- Abstract
Objective To investigate the CYP4A11 gene rs9333025 A/G Polymorphism in a Yi nationality population in Yunnan Province,and to build a foundation for the future research of CYP4A11 related diseases. Methods We studied 303 healthy subjects of Yi nationality in rural area of Jinning,Yunnan Province. The CYP4A11 rs9333025 A/G Polymorphism was determined by Polymerase chain reaction- restriction fragment (PCRRFLP) technique. The genotype frequencies and allele frequencies were obtained and compared with those collected from other population. Results In this healthy Yi group of Yunnan province,frequencies for the AA、AG and GG genotypes were 2.31%、27.72% and 69.97%; derived allele frequencies for the A and G allele were 16.17% and 83.83% . The distribution of CYP4A11 genotypes and the allele frequencies in this Yi group were significantly different from Japanese(P<0.05);compared with the Han nationality, the difference in genotype distribution was not statistically significant(P > 0.05),but the difference in allele frequency was statistically significant (P < 0.05);compared with Mongolian, there was no significant difference in genotype and allele frequency. Conclusion The frequency of the genotype or the allele of CYP4A11 rs9333025 A/G polymorphism is different significantly in different national populations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
