In the context of gauge/gravity duality, we verify two types of gauge theory low-energy theorems, the dilation Ward identities and the decoupling of heavy flavor. First, we provide an analytic proof of non-trivial dilation Ward identities for a theory holographically dual to a background with gluon condensate (the self-dual Liu--Tseytlin background). In this way an important class of low-energy theorems for correlators of different operators with the trace of the energy-momentum tensor is established, which so far has been studied in field theory only. Another low-energy relationship, the so-called decoupling theorem, is numerically shown to hold universally in three holographic models involving both the quark and the gluon condensate. We show this by comparing the ratio of the quark and gluon condensates in three different examples of gravity backgrounds with non-trivial dilaton flow. The essence of the chiral magnetic effect is generation of an electric current along an external magnetic field. Recently it has been studied by Rebhan et al. within the Sakai--Sugimoto model, where it was shown to be zero. As an alternative, we calculate the chiral magnetic effect in soft-wall AdS/QCD and find a non-zero result with the natural boundary conditions. We obtain the QCD quark condensate from consideration of unquenched quark dynamics in Dyson-Schwinger gluon vacuum. We consider the non-local extension of the condensate and determine the quark virtuality. We study confinement property of pure SU(3) gauge theory, combining in this effort the non-perturbative gluon and ghost propagators obtained as solutions of Dyson--Schwinger equations with solutions of an integral ladder diagram summation type equation for the Wilson loop. We establish a novel method of obtaining the gauge-invariant bilocal condensate of gluon fields from the solutions of the Dyson--Schwinger equations (DSE) which works in the infrared and ultraviolet limits. We consider induced pair production in an external field at finite temperature. One-loop correction to the Green function of a meson is calculated semiclassically within the framework of saddle-point analysis of Schwinger proper time integrals. This correction appears to be exponentially small in terms of inverse temperature dependence. Low-temperature limit is shown to be in full agreement with previously obtained zero-temperature results. The corrections in the low-temperature limits are estimated up to the leading exponential and pre-exponential terms. The rate of the non-perturbative decay of a 't Hooft - Polyakov monopole in an external electric field into a dyon and a charged fermion is calculated. The subleading semiclassical prefactor is presented for the first time for this process. The leading exponential factor is shown to be in full agreement with the previous results derived in a different technique. The rate of monopole decay into a dyon and an electron in an inhomogeneous external electric field is calculated by semiclassical methods. Comparison is made to an earlier result where this quantity was calculated for a constant field. Within the ghost-free Analytic Perturbation Theory (APT), devised in the last decade for low energy QCD, simple approximations are proposed for 3-loop analytic couplings and their effective powers, in both the space-like (Euclidean) and time-like (Minkowskian) regions, accurate enough in the large range (1--100 GeV) of current physical interest.\par Effectiveness of the new Model is illustrated by the example of $\Upsilon(1\mathrm{S})$ decay where the standard analysis gives $\alpha_s(M_{\Upsilon})=0.170\pm 0.004$ value that is inconsistent with the bulk of data for $\alpha_s$. Instead, we obtain $\alpha_s^{Mod}(M_{\Upsilon})=0.185\pm 0.005$ that corresponds to $\alpha_s^{Mod}(M_Z)=0.120\pm 0.002 $ that is close to the world average.\par The issue of scale uncertainty for $\Upsilon$ decay is also discussed., Comment: 12 pages, 0 figures.
