The aim of this paper is to show the impact of globalization on the phenomenon of war, looking at the problem from the cultural perspective. The global increase in the number of connections regarding all areas of our life - politics, economy, culture, security - significantly affects the goals and means of warfare. War, entering the global space, is no longer territorial, and can’t be solved in a conventional ways. War loses its frame, for the actors, time, place and purposes, and becomes liquid. At the same time, the article indicates the differences that still exist in the methods of warfare between members of distinct cultures and civilizations. The study of different war cultures seems to be very important in the world, which expands the scope of relations, including cross-cultural contacts.

The aim of this paper is presentation of “global career” of the Western way of war as one of the global processes. The introduction of Western military techniques and institutions into the Extra-European world may be considered not only as the beginning of the westernization but also as a method to save the independence of non Western societies. Nowadays, although the division between center and periphery, also in terms of military power seems to be durable, non Western societies find new ways to change it.
