Abstract

The article examines the effect of endorsement by local opinion leaders and teacher testimonials on dissemination of a Web-based program to prevent smoking, Consider This (CT), which was tested in a group randomized 2 x 2 factorial posttest-only design. A brochure promoting the use of CT was mailed to 375 junior and senior high schools in Colorado. Schools were assigned to condition by region served by the local tobacco control coalition.
