One loop contributions to the CP even-CP odd Higgs boson mixings arising from contributions due to exchange of a vectorlike multiplet are computed under the Higgs boson mass constraint. The vectorlike multiplet consists of a fourth generation of quarks and a mirror generation. This sector brings in new CP phases which can be large consistent with EDM constraints. In this work we compute the contributions from the exchange of quarks and mirror quarks $t_{4L}, t_{4R}, T_{L}, T_{R}$, and their scalar partners, the squarks and the mirror squarks. The effect of their contributions to the Higgs boson masses and mixings are computed and analyzed. The possibility of measuring the effects of mixing of CP even and CP odd Higgs in experiment is discussed. It is shown that the branching ratios of the Higgs bosons into fermion pairs are sensitive to new physics and specifically to CP phases., 35 pages, 10 figures. Higgs boson mass measurement at $\sim 125$ GeV points to a high scale for SUSY specifically the scalar masses. If all the scalars are heavy, supersymmetric contribution to the leptonic $g-2$ moments will be significantly reduced. On the other hand the Brookhaven experiment indicates a 3sigma deviation from the standard model prediction. Here we analyze the leptonic $g-2$ moments in an extended MSSM model with inclusion of a vector like leptonic generation which brings in new sources of CP violation. In this work we consider the contributions to the leptonic $g-2$ moments arising from the exchange of charginos and neutralinos, sleptons and mirror sleptons, and from the exchange of $W$ and $Z$ bosons and of leptons and mirror leptons. We focus specifically on the $g-2$ moments for the muon and the electron where sensitive measurements exist. Here it is shown that one can get consistency with the current data on $g-2$ under the Higgs boson mass constraint. Dependence of the moments on CP phases from the extended sector are analyzed and it is shown that they are sensitively dependent on the phases from the new sector. It is shown that the corrections to the leptonic moments arising from the extended MSSM sector will be non-vanishing even if the SUSY scale extends into the PeV region., Comment: 19 pages, 7 figures

We give a quantitative analysis of the electric dipole moments as a probe of high scale physics. We focus on the electric dipole moment of the electron since the limit on it is the most stringent. Further, theoretical computations of it are free of QCD uncertainties. The analysis presented here first explores the probe of high scales via electron EDM within MSSM where the contributions to the electric dipole moment (EDM) arise from the chargino and the neutralino exchanges in loops. Here it is shown that the electron EDM can probe mass scales from tens of TeV into the PeV range.The analysis is then extended to include a vectorlike generation which can mix with the three ordinary generations. Here new CP phases arise and it is shown that the electron EDM now has not only a supersymmetric contribution from the exchange of charginos and neutralinos but also a non-supersymmetric contribution from the exchange of W and Z bosons. It is further shown that the interference of the supersymmetric and the non-supersymmetric contribution leads to the remarkable phenomenon where the electron EDM as a function of the slepton mass first falls and become vanishingly small and then rises again as the slepton mass increases This phenomenon arises as a consequence of cancellation between the SUSY and the non-SUSY contribution at low scales while at high scales the SUSY contribution dies out and the EDM is controlled by the non-SUSY contribution alone. The high mass scales that can be probed by the EDM are far in excess of what accelerators will be able to probe. The electric dipole moment (EDM) of the top quark is calculated in a model with a vector like multiplet which mixes with the third generation in an extension of the MSSM. Such mixings allow for new CP violating phases. Including these new CP phases, the EDM of the top in this class of models is computed. The top EDM arises from loops involving the exchange of the W, the Z as well as from the exchange involving the charginos, the neutralinos, the gluino, and the vector like multiplet and their superpartners. The analysis of the EDM of the top is more complicated than for the light quarks because the mass of the external fermion, in this case the top quark mass cannot be ignored relative to the masses inside the loops. A numerical analysis is presented and it is shown that the top EDM could be close to $10^{-19} ecm$ consistent with the current limits on the EDM of the electron, the neutron and on atomic EDMs. A top EDM of size $10^{-19}ecm$ could be accessible in collider experiments such as the ILC., Comment: 21 pages and 5 figues. We extend previous analyses of the supersymmetric loop correction to the neutral Higgs couplings to include the coupling $\chi^{+}_j \chi^{-}_kH^{0}_l$. The analysis completes the previous analyses where similar corrections were computed for the $\bar{\tau} \tau H^{0}_l$, $\bar{b} b H^{0}_l$, $\bar{c} c H^{0}_l$ and for $\bar{t} t H^{0}_l$ couplings within the minimal supersymmetric standard model. The effective one loop Lagrangian is then applied to the computation of the neutral Higgs decays. The sizes of the supersymmetric loop corrections of the neutral Higgs decay widths into $\chi^{+}_i \chi^{-}_j$ ($i=1,2$; $j=1,2$) are investigated and the supersymmetric loop correction is found to be in the range of $7\sim15%$ in significant regions of the parameter space. By including the loop corrections of the other decay channels $\bar{b} b$, $\bar{t} t$, $\bar{\tau} \tau$, $\bar{c} c$, and $\chi^0_i \chi^0_j$ ($i=1-4$; $j=1-4$), the corrections to branching ratios for $H^{0}_l\to \chi^{+}_i \chi^{-}_j$ can reach as high as 40%. A review of CP violation from the Standard Model to strings is given which includes a broad landscape of particle physics models, encompassing the non-supersymmetric 4D extensions of the standard model, and models based on supersymmetry, on extra dimensions, on strings and on branes. The supersymmetric models discussed include complex mSUGRA and its extensions, while the models based on extra dimensions include 5D models including models based on warped geometry. CP violation beyond the standard model is central to achieving the desired amount of baryon asymmetry in the universe via baryogenesis and leptogenesis. They also affect a variety of particle physics phenomena: electric dipole moments, $g-2$, relic density and detection rates for neutralino dark matter in supersymmetric theories, Yukawa unification in grand unified and string based models, and sparticle production cross sections, and their decays patterns and signatures at hadron colliders. Additionally CP violations can generate CP even-CP odd Higgs mixings, affect the neutral Higgs spectrum and lead to phenomena detectable at colliders. Prominent among these are the CP violation effects in decays of neutral and charged Higgs bosons. Neutrino masses introduce new sources of CP violation which will be explored in neutrino factories in the future. Such phases can also enter in proton stability in unified models of particle interactions. The compatibility of producing the observed amount of dark matter, as indicated by the WMAP data, through the relic abundance of neutralinos with Yukawa unification and with the measured rate of $b\to s \gamma$ is analyzed in mSUGRA and extended SUGRA unified models with the inclusion of CP phases. The CP phases affect the analysis in several ways, e.g., through the threshold corrections to the b-quark mass, via their effects on the neutralino relic density and through the SUSY contribution to the BR($b\to s \gamma$) which is sensitive to the CP phases. We present some specific models with large SUSY phases, which can accommodate the fermion electric dipole moment constraints and give a neutralino relic density in agreement with observations as well as with the b-$\tau$ unification constraint. The one loop corrected effective Lagrangian for the quark-squark-chargino and quark-squark-neutralino interactions is computed. The effective Lagrangian takes into account the loop corrections arising from the exchange of the gluinos, charginos, neutralinos, W, Z, the charged Higgs, and the neutral Higgs. We further analyze the squark decays into charginos and neutralinos and discuss the effect of the loop corrections on them. The analysis takes into account CP phases in the soft parameters. It is found that the loop corrections to the stop decay widths into chargino and neutralinos can be as much as thirty percent or even larger. Further, the stop decay widths show a strong dependence on the CP phases. These results are of relevance in the precision predictions of squark decays in the context of specific models of soft breaking in supergravity and string based models., 36 pages latex, 10 figures

A brief review is given of recent analyses of the effects of CP phases on the supersymmetric QCD and supersymmetric electroweak contibutions to the $b$ and $t$ quark masses and to the $\tau$ lepton mass in SUGRA models. The effects of CP phases on the supersymmetric contributions are found to be significanlty large for the b quark mass as they can change both its sign and its magnitude. Thus with the inclusion of CP phases the supersymmetric correction to the b quark mass can be as much as fifty percent or more of the total b quark mass. For the case of the $\tau$ lepton, the effects of CP phases on the supersymmetric correction is also relatively large as it can again affect both the sign and the magnitude of the $\tau$ mass correction. However, in this case the overall correction is found to be only a few percent. The effect of CP phases on SUSY contribution to the $t$ quark mass was also investigated. However, in this case the overall correction is less than a percent with or without the inclusion of phases. The branching ratio of the lightest Higgs decay into $b\bar b$, $\tau\bar\tau$ and $c\bar c$ is sensitive to supersymmetric effects. We include in this work the effects of CP phases on the Higgs decays. Specifically we compute the deviation of the CP phase dependent branching ratio from the standard model result. The analysis includes the full one loop corrections of fermion masses including CP phases involving the gluino, the chargino and the neutralino exchanges. The analysis shows that the supersymmetric effects with CP phases can change the branching ratios by as much as 100% for the lightest Higgs decay into $b\bar b$ and $\tau\bar\tau$ with similar results holding for the heavier Higgs decays. A detailed analysis is also given of the effects of CP phases on the Higgs decays into $c\bar c$. The deviations of $R_{b/\tau}$ and $R_{b/c}$ from the standard model result are investigated as a possible signature of supersymmetry and CP effects. Supersymmetric QCD and supersymmetric electroweak loop corrections to the violations of weak isospin to Yukawa couplings are investigated. Specifically it involves an analysis of the supersymmetric loop corrections to the Higgs couplings to the third generation quarks and leptons. Here we analyze the SUSY loop corrections to the charged Higgs couplings which are then compared with the supersymmetric loop corrections to the neutral Higgs couplings previously computed. It is found that the weak isospin violations can be quite significant, i.e, as much as 40-50% or more of the total loop correction to the Yukawa coupling. The effects of CP phases are also studied and it is found that these effects can either enhance or suppress the weak isospin violations. We also investigate the weak isospin violation effects on the branching ratio $BR(H^-\to\bar t b)/ BR(H^-\to \bar\nu_{\tau}\tau^-)$ and show that the effects are sensitive to CP phases. Thus an accurate measurement of this branching ratio along with the branching ratio of the neutral Higgs boson decays can provide a measure of weak isospin violation along with providing a clue to the presence of supersymmetry., Comment: 20 pages, 9 figures

An analytic analysis of the CP violating effects arising from the soft SUSY breaking parameters on the decays $B^0_{s,d}\to \it l^+\it l^-$ at large $\tan\beta$ is given. It is found that the phases have a strong effect on the branching ratio and in some regions of the parameter space they can lead to a variation of the branching ratio by as much as 1-2 orders of magnitude. A review is given of CP violation in a broad class of models based on supersymmetry, superstrings and brane models. Such models contain typically large CP violating phases which affect a variety of supersymmetric phenomenon at low energies and affect search for supersymmetry at colliders and in dark matter experiments. We focus here on few such phenomena, specifically the mixing of the CP even and the CP odd Higgs bosons which can be induced by loop corrections and on CP violation in the muon sector. An analytic analysis of the CP violating effects arising from the soft SUSY breaking parameters on the decays $B^0_{s,d}\to \it l^+\it l^-$ at large $\tan��$ is given. It is found that the phases have a strong effect on the branching ratio and in some regions of the parameter space they can lead to a variation of the branching ratio by as much as 1-2 orders of magnitude. We use the recently derived CP phase dependent analytic results for the supersymmetric electro-weak correction to $g_{\mu}-2$ to constrain the explicit CP phases in softly broken supersymmetry using the new physics effect seen in the g-2 Brookhaven measurement. It is shown that the BNL data strongly constrains the CP violating phase $\theta_{\mu}$ (the phase of the Higgs mixing parameter $\mu$) and $\xi_2$ (the phase of the SU(2) gaugino mass $\tilde m_2$) and as much as 60-90% of the region in the $\xi_2-\theta_{\mu}$ plane is eliminated over a significant region of the MSSM parameter space by the BNL constraint. The region of CP phases not excluded by the BNL experiment allows for large phases and for a satisfaction of the EDM constraints via the cancellation mechanism. We find several models with large CP violation which satisfy the EDM constraint via the cancellation mechanism and produce an $a_{\mu}^{SUSY}$ consistent with the new physics signal seen by the Brookhaven experiment. A brief review is given of the effects of CP violation on the direct detection of neutralinos in dark matter detectors. We first summarize the current developments using the cancellation mechanism which allows for the existence of large CP violating phases consistent with experimental limits on the electron and on the neutron electric dipole moments in a broad class of SUSY, string and D brane models. We then discuss their effects on the scattering of neutralinos from quarks and on the event rates. It is found that while CP effects on the event rates can be enormous such effects are reduced significantly with the imposition of the EDM constraints. Effects of CP violation on the supersymmetric electro-weak correction to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon are investigated with the most general allowed set of CP violating phases in MSSM. The analysis includes contributions from the chargino and the neutralino exchanges to the muon anomaly. The supersymmetric contributions depend only on specific combinations of CP phases. The independent set of such phases is classified. We analyse the effects of the phases under the EDM constraints and show that large CP violating phases can drastically affect the magnitude of the supersymmetric electro-weak contribution to $a_{\mu}$ and may even affect its overall sign., Comment: 26 pages Latex file including 4 figures

An analysis of the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the neutron and of the leptons in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with the most general allowed set of CP violating phases without generational mixing is given. The analysis includes the contributions from the gluino, the chargino and the neutralino exchanges to the electric dipole operator, the chromoelectic dipole operator, and the CP violating purely gluonic dimension six operator. It is found that the EDMs depend only on certain combination of the CP phases. The independent set of such phases is classified. An analysis of the neutron EDM and of the electron EDM in minimal N=1 supergravity unification with two CP violating phases is given. For the neutron the analysis includes the complete one loop gluino, chargino, and neutralino exchange diagrams for the electric dipole and the chromoelectric dipole operators, and also the contribution of the purely gluonic dimension six operator. It is shown that there exist significant regions in the six dimensional parameter space of the model where cancellations between the gluino and the chargino exchanges reduce the electric and the chromoelectric contributions, and further cancellations among the electric, the chromoelectric, and the purely gluonic parts lead to a dramatic lowering of the neutron EDM sometimes below the electron EDM value. This phenomenon gives a new mechanism, i.e., that of internal cancellations, for the suppression of the neutron EDM in supersymmetric theories.
