Introduction: there is a close relationship between the health of an individual, their workplace and the community, which influences the quality of life and consequently the morbidity and mortality of people who suffer from chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Therefore, our objective is to review the existing literature on the influence of healthy work environments and the control of NCDs (diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure and obesity). Methodology: a bibliographic review was carried out in the databases: Scielo, Pubmed, SciencieDirect and Google Scholar. Results: NCDs affect all people regardless of age, nationality, or residence; Approximately 15 million of these deaths occur between ages 30 and 69. Physical activity and nutrition have a social influence and the work environment provides a favorable context for this influence on manifest. Work environments that promote the emotional and physical well-being of people improve worker health and the results of organizations. Conclusion: the implementation of prevention and early diagnosis programs for cardiovascular risk, weight control and healthy habits will generate benefits to the workplace, to workers affected and at risk of NCDs, which will translate into greater adherence to treatment, adequate management of stress, decreased work absenteeism, achievement of objectives and goals in the organization and greater profits.
