігур експресивного синтаксису (явищ виразно самобутніх) належить до домінантних рис його ідіостилю. Фігури експресивного синтаксису увиразнюють емоційно-психологічні реакції та стани ліричного героя, посилюють аксіологічні параметри лексем і фразем у складі фігур, засобів експресивного синтаксису поезій В. Симоненка. Виявлено низку домінантних функцій фігур експресивного синтаксису в поезіях В. Симоненка: звертання акцентують увагу на особі, певному предметові чи явищі, репрезентують емоційні стани ліричного героя, увиразнюють мовлення поезій; вставні конструкції передають ставлення автора до описуваного, зображуваного; вставлені конструкції несуть додаткові повідомлення, зауваження, доповнення; еквіваленти речень найчастіше виконують спонукальну, заперечну та емоційно-оцінну функції; ампліфікація використана для посилення напруженості повідомлення, для надання контексту перелічувальної інтонації; градація посилює напруженість повідомлення; номінативні речення надають чіткості та зрозумілості мовленому, привертають увагу до певного об’єкта; еліпсис ужитий із метою досягнення напруження й стислості повідомлення; парцеляція посилює експресивність поетичних текстів, надає їм само бутніх рис; асиндетон залучає читача до участі в подіях, уможливлює наявність домислів, збагачення змісту описуваних фрагментів; замовчування посилює емоційність та напруженість мовлення.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, 5 farklı eğe sisteminin alt çene azı dişlerinde tekralayan kök kanal tedavisi uygulaması sırasında kök kanallarından taşan doku ve dolgu materyali miktarları üzerindeki etkilerini karşılaştırarak değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmamızda 80 adet çekilmiş alt çene büyükazı dişine ait mezial kökler kullanıldı. Köklerin çalışma uzunluğu belirlenmesinin ardından şekillendirme prosedürü ProTaper Universal F2 nolu eğe ile tamamlandıktan sonra kanallar lateral kondenzasyon ile dolduruldu. Kanal tedavisi yenileme işleminde ProTaper Next, TF Adaptive, Endoart, WaveOne Gold ve ProTaper Universal Retreatment eğeleriyle olacak şekilde rastgele beş gruba ayrılarak kanal sökümü yapıldı. Taşan debris miktarı boş ağırlığı önceden ölçülmüş olan Eppendorf tüplerinde biriktirildi. Taşan debris miktarı tüm işlemler sonrası ölçüldü. Bulgular: Her deney gruplarının tamamında kök dışına madde çıkışı gözlendi. İstatistiksel analiz sonucunda ProTaper Next ve ProTaper Universal Retreatment anlamlı olarak TF Adaptive daha az taşkınlığa neden olduğu tespit edildi (p0,05). Tüm gruplar incelendiğinde en fazla materyal taşkınlığı WaveOne Gold grubunda görüldü. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildiğinde, yeni üretilen bu eğe sistemi için, güncel ve yaygın olarak kullanılan eğeler ile elde edilen bulgular ile karşılaştırıldığında umut verici bir sonuç olarak değerlendirilebilir. Ancak, bu sistemin klinik performansının değerlendirilmesi için çok sayıda farklı araştırmaya ihtiyaç vardır.

Cyclotricium origanifolium is a plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family and is a species that grows in the Western and Southern Anatolian regions of Turkey. In our study, the antimicrobial activities of silver nanoparticles (AgNP) were investigated through Cyclotricium origanifolium plant extract. Characterization processes of the obtained AgNPs, suitable spectral analysis methods; Uv-Vis was determined by FT-IR, SEM-EDX, XRD. According to the results of the analysis, it was determined that the AgNPs were spherical in shape and had an average diameter of 17.60 nm. The antimicrobial effect of AgNPs was determined by the minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) method. Gram positive as test microorganisms; Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and gram negative; Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria, and Candida albicans fungal pathogen species were used. The suppression of microorganism growth was investigated by comparing the efficacy of standard antibiotics used in our study with AgNPs produced by the green synthesis method. It has been observed that the obtained AgNPs have a very strong effect on gram-positive B. subtilis and gram-negative E. coli bacteria, and are more effective against C. albicans than the normal antifungal drug. It was determined that the antimicrobial activity of AgNPs produced from C. origanifolium L. plants showed a stronger effect than standard antibiotics.

Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ) tarafından 2020 yılında “Doğum Bakım Rehberi”, her gebe kadının doğum deneyimini iyileştirmek ve DSÖ intrapartum bakım önerilerinin etkili bir şekilde uygulanmasını kolaylaştırarak gebe kadınların ve bebeklerinin sağlık ve iyilik halini sağlamaya yardımcı olmak için geliştirilmiştir. DSÖ, tavsiyelerinin etkili bir şekilde uygulanmasını kolaylaştırmak için, önceki partografın tasarımını gözden geçirmiş ve revize etmiştir. Doğum Bakım Rehberi adı verilen revize edilmiş olan bu partograf, sağlık personelinin normallikten herhangi bir sapmayı tespit etmek için düzenli değerlendirmeler yoluyla doğum sırasında gebe kadınların ve bebeklerinin refahını izlemesi için tasarlanmıştır. Araç, sağlık hizmeti sunucuları ve gebe kadınlar tarafından ortak karar alma sürecini teşvik etmeyi ve kadın merkezli bakımı teşvik etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Doğum Bakım Rehberi, güvenliği sağlamaya, gereksiz müdahalelerden kaçınmaya ve destekleyici bakım sağlamaya özel bir vurgu yaparak, kaliteli kanıta dayalı bakım sağlamak için bir kaynak olarak tasarlanmıştır.

It is one of the important qualifications of teachers to know contemporary instructional technologies and to use them in their lessons. However, the studies have concluded that teachers' use of technological tools and equipment is inadequate and their level of using materials is generally not at a desirable level. In this context, the aim of this study is to determine the level of Technological Pedagogical content knowledge of preservice mathematics teachers in the context of technology-supported activities they prepared. The study was conducted with 13 preservice secondary school mathematics teachers studying at a state university. Preservice teachers were given a training lasting 8 weeks. After the training, they were asked to prepare technology-supported activities including concept cartoon (Powtoon, Canva), concept map (Bubbl.us, Luchidchart), interactive worksheet (Teachermade), gamification applications (Puzzlemaker, Wordwall, Matific, ClassDojo) and digital stories (Pixton, Powtoon, StoryboardThat, Storyjumper). The activities they prepared were analyzed by document analysis method with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge [TPACK] rubric developed by Lyublinskaya and Tournaki (2012) and preservice teachers' TPACK levels were evaluated in terms of purpose knowledge, instructional knowledge, curriculum knowledge and strategy knowledge components. The study has revealed that preservice teachers were able to reach the highest level of discovery, curriculum knowledge was the most successful component and they showed the lowest success in the strategy knowledge component. In this context, we suggest that course content that includes such activity design tasks should be prepared and included in the teaching process for the development of preservice teachers' Technological Pedagogical content knowledge.

Rural settlements are settlements with relatively low population density where agriculture and animal husbandry activities are carried out or come to the fore, and the character of the settlement can be explained in the light of human-environment-culture relations. Rural residences and additions create the characteristic texture of rural settlements. Rural dwellings can be defined as spaces that contain not only a sheltered shell, but also add-ons with storage and production volumes according to the economic activity of the owner and the needs of the region. In order to sustain life in rural settlements, houses, unlike the residences in central settlements, meet the needs of the life of the region and contain many additions. In order to ensure the continuity of life in the countryside, the necessity of semi-open or fully closed volumes for different needs, as well as the storage areas necessary for economic activities such as animal husbandry and agriculture, are determinant on rural housing add-ons. The importance of fuel storage areas is better understood as the heating requirement in the coops and ovens in the garden or in rural houses in Anatolia is mostly met by stoves. While analyzing rural residences and rural settlements created by these dwellings, evaluating rural dwellings not only over closed areas where activities such as sleeping and sheltering at night, but also with open areas with add-ons, due to the rural life characteristics, It is also important in terms of determining the conditions and evaluating the projects to be proposed for the said regions within this scope. In this study, within the scope of the master's thesis study titled "A Research on Rural Houses and Their Extensions: The Example of Tongurlar Village", analysis studies were carried out on the add-on types and building materials of the houses in Tongurlar Village, and without considering the settlement characteristics and the need for add-ons, The types of options that determine the housing morphology in accordance with the needs of rural life are discussed.

Introduction: Various psychotherapies have been applied to individuals who have been subjected to torture and severe human rights and to patients with PTSD, however, studies assessing the effectiveness of such therapies are limited. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is said to be used frequently in practice for these patient groups. Yet, there are scarcely any studies assessing its efficacy. In this study, we aim to assess the effectiveness of psychoanalytic psychotherapy in patients with PTSD associated with torture and severe human rights violations. Additionally, the study seeks to monitor the continuity of therapy within the first year and its relationship with overall clinical change. Methods: 70 patients with PTSD related to torture and severe human rights violations who applied to the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey were given psychoanalytic psychotherapy. CGI-S and CGI-I scales were applied to the patients (in Months 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12); and the patients' continuity of therapy and the changes in their recovery during the one-year psychotherapy period were assessed. Results: 38 (54.3%) of the patients were female. Their mean age was 37.7 years (SD = 12.25), while their mean baseline CGI-S score was 4.67. Bu çalışmada, İzmir ili Buca ilçesinde belirlenen bir yol ağına ait tasarım ve işletme özelliklerine ilişkin sorunların trafik güvenliği üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışma arazi gözlemleri ve bu gözlemlerden elde edilen bilgiler ışığında yapılan kaza analizlerini içermektedir. Arazi gözlemleri ile tespit edilen sorunlar 12 ana başlık altında toplanmış ve bu sorunların çalışma bölgesinde oluşan trafik kazaları ve araç gecikmeleri üzerindeki ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Değerlendirmeye alınan süre içerisinde çalışma alanında bulunan yollarda 180 adet kaza meydana gelmiş, bu kazalarının %43,3’ünün yandan çarpma, %28,3’ünün ise yayaya çarpma şeklinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kaza türleri ile ilişkili bulunan sorunlar tespit edilerek sorunların çözümüne yönelik yol güvenliğini artıran ve trafik koşullarını iyileştiren düzenlemeler önerilmiştir.

Objective: Diaphragm paralysis is a well-known complication following surgery for CHDs, which increases morbidity, mortality, and length of hospital stay as well as costs. Herein, we present our experience with diaphragm plication following paralysis of the phrenic nerve encountered after paediatric cardiac surgery. Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 23 diaphragm plications in 20 patients who underwent paediatric cardiac surgery between January 2012 and January 2022. The patients were carefully selected based on aetiology and a combination of clinical manifestation and chest imaging characteristics including chest X-ray, ultrasonography, and fluoroscopy. Results: Twenty-three successful plications were performed in 20 patients (15 males and 5 females) out of a total of 1938 operations performed in our centre. Mean age and body weight were 18.2 ± 17.1 months and 8.3 ± 3.7 kg, respectively. The period between the cardiac surgery and diaphragmatic plication was 18.7 ± 15.1 days. The highest incidence of diaphragm paralysis was encountered in systemic to pulmonary artery shunt patients with 7 out of 152 patients (4.6%). Any mortality was not encountered during a mean follow-up period of 4.3 ± 2.6 years. Conclusions: Early results of plication of the diaphragm following phrenic nerve palsy in symptomatic patients who underwent paediatric cardiac surgery are encouraging. Evaluation of the diaphragmatic function should be a routine part of post-operative echocardiography. Diaphragm paralysis may be a consequence of dissection, contusion, stretching, and thermal injury both in terms of hypothermia and hyperthermia.

Ecological and geochemical indicators have been widely accepted as tools with the potential for rapid risk assessment of metal contamination of bottom sediments. In this study, we propose a selection of such indicators to characterize the potential ecological risks stemming from metal contamination of the bottom sediments of the Chechło reservoir (S Poland). The Chechło reservoir is located in an area formerly occupied by zinc and lead ore mining and processing industry. High amounts of metals, especially zinc (39.37–4772.00 mg/kg d.m.), cadmium (0.37–21.13 mg/kg d.m.) and lead (4.50–434.49 mg/kg d.m.) have been found in the bottom sediments. Both geochemical (CD – contamination degree) and ecological indices (mean PECQ) were indicative of bottom sediment contamination and their potential toxicity to living organisms. Most of the bottom sediment samples (71%) examined were toxic for Heterocypris incongruens, while only 9% of the samples were toxic to Sinapis alba. However, no significant correlations between the metal content and the response of the test organisms were observed. Correlation and principal component analyses (PCA) showed that silt and clay fractions were the key factors influencing the metal content in the sediments. Our study makes a contribution to building evidence of the need to integrate several indices for the assessment of environmental risks related to the presence of metals in bottom sediments rather than relying on a single one.

Laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair is considered a common and safe procedure. Here, we present the case of a 31-year-old male with right indirect inguinal hernia and no medical history. The patient underwent laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair and the operation was completed successfully. During extubation, subcutaneous emphysema was noted at the neck, chest, and above the nipples. Tracheal injury was excluded by the anaesthesiologists and otorhinolaryngologists. On arterial blood gas, the patient's oxygen saturation was 95% with nasal oxygen support. The patient was followed-up closely in the general surgery inpatient clinic. Computed tomography was performed, on which bilateral pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum were noted. Conservative management was planned and the patient was discharged on the fourth postoperative day. Laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair is considered a routinely applied safe procedure, however, appropriate care should be taken to avoid possible complications. BACKGROUND: There are conflicting results in studies investigating the effects of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on the prognosis of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) during or outside of usual hospital working hours. While some researchers have reported higher mortality rates in STEMI patients admitted outside of working hours, others did not find a statistically significant difference. OBJECTIVES: Investigate the short-term endpoints and long-term outcomes of STEMI patients by time of admission. DESIGN: Retrospective SETTING: Tertiary percutaneous coronary intervention center. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Patients were grouped by admission, which consisted of four intervals: 06:00 to MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Clinical data and mortality SAMPLE SIZE: 735 patients; median (IQR) age 62 (22) years; 215 (29.3%) women. RESULTS: Patients admitted at night were 1.37 times more likely to experience pulmonary edema than patients whose symptoms started in the daytime ( P =.012); 32.9% of the patients whose symptoms started at night presented with Killip class II-IV, while during the daytime, 21.4% presented with Killip class II-IV ( P =.001). Among the patients, the most common was inferior STEMI (38.6%). However, no-reflow was significantly higher during the daytime compared to the nighttime ( P =.12). The risk of the cardiac arrest on admission was 1.2 times higher in patients admitted at night ( P =.034). Neither time interval of admission nor several other variables had an effect on clinical outcome or mortality. CONCLUSIONS: While patients admitted at night presented with pulmonary edema and cardiogenic shock more frequently, no reflow was observed during the day after the procedure. Although patients admitted at night with STEMI presented with worse clinical conditions, similar results were observed between the groups in clinical outcomes. LIMITATIONS: More “real world” results might have been obtained if the study had replicated more typical referral conditions for PCI. CONFLICT OF INTEREST: None.

This study used a national cohort to characterize the impact of inter-hospital transfer status on outcomes following nonelective cholecystectomy for cholecystitis.Nonelective cholecystectomies were identified using the 2016-2019 National Inpatient Sample. Multivariable models adjusting for patient and hospital characteristics were utilized to assess outcomes of interest.Of an estimated 530,696 patients, 5.3% were transferred. Transferred patients were older, more often male, and more likely to report income in the 0Transfer status is associated with greater postoperative infection, but not mortality. Given that disparities may play a role in transfer decisions, more work must be done to identify transfer drivers and improve patient outcomes.

International audience; Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a non-Hodgkin lymphoma that remains incurable with the treatment options available today. In the present study, we have identified the dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), an essential enzyme for the de novo biosynthesis of pyrimidine-based nucleotides, to be overexpressed in MCL in comparison to healthy peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). In vitro inhibition of the DHODH activity using a newly developed DHODH inhibitor, namely (R)-HZ05, can induce MCL cell death in the nanomolar range independently than the P53 status of the investigated cell lines. Moreover, the combination of (R)-HZ05 with tyrosine kinase inhibitor shows the synergistic activity on cell death. Pre-clinical investigation on the efficacy of (R)-HZ05 shows that it can be prolonged animal lifespan similar to ibrutinib. (R)-HZ05 use in combination with tyrosine kinase inhibitor demonstrated a superior efficacy on tumor burden reduction and survival than either drug alone. We have demonstrated that the depletion of the pyrimidine nucleotide pool, using DHODH inhibitor, represents a new therapeutic strategy that may benefit MCL patients.

Congenital mitral stenosis is a broad-spectrum pathology in which blood flow to the left ventricle is obstructed both functionally and anatomically. Hammock mitral valve, also known as anomalous mitral arcade, is a rare congenital anomaly particularly in infants and children. Hammock mitral valve may not be suitable for repair regarding the advanced dysplastic mitral valve structure. Aortopulmonary window is an unusual cardiac anomaly which is defined as a communication between the main pulmonary artery and the ascending aorta. As a result of the excessive left-to-right shunt, early intervention and surgical closure deemed mandatory to avoid development of severe pulmonary hypertension and its consequences. All patients with an aortopulmonary window necessitates prompt repair immediately. In this brief report, mitral valve replacement with a mechanical valve and repair of aortopulmonary window with a Dacron patch were performed simultaneously in a 5-month-old patient with a hammock mitral valve and accompanying aortopulmonary window.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı kadınlarda menstrüel ağrı şiddetinin vücut farkındalığı, fiziksel aktivite düzeyi ve duyu organizasyonu üzerine etkisini incelemekti. Yöntem: Çalışmaya 18-30 yaş arası menstrüel ağrısı olan kadınlar dahil edildi. Bu noktadan hareketle, günümüzde, beklentilerin çeşitliliğine bağlı olarak, bilgi ve değer sistemlerinde yaşanan değişimlerin neticesinde yapılı çevrenin oluşturulması, giderek karmaşıklaşan bir tasarım sorunu haline gelmiştir. Mimarların geleneksel tasarım yaklaşımları kimi zaman bu tasarım sorunlarına çözüm bulmada yetersiz kalmakta, yeni tasarım yaklaşımlarına ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu sebeple, çalışmada mimari tasarım sürecinde, geleneksel düşünceye ek olarak; veri, belge, bilgi ve iletişim modelleri kullanılarak problemleri tanımlayacak ve karar verme sürecinin tamamlanmasına yardımcı olacak bulanık mantık tabanlı karar destek sistemleri incelenmiştir. Buna ek olarak bulanık mantık tabanlı karar destek sistemlerinin geleneksel yöntemler ile karşılaştırılması, avantajlarının ve dezavantajlarının tartışılması gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Verticillium wilt disease in cotton is a soil-borne disease that causes significant yield losses, and it is therefore important to identify disease-resistant genotypes. Current study was carried out in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dicle University (Diyarbakir) in the year 2020 to determine the tolerance levels of some cotton genotypes which contain different characteristics to wilt disease (Verticillium dahliae Kleb.). The experiment area has been naturally infected with Verticillium wilt pathogens. A total of 124 cotton genotypes, including four controls (DP-499, Edessa, ST-468, ES-1), were arranged in five blocks according to the Augmented Design. The indices of stem cross-section and the leaf-disease severity were found significant. The leaf-disease severity varied between 0.12-3.09 at 50-60 % at boll opening period, whilst stem cross-section values ranged between 0.36-2.30. Moreover, a positive correlation was found between the indices. In conclusion, G7, G12, G21, G22, G23, G41, G51, G55, and G101 were determined as tolerant genotypes to Verticillium wilt in terms of examining two parameters.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the energy usage and greenhouse gas emission in lavender production. The study has been conducted in 2022 in Center district of Kırklareli province in Turkey and covers the 2021-2022 production seasons. Agricultural inputs and outputs were calculated to calculate the energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in lavender production. According to the research results, the inputs are 5883.39 MJ ha-1 (59.30%) farmyard manure energy, 2425.51 MJ ha-1 (24.45%) diesel fuel energy, 732.02 MJ ha-1 (7.38%) chemical fertilizers energy, 421.89 MJ ha-1 (4.25%) machinery energy, 276.70 MJ ha-1 (2.79%) human labour energy, 97.31 MJ ha-1 (0.98%) transportation energy and 84.81 MJ ha-1 (0.85%), vermicompost energy, respectively. Total input and output energy were calculated as 9921.63 MJ ha-1 and 12859.77 MJ ha-1, respectively. Energy use efficiency (EUE), specific energy (SE), energy productivity (EP) and net energy (NE) were calculated as 1.30, 2.86 MJ kg-1, 0.35 kg MJ-1 and 2938.13 MJ ha-1, respectively. The total energy input can be classified as 27.24% direct, 72.76% indirect, 62.94% renewable and 37.06% non-renewable. GHG ratio value was calculated as 0.08 kg CO2-eqkg-1 in lavender production.

Background: The global burden of non-fatal diseases is greatly increased by skin problems. Children bear a disproportionately large portion of the burden of skin problems, which are also responsible for numerous visits to primary healthcare institutions. Objective: The goal of this study was to estimate the incidence of skin conditions in children and describe how they relate to different factors. Methods: This study was a prospective cross-sectional study conducted among 1722 patients at outpatient department (OPD) of Paediatrics in Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College Hospital, Noakhali, Bangladesh; from 1 April to 31 July 2022. Where 1040 Participants less than or equal to 15 years old and of both sexes who visited the hospital's Paediatrics department for Skin & Venereal diseases were included in this study. Result: A total of 1040 participants were recruited in this study, out of which 550 (52.9%) were boys and 490 (47.1%) were girls. 170 (16.3%) were aged between 0-5 years and followed by 410 (39.4%) were 6-10 years, 460 (44.2%) were 11-15 years. 620 (59.6%) were rural and 420 (40.4%) were urban. The majority of mothers, 484 (46.5%), were educated up to primary level. Most of the fathers, 502 (48.3%), studied up to secondary level. The majority of the participants, 263 (46.1%), had fungal infectious diseases whereas 178 (37.9%) of children had eczema, a non-infectious disease. Conclusion: The study comes to the conclusion that most prevalent type of skin illness identified in this study was fungal infection, followed by eczema and urticaria. Age, education level of parents, poor personal hygiene, history of prior skin disease, sharing of clothing and towels with other family members and socioeconomic position were the related factors that linked to skin disease in children.

Introduction: Fracture of the neck of the femur is one of the most common and difficult problems all over the world, for all ages. As the femur is the weight-bearing bone in the lower limbs, fracture of the neck femur creates severe problems like shortening, limping, and a painful unstable hip. The incidence of pediatric neck fractures is highest in children above the age of eleven. The most common cause is high-energy trauma such as motor vehicle accidents and falls from height, also osteogenesis imperfecta, and myelomeningocele. This study aimed to analyze the outcomes of closed reduction and internal fixation (CRIF) by the cannulated cancellous hip screw in the transcervical fracture neck of the femur in children. Methods: This prospective interventional study was conducted at the National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), Dhaka, from July 2011 to June 2013. A total of 16 patients were selected for this study as per inclusion criteria. All statistical analysis of different variables was analyzed according to the standard statistical method by using SPSS. Result: In this study, the age of the patients ranged from 5-18 years with an average age of 11.25 years. The majority of the patients (56.25%) belonged to the age group 10-14 years, followed by 31.25% in the age group 5-9 years, and the rest 12.50% in the 15-18 years age group. Out of 16 patients, 10 patients (62.50%) were male and 06 patients (37.50%) were female. In the present study, the anatomical reduction was achieved in 07 (43.75%), the acceptable reduction was achieved in 05 (31.25%), and the unacceptable reduction in 04 (25.0%). The average time interval between injury and operation was 7.3 days, out of 16 study cases, 10 cases operated within 7 days of which 9 were united (90.0%), and 6 cases were operated after 7 days, of which 4 (66.66%) were united. In this study, the efficiency of energy consumption and the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from the cultivation of sauceboat pepper were determined. The experiments and research data are based on the 2020 growing season and were conducted in the Karaisali district of Adana province, Turkey. The primary data used in this study, such as the financial system, labor efficiency, fuel consumption levels, weights of tools and machinery used in sauceboat pepper production, fertilizer, and seedling quantities, were obtained from existing calculations, previous studies, and various sources. The energy ratio, specific energy, energy productivity, and net energy in sauceboat pepper were calculated as 0.82, 0.98 MJ kg-1, 1.02 kg MJ-1, and -6845.51 MJ ha-1, respectively. In the case of the sauceboat peppers, the energy of the fuel oil had the highest share of the total energy input, 31.65%. It was followed by energy for planting seedlings, energy for fertilizer, water energy for irrigation, energy for human labour, energy for spraying, and energy for machinery, with 21.55%, 19.64%, 12.55%, 8.59%, 4.45%, and 1.87%, respectively. Total GHG emissions were estimated as 3703.54 kgCO2-eq ha-1 for sauceboat pepper highest-quality production portion in human labour (31.18%). Human labour was followed by diesel fuel consumption (25.79%), machine (0.08%), seedling planting (15.90%), nitrogen fertilizer (15.88%), phosphate fertilizer (4.09%), herbicides (3.68%), fungicides (1.93%), calcium consumption (0.09%), magnesium application (0.08%) and iron (0.52%). In addition, the GHG value for the production of sauceboat peppers was calculated to be 0.096 kgCO2-eq kg-1.

This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the village economy and the community's efforts to meet their needs at the time of market closing in Wulandoni District, Lembata Regency, NTT. This type of research is in the form of qualitative research using data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and conducting data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions in the data analysis techniques used. The result of this study is that the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred required the government to take a policy to temporarily close the barter market in the Wulandoni sub-district. In addition, the pandemic also has an impact on the decline in the income of market traders in the Wulandoni sub-district. The government certainly tries to give its best so that economic activities can resume running. One of the efforts made is to innovate in the form of special seats that are given a distance of 1 meter so that social distancing in the barter market continues. To be able to survive in the midst of a pandemic, the strategy used by the community when the barter market closed at that time was door-to-door bartering to its customers. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap perekonomian desa dan upaya masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya pada saat penutupan pasar di Kecamatan Wulandoni Kabupaten Lembata, NTT. Jenis penelitian ini berupa penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dalam teknik analisis data yang digunakan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi mengharuskan pemerintah mengambil kebijakan untuk menutup sementara pasar barter di kecamatan Wulandoni. Selain itu, pandemi juga berdampak pada penurunan pendapatan pedagang pasar di kecamatan Wulandoni. Pemerintah tentu berupaya memberikan yang terbaik agar kegiatan ekonomi bisa kembali berjalan. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah melakukan inovasi berupa tempat duduk khusus yang diberi jarak 1 meter agar social distancing di pasar barter tetap berjalan. Untuk dapat bertahan di tengah pandemi, strategi yang digunakan masyarakat saat pasar barter tutup saat itu adalah barter door to door kepada pelanggannya.

Professor Myron Korduba’s (1876 – 1947) creative contribution into geography of science and culture of Ukrainian Socialist Soviet Republic (UkrSSR) from the day of its formation and until the 1930s is disclosed. Development and allocation of scientific establishments of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, as well as the same of the republican archives, museums and libraries was highlighted through Prof. M. Korduba’s eye. Preconditions and details of accelerated growth of Ukrainian scientific movement at the beginning of post-revolution time in Ukrainian SSR are cleared up, as well as territorial specificities for the same are presented, namely, the availability of scientific Ukrainian associations outside the borders of Russia; a significant number of outstanding Ukrainian scientists in the Tsarist Russia itself; participation of representatives of different- ethnicity authors living on the territory of Ukraine in Ukrainian-language publications Three stages in brief history of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences are outlined and characterized as follows: 1918-1923 – the stage of formation; 1923-the last quarter of 1930 – full-scale development; and, the end of 1930 – the period of persecution and repressions of the members of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences; consolidation of “communist” science on the basis of Marxist-Leninist methodology. The activity of three departments within the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences is highlighted, namely, I. Historic-Philosophic; II. Physic-Mathematic; and, III. Social-Economic. Each of these had its own sections and boards to prepare a series or even several series of publications. Among the most distinctive collections of expressly geographical content, Myron Korduba outlined the “Historic-Geographic Series (1927; 4 volumes edited by the Board for Compilation of Geographical Dictionary of Ukraine); “Materials of the Seminar for the Study of National Economy of Ukraine” (from 1926), “Writings of Demographic Institute” (from 1924), “Transactions of Social-Economic Department of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences” (from 1923, 6 volumes), “Collection of Works by Social-Economic Department of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences” (from 1925, 35 issues). An essential portion of attention was given by Prof. Myron Korduba to institutes, associations and establishments affiliated and closely connected with the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Among these, there was National Library of Ukraine in Kyiv, Institute for Ukrainian Scientific Language, Kyiv and Odesa Boards for Regional Studies. The scientist had assessed the activity of 52 self-employed scientific departments, institutes and associations close to Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. The most important of them, to Prof. Myron Korsuba’s opinion, was the group of institutes for public education that published their “Writings”, i.e., Volyns’kyy in Zhytomyr, those in Dnipropetrovs’k, Kamyanets’-Podil’skyy, Kyiv, Luhansk, Nizhyn, Odesa, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Kherson. Of great importance and interest is the scientist’s information on archiving in Ukrainian SSR as of the beginning of the 1930s. Prof. Korduba distinguished between three classes of archives in the republic, namely, 1. Central; 2. Land (oblast); and 3. District (rayon) archives, and presented the map of territorial disposition of the same in the Soviet republic. Specificities of territorial organization of 95 republican museums are disclosed, where 19 were national-level museums, 54 – regional and district, 6 were associated with the Academy of Sciences and the Commissariat for Public Education, and 15 – with the other establishments. Myron Korduba brought special thoroughness to assessment of heritage available in 28 libraries of Ukrainian SSR. In particular, the scientist scrupulously characterized territorial differences in librarian funds and the number of visitors, while his analysis of bibliographic editions and of bibliographical science of is a unique study of the achievements of the Ukrainian Soviet republic. Prof. Myron Korduba’s assessment of the development of science and culture in the Ukrainian SSR is presented with a breakdown into every rayon of the republic and bears an expressly geographic aspect. To test the diagnostic performance of breast dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI during lactation.Datasets of 198 lactating patients, including 66 pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) patients and 132 controls, who were scanned by DCE on 1.5-T MRI, were retrospectively evaluated. Six blinded, expert radiologists independently read a single DCE maximal intensity projection (MIP) image for each case and were asked to determine whether malignancy was suspected and the background-parenchymal-enhancement (BPE) grade. Likewise, computer-aided diagnosis CAD MIP images were independently read by the readers. Contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) analysis was measured and compared among four consecutive acquisitions of DCE subtraction images.For MIP-DCE images, the readers achieved the following means: sensitivity 93.3%, specificity 80.3%, positive-predictive-value 70.4, negative-predictive-value 96.2, and diagnostic accuracy of 84.6%, with a substantial inter-rater agreement (Kappa = 0.673, p value0.001). Most false-positive interpretations were attributed to either the MIP presentation, an underlying benign lesion, or an asymmetric appearance due to prior treatments. CAD's derived diagnostic accuracy was similar (p = 0.41). BPE grades were significantly increased in the healthy controls compared to the PABC cohort (p0.001). CNR significantly decreased by 11-13% in each of the four post-contrast images (p0.001).Breast DCE MRI maintains its high efficiency among the lactating population, probably due to a vascular-steal phenomenon, which causes a significant reduction of BPE in cancer cases. Upon validation by prospective, multicenter trials, this study could open up the opportunity for breast MRI to be indicated in the screening and diagnosis of lactating patients, with the aim of facilitating an earlier diagnosis of PABC.• A single DCE MIP image was sufficient to reach a mean sensitivity of 93.3% and NPV of 96.2%, to stress the high efficiency of breast MRI during lactation. • Reduction in BPE among PABC patients compared to the lactating controls suggests that several factors, including a possible vascular steal phenomenon, may affect cancer patients. • Reduction in CNR along four consecutive post-contrast acquisitions highlights the differences in breast carcinoma and BPE kinetics and explains the sufficient conspicuity on the first subtracted image.

Pestil is one of the important foods traditionally produced in Türkiye, with high energy, vitamin and mineral content. It is obtained by naturally drying the pulp obtained from different kinds of fruits after mixing it with ingredients such as sugar and flour. In regions where the fruiting period depends on the season, fruit pulp is produced in order to benefit from it in winter. In addition, bioactive components originating from the fruit increase the nutritional value. In this study, the physicochemical and antioxidative properties of the pestil obtained from three different Hawthorn fruits (Crataegus meyeri, Crataegus turkestenica and Crataegus orientalis) known to have positive effects on health were investigated. The results revealed that, depending on the fruit type, pestil samples have high antioxidative properties (IC50: 50.11±0.16-52.1±2.14 mg/mL) due to the high phenol content (39.8±0.16-52.95±1.21 mg GA/g DW). In this context, in the present study, it has been seen that the pestil prepared with the traditional method from three different Hawthorn fruits should be industrially produced as a product for people to access healthy and various foods today.

Phytoremediation, as a cost-effective, highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and green approach, gained attention to the removal of metals, including heavy metals, from contaminated soils. The toxic nature of heavy metals can have an adverse effect on human health and the ecosystem, and their removal remains a worldwide problem. Therefore, in this study, a field experiment was carried out to evaluate the potential of Miscanthus × giganteus for the removal of ten microelements and heavy metals (Al, Zn, Fe, Pb, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni) from contaminated soil in the territory of a Municipal Waste Rendering Plant. Moreover, the effect of the incorporation of soil improver obtained upon composting biodegradable waste as well as the addition of highly contaminated post-industrial soil on the efficiency of phytoremediation and plant growth was described. The soil improver (SK-8) was applied to the soil at a rate of 200 Mg ha−1 and 400 Mg‧ha−1. Meanwhile, in the last object, 100 Mg‧ha−1 of highly contaminated post-industrial soil was added. Herein, the research was aimed at assessing the possibility of phytoextraction of heavy metals from soils with different physicochemical properties. The results showed that plants cultivated in soil with 400 Mg‧ha−1 of soil improver exhibited the highest yield (approximately 85% mass increase compared to the soil without additives). Furthermore, the application of a single dose of SK-8 (200 Mg ha−1) increased the uptake of Al, Fe, Co, Pb, Mn, Ni, and Cd by Miscanthus × giganteus compared to the soil without additives. Additionally, the performed biotests demonstrated no or low toxicity of the investigated soils affecting the test organisms. However, in all experiments, the phytorecovery of the elements did not exceed 1% of the amount introduced to the soil, which may result from a short cultivation period and large doses of SK-8 or highly contaminated post-industrial soil.

The structure of crimes in the financial and economic sphere is analyzed by means of the dialectical method. Based on the analysis of the latest legislative and theoretical achievements, applied to the issues of legal regulation of the studied financial and legal relations, scientific approaches are substantiated and proposals for improvement of regulations in this area are developed. In particular, economic security is viewed through the prism of the state's potential to ensure independent development, stability of civil society and its institutions, sufficient defense potential and its ability to protect national economic interests from internal and external threats. It is proposed to supplement Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine "On National Security of Ukraine" with the term "economic security" as a state of the national economy providing resilience to threats (exogenous and endogenous), ensuring a high level of competitiveness in the global economic space, to strengthen the comprehensive development. In the conclusions of the case, the convenience of implementing macroprudential tools as one of the dominant primary sources of information for risk assessment activities in the policies of the Directorate of Economic Security is supported.

Yazar bu romanında İsrail’in yaptığı yanlış uygulamalar üzerinden radikal İslamcı hareketlerce masum vatandaşların canına kast edilmesinin Filistin’in masumiyetinin açıklanamayacağını ifade etmek ister. İşin ilginç yanı romanda Sihem’i canlı bomba yapan radikal İslamcı Şeyh’de aynı akıbeti yaşar. Yazar, bu anlatısıyla şiddet sarmalının toplumlara fayda yerine zarar getireceğini ve günün birinde herkesi vurabileceğini göstermektedir. Anlatıcı-deha bu romanında terörün her türlüsüne karşı olduğunu kurguları ile ifade etmektedir. İsrail ve Filistin’in şiddet sarmalında olduğunu ve bunun kazananı olmayacağını haklı olan tarafa hakkının teslim edilmesini isteyen yazar kurgularında haklı olan tarafında Filistin olduğunu hissettirir. Ayrıca yazar, siyasetçilerinde bu şiddet sarmalını körüklediğini ima eder. Bununla birlikte; İnsanlara, kötülere karşı kötülükle karşılık verilemeyeceğini ifade etmek ister.

Pandemi döneminde fiziksel aktivite, sağlıklı beslenme, içilen sigara miktarında değişimi içeren sağlık davranışları değişimi ve kısıtlama önlemleri hakkındaki tutumlar ile bunların ilişkili oldukları faktörlerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bir üniversite hastanesi polikliniklerine başvuran 18 yaş üstü bireylerde yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile anket uygulanarak yürütülmüş, 1081(%86,4) kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Kısıtlama önlemleri hakkındaki tutumları değerlendirmek üzere oluşturulan sorulara verilen cevaplar, yüksek değerler daha çok desteklemeyi belirtecek biçimde puanlanarak tutum skoru elde edilmiştir. Katılımcıların %6,5’i fiziksel aktivite düzeyinin arttığını, %62,1’i azaldığını; %22’si daha sağlıklı beslendiğini, %17,9’u daha sağlıksız beslendiğini belirtmiştir. Sigara içenlerin %9,9’u içtikleri sigara miktarının azaldığını, %30’u arttığını belirtmiştir. Lojistik regresyon modeline göre, fiziksel aktivite düzeyinde azalma riski, en üst gelir grubunda (OR; %95 GA: 1,629; 1,013-2,619) ve COVID-19 geçirenlerde (1,451; 1,149-2,076) daha yüksektir. Bu risk, kısmen endişeli olanlar hariç, COVID-19 bulaşından endişeli olan gruplarda artmakta,18-25 yaş grubuna göre ise, 36-65 arasını içeren farklı yaş gruplarında daha azalmaktadır. Daha sağlıksız beslenme riski 46 yaş ve üzerini içeren farklı yaş gruplarında daha düşüktür. COVID-19 geçirme öyküsü olanlarda içilen sigara miktarında artış riski daha yüksektir (2,205; 1,318-3,689). Katılımcıların daha düşük oranda çok gerekli ya da gerekli olduklarını düşündükleri kısıtlama uygulamaları %61’le sokağa çıkma yasağı, %66’ıyla okulların kapatılmasıdır. The majority of the resources used for producing energy are conventional, which are limited and diminish quickly. So, it's critical to find out alternative options for energy generation. The wind, which is the cleanest and most accessible renewable energy source generated by highway vehicles, is completely wasted. A vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) may use this energy to generate electricity and store it in a battery if needed. The turbine shaft is connected to the U-coupler through the bearing, and the coupler is then connected to the motor shaft, which generates electricity. Here, we have harnessed electricity using VAWT, which could be installed on highway dividers in Bangladesh. We have produced an open circuit voltage of ~10 V by a 12 V, 200 rpm DC motor at a cut-in speed of 2.3 ms^−1. The generated power is fed to charge a mobile phone indicating a constant electrical power supply.

Perovskite appears to be the most promising candidate for thin-film optoelectronic devices due to its excellent optoelectronic properties, low-cost fabrication, and high photovoltaic performance. However, tin-based perovskite devices possess a few issues related to thermal instability and poor performance. A study on thermal instability will be important to understand the inner mechanism of the device. To find out the cause of thermal instability, a study on the temperature coefficient of different electrical parameters is necessary. In this work, the effect of temperature on electrical parameters of methylammonium tin iodide (CH3NH3SnI3) and methylammonium tin chloride (CH3NH3SnCl3) based Schottky devices having an ITO/Perovskites/Al architecture has been studied using a SCAPS-1D simulator. The coefficients of the temperature of these parameters have been calculated. The currentvoltage analysis shows the positive temperature coefficient of barrier height and negative temperature coefficient of the ideality factor. The estimated values of the absolute temperature coefficient of barrier height and ideality factor are 1.28 meV per K and 0.07 per K for CH3NH3SnI3 and 1.14 meV per K and 0.02 per K for CH3NH3SnCl3 perovskite-based Schottky device, respectively. The comparative study shows that the CH3NH3SnCl3 perovskite has better thermal stability. We have also studied the variation of thickness, defect densities, and acceptor concentration of the perovskites, and finally, an optimized device of both types of Schottky devices has been proposed. This study reveals the temperature sensitiveness of lead-free tin-based perovskite-based Schottky devices. The decrease in the value of different device parameters will be very informative for further study to get temperature invariant performances of lead-free perovskite solar cells.
