The stability parameters were quantified through a study in the thirteen economic traits in fourteen genotypes of Ocimum. The essential oil yields of the Ocimum in different environments are influenced by economic traits that are affected by genotype × environment interactions. The genotype × environment interaction analysis in Ocimum is scanty for the essential oil yield. This experiment was planned to judge the consequences of genotype × environment interaction on the key characters in Ocimum to select in diverse environments. The fourteen Ocimum genotypes were assessed in three years: 2016-2017, 2017-2018, and 2018-2019 in the Kharif season. Subsequently, the Eberhart and Russell and GGE biplot models were used to carry out genotype × environment interactions for stability. This endeavor's objectives were to predict the Ocimum lines and interspecific hybrids performance across the year's and stable lines selection. The results depicted a significant G × E interaction effect on all traits (p<0.05) except the transpiration rate. Both GGE biplot and Eberhart and Russell models identified traits in high efficiency among genotypes across-environments for stability. The GGE biplot and Eberhart and Russell models helped select genotypes correlated with desired characters' over-environments. Based on both stability models and the mean performance of high oil yield, the two stable genotypes, namely O-9, O-10 for high essential oil yield, O-3, O-4, and O-10 for the photosynthesis rate selected for further exploitation. One of the best fixatives for strong perfumes that add strength, character, seductive notes, and enduring properties is patchouli essential oil. It is highly prized in the fragrance, soap, cosmetics, and flavor sectors and acts as a standalone perfume. It is possible to learn crucial information about the plant's growth patterns and general compatibility with different environmental conditions by examining the consistency of patchouli cultivation, production of essential oils, and other key qualities throughout different years/environments. Patchouli is gaining popularity due to how simple it is to grow, particularly in shady orchards or forests where it is challenging to grow other food crops. To prepare for its extensive cultivation in India, the study's objective was to identify stable patchouli lines with high essential oil yields and distinctive aromas. An analysis of variance was performed using the AMMI statistical model to determine the additive main effect and multiplicative interaction (AMMI model) families for the economic traits. There was statistical significance for each of the main impacts of genotype (G) and interaction (GEI). Except for X7, all of the characters are affected by the treatment's (T) components. Except for traits X1, X4, and X5, IPCA 1 is also determined to be relevant. The overall winning lines for the essential oil yield (EOY) were GEN 2, 12, followed by GEN 3, and GEN 11, and for the patchouli alcohol, GEN 6, followed by GEN 8, 9, 1, and 3. For ar-curcumin (%), GEN 15, 5, 10, 6, and 12, and γ-curcumin (%), GEN 1, 8, 7, 9, and 2 were the genotypes that performed best. In this research, GEN 2, and 12 for essential oil (EO) production were the most preferable and stable genotypes. With their high mean essential oil yield and stable patchouli alcohol content, the genotypes GEN 2 and 12 for essential oil yield and GEN 6 and 8 for patchouli alcohol content were the most promising and might be used for commercial cultivation. Vetiver is a perennial aromatic grass with thin essential oil-rich roots. The current investigation was conducted at the CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow (India), on the eighty distinct vetiver lines. The experiment was conducted over three consecutive years, 2017–18, 2018–19, and 2019-20 using a randomized complete block design with three replications. The genotype (G) and genotype × environment (GE) interactions were found to be highly significant in this study, indicating that GE had a considerable impact on genotype essential oil yield. E1, E2, and E3 were all connected as part of a single group, and E3 also joined them. The genotypes, namely Gv5, Gv6, and Gv3, were polygonally stable and performed well in essential oil yield in a GGE biplot evaluation of environmental interrelationships. Because they are all arranged in a concentric circle around the center, the genotypes Gv5, Gv6, and Gv3 were all extraordinarily stable and favorable for essential oil yield. The purple inflorescence of vetiver was related to Khusimol rich light brown colour essential oil, while the greenish inflorescence of vetiver was associated with Khusilal rich whitish colour essential oil. These marker associations will aid vetiver breeders in selecting genotypes with high essential yields. These genotypes could be used to create new vetiver cultivars in the future. Eucalyptus citriodora is a perennial shrub with aromatic and medicinal qualities that produces a volatile, fragrant essential oil. Its essential oil is widely used in various cosmetic and fragrance businesses, including toiletries, disinfectants, and fragrances. The essential oils had extraordinarily high citronellal, isopulegol, and citronellol. The findings also demonstrate that genetic diversity plays a role in interactions among genotypes (G), environments (E), and genetic environments (G × E) for stability, including vital oil output. The RBD design of the trials included three replications at each site. According to the GE interaction, all traits were significant, except for trait X3. The findings also showed that genetic diversity is evident in genotypes (G), environments (E), and genetic environment (GE) interactions for stability, including essential oil yield. The traits, namely X2-VS-X3, X2-VS-X5, and X3-VS-X6, displayed positive and highly significant correlations in all three locations/environments, in contrast to the negative and highly significant correlations observed between the traits X1-VS-X4. These traits either directly or indirectly control the manifestation of genotype stability. The study results indicated that the GGE biplot identifies the optimum lines over the location. The genotypes, namely Ec1, Ec2, and Ec4, were near the origin in the circle and were highly stable and able to yield high essential oils (116.20, 115.50, and 94.80 kg/ha) with high citronellal (76.80, 72.60, and 62.03%), and citronellol content (8.86, 8.70, and 8.65%). • Genus Ocimum exhibit a wide range of diversity for traits such as essential oil yield and its quality. • All 43 genotypes grouped into the six diverse clusters based on the degree of divergence. • This stability model increased/decreased traits performance in mega-environments. • The genotypes G7, G38 for high oil; G16, G30 for methyl chavicol were identified. Based on the genetic diversity and mean performance of essential oil yield eleven genotypes namely G1, G7, G10, G11, G14, G16, G19, G23, G30, G37, and G38 were selected from the set of forty-three genotypes of Ocimum. The Additive main effects and multiplicative interaction analysis is used for a further selection of the stable genotypes. The essential oil of different Ocimum genotypes indicated different major aroma chemicals such as estragole, (-) linalool, β-ocimene, and chavibetol, etc. The present study identified the genotypes, namely G1 for high fresh herb yield; G38, G7, G1, G37, and G23 for the high essential oil yield; G30 and G16 for high methyl chavicol content (%), and G38 for high (-) linalool content and high essential oil yield with high stability in the North Indian plains.
