Graphdiyne (GDY) is an exclusive carbon allotrope with a two‐dimensional (2D) structure that can be synthesized in laboratory settings. Due to its distinctive 2D structure and excellent electronic properties, GDY has captured the great interest of researchers. In addition, the porous nature and high specific surface area of GDY afford numerous storage sites and channels, rendering it highly promising for diverse applications. The synthesis of GDY still faces a multitude of obstacles and challenges. Developing new synthesis methods towards high‐quality GDY is particularly significant. As such, we here presented an overview of the reported synthesis techniques for GDY, categorizing them into three distinct approaches: interfacial synthesis, solid‐phase synthesis, and solution‐phase synthesis. This comprehensive summary provides valuable references for addressing the persistent challenges in the synthesis of GDY. In the end, an outlook sheds light on future research of the GDY materials. We report a facile strategy to prepare a large amount of ultrathin graphdiyne (GDY) with good crystallinity in the mixture of oil–water systems. By simply mixing the solution of GDY monomer in CHCl3 and the copper acetate solution as a catalyst in water and stirring at room temperature, ultrathin GDY films with a thickness of ∼4 nm were obtained in a yield of 95 %. This work provides a feasible path for the substantial preparation of GDY films and may pave the way to the development of substantial preparation of the GDY materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Graphdiyne (GDY) has been ideal candidate support for atomic catalysts (ACs) due to its unique conjugated two‐dimensional (2D) structure comprising both sp‐ and sp2‐hybrid carbon atoms. ACs/GDY can display excellent catalytic ability and high selectivity, emerging as a cutting‐edge research area in the past few years. Recently, a growing body of work has been done in ACs/GDY, ranging from screening appropriate combinations theoretically, continuous improvement to prepare few‐layered GDY to meet the critical challenge in this area, and successfully fabricating ACs/GDY in facile way. This Minireview briefly introduces recent advanced progress in this field, including the synthetic method for both thin GDY film and ACs/GDY, as well as theoretical analysis of different ACs/GDY systems, characterization, and applications. In the end, the challenges and further opportunities of ACs/GDY are summarized and proposed. Graphdiyne (GDY), as a new carbon allotrope, possessing both sp‐ and sp2‐hybridized carbon atoms, has attracted extensive attention due to great application potentials in various fields. To realize a fundamental understanding of the intrinsic properties of GDY, the controllable synthesis of ultrathin and highly crystalline GDY is necessary and challenging. Herein, a confined interfacial synthetic strategy towards highly crystalline ultrathin GDY at the water/oil/organogel interface, with greatly improved control over GDY structures, is reported. The morphology and chemical composition of GDY was characterized accordingly. After loading with gold, the as‐prepared hydrophobic Au/GDY system showed excellent performance in the nitrogen reduction reaction, reaching the highest yield of 4.15 μg cm−2 h−1 with a Faraday efficiency of 1.95 %. The properties of electron transport layers play a crucial role in determining the performance of perovskite solar cells. Here we reported that graphdiyne doped in both PCBM and ZnO films of perovskite solar cells with an inverted structure based on MAPbI 3 for the first time. A high efficiency of 20.0% was achieved in MAPbI 3 perovskite solar cells. Moreover, the J - V hysteresis and stability were significantly improved as well. It was found that dual doping graphdiyne not only increased electrical conductivity, electron mobility, and charge extraction ability in the electron transport layers but also improved film morphology of the electron transport layers and reduced charge recombination which contribute to fill factor improvement. Therefore the results indicate that dual doping graphdiyne is a promising strategy to enhance perovskite solar cells performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

H 2 biases the polarization direction of CH 4 towards the Z-axis (perpendicular to the substrate plane), and accumulates negative charge on the C atom on the substrate to form a negative charge center.
