This innovation aims to provide a Simple House (SH) Type 24 m2 (T-24) floor area made from PVC pipes and Glass-Fiber Reinforced Cement (GRC) boards. The simple house-building structure in this invention consists of PVC pipes and GRC boards which are arranged based on simple building designs in Indonesia. PVC pipes as components of the building space frame and roof are reinforced with reinforced concrete mixed and PVC pipe connections. The potential for users of simple houses for low-income people (MBR) is very large in Indonesia. With a shortage of one million houses per year, the PUPR Ministry is only able to meet 30% or around 400,000 units per year of people's housing needs. The benefit and advantage of innovation is that space frame building construction consisting of floor beams, columns, and ring beams made from PVC pipes is easy to do using relatively simple craftsman equipment. The T-24 simple house innovation is a building that is easy to work on because this building uses materials that can be easily found in various regions in Indonesia, namely PVC pipe materials and GRC boards. In summary, the T-24 simple house prototype has the following innovations: 1) cement brick foundation, 2) construction of floor beams, columns, and ring blocks using PVC pipes and concrete mix without splitting, 3) main roof material structure (horses and battens) made from PVC pipes, 4) SH T-24 roof covers and walls made from GRC boards, 5) Building features such as doors and windows use a combination GRC boards and glass materials. The biggest problem in housing in Indonesia is how to deal with the housing problems of low-income communities. Houses normally inhabited by such communities are often in unhealthy environments, as are houses built only with cheap materials or waste materials. One example of the lower layers of the community is the drillers who settled in the Kawatuna TPA of Palu City. The drillers built houses using local materials such as wood, ruby or zinc roofs, and tripleks. The condition of the houses built by the rollers is very worrying, especially the lack of ventilation, which causes the air exchange to not take place properly. And a lot of garbage gathered in front of the house could lead to disease. This research will conduct a study that can find solutions to the problems faced by rollers in the Kawatuna TPA area, one of which is through the use of garbage waste as a substitute material manufactured for the construction of rolling houses. In addition to that, a redesign of the shape of the houses will be done to get a proper shape from the health side. The data analysis used is a qualitative descriptive analysis. Qualitative data obtained through data collection techniques using observation results in the Kawatuna TPA. The results of this study are simple, healthy home designs that utilize waste materials. The present study focuses on knowing the environmental impact in terms of CO2 equivalent (CO2e) in the construction of adobe and brick single-family homes in the district of Aucallama, province of Huaral, Lima. The methodology followed was observational - quasiexperimental. Field studies were carried out, taking necessary data for the analysis of the unit items, these involve all the resources that are needed in the activities of the housing construction process. In order to have accurate and reliable results, calculations of meters and Carbon Footprint have been made with homes designed under the recommendations of the Peruvian Standards. The Carbon Footprint CF calculations were made with the help of Emission Factors from international inventories and national research. The calculations are made for the three processes: production of inputs, transportation, and execution. In the construction of the adobe house, 14 tons of CO2e have been obtained, while for the brick house, 50 tons of CO2e. The low built-in CF of the adobe house is due to the activities and inputs for the construction of those houses, which are handmade and large equipment is not required for each process, which makes it a sustainable house. This study discusses the construction of residential houses in accordance with sharia principles, both in the art and science of designing and constructing buildings and residential houses, which is then called architectural fiqh. Residential construction in addition to paying attention to architecture must also pay attention to aspects of Islamic law. Attention of classical and contemporary scholars very few specifically talk about architecture from the point of view of jurisprudence. So far, studies on architecture have mostly studied Islamic architecture, but no one has studied architecture in a fiqh approach. So, through the fiqh approach, a new study was initiated, namely architectural fiqh. This research is a literature study with a focus on fiqh studies in building sharia residential houses using a conceptual approach and an architectural fiqh approach which is analyzed through qualitative content analysis. The findings of this study indicate that the construction of residential houses so far only pays attention to architectural aspects, so there is a need for a fiqh and architectural approach [architectural fiqh], namely building houses according to sharia signs such as aspects of worship, muamalah, neighborly etiquette and 'urfor adat. The Metropolitan Area of Concepción (AMC) has industrial traces in its urban development. Under the auspices of state industries and their workers, housing complexes were developed in the second half of the twentieth century, away from industrial plants, proposing new modes of urban development for the period and location. A case in question is the Cooperativa de Empleados Refinería de Petróleo Concepción (Concepcion Petrol Refinery Employees Cooperative or CEREPEC), in Chiguayante. This article records part of the urban evolution of this commune, through the analysis of a housing complex materialized by workers of the National Petroleum Company (ENAP) under the cooperative model. The results show both the foundational contribution in building the urban space of "Manantiales street", as well as the way cooperativism materialized in the urban design and the architectural project of the CEREPEC complex. The company-worker-savings bank relationship stands out, where the worker assumes the leadership and the company supports its management, in a model that is very distant from industrial paternalism, and which logically builds different new sectors in the city. People with mobility impairment have the right to live in accessible housing that meets their needs. Although the Australian National Construction Code for residential housing will be amended to include minimum accessibility standards in September 2022, some states have chosen not to adopt these standards (New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia). The inclusion of people with lived experience in decisions surrounding accessible housing design is lacking. This study sought the perspective of people with mobility impairment on the most important modifications they would make to the design of their own homes, and the homes of their friends and family, to make them more accessible. An online survey was completed from February to March 2021 by 145 people living in Australia including 112 people with mobility impairment, and 33 family members. Results indicated that 71 per cent of the participants were living in housing that did not fully meet their accessibility needs. Descriptive qualitative analyses demonstrated that commonly reported modifications included a step‐free entrance, wider internal doors and corridors, and level access throughout the home. These modifications would promote social inclusion, functioning, independence and overall quality of life. This article explores the trajectories of two women architects, Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky and Juliette Tréant-Mathé, who, in contrast to most of their female counterparts in interwar Europe, devoted much of their architectural work to the design of social housing. It examines the nature of the shared social activism that informed their work, while considering the gendered dimension of their architectural designs in the 1920s and 1930s. It assesses how Schütte-Lihotzky, in particular, participated in the discussions about the relationship between Existenzminimum, or the minimum level of conditions needed for living, and the construction of housing for single professional women, and how the design of domestic architecture could respond to their needs. Finally, it examines their largely unexplored contributions as women architects to broader debates about "the new dwelling" and the role of architecture in modern life more generally. Using the spatial analogy of the migrant kitchen this article makes an argument for diversifying Australian feminist architectural practice and disciplinary inquiry to anticipate other culturally plural framings and experiences of the built environment. Its parallel focus on four ethnographic vignettes offers insights into the ways in which migrants mobilise familial culinary traditions for building ontological security in new environments, examining how constituent parts of kitchen spaces migrate and are adapted by Lankan-Australians in Melbourne and Canberra. It argues that the 'transmigration' of kitchens and their hybrid reincarnation uncovers nuanced, temporal, socio-political dimensions of migrant origin and experience indecipherable to host communities that frequently reduce them to ethno-cultural traits. We discuss the assimilatory practices that migrant women of colour daily navigate as revealing the unavoidable complexities within normative constructions of the Australian home. One of the last commissions of the brief American partnership between Bauhaus architects Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer, the Virgil Abele House (Framingham, Massachusetts, 1940–41), has remained in the scholarly shadows until now. This placement stemmed from its heavy borrowing of design elements from other Gropius and Breuer projects, which led previous commentators to discount or overlook it. Using the lenses of consumerism and connoisseurship to reconstruct the Abele House's design and stewardship repositions it as significant in understanding the Gropius-Breuer practice and important in illuminating the spread of modern architecture in the interwar period. In August of 1959, The First National Forum of Farmers Housing, held in Havana, exposed the laminar house project, made for the Cuban farmers by the Arch. Felix Candela. The objective of the present work is to study the solutions, which serves as support for the plans for buildings hygienic, safe and confortable houses in the most remote places of Cuban countryside, and at the same time, to analyze the experience of Candela in the construction of economic houses in Mexico, as the basement of his proposal of rural house in Cuba. The analytical-synthetic and historical-logical research methods allowed to process the information and formulate conclusions. The investigation revealed not only the repercussion and impact of Candela proposals in the Cuban architecture of the 60s and 70s, but also the appreciation and consideration of Felix Candela for the “rebels” cause. The unique Traditional Islamic architecture characterizes some cities in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The purpose of the study is to highlight the significance of the Traditional Islamic house design, architectural elements, and the use of low-technology in house construction concerning sustainable architecture, in Old Fatimid Cairo and Rosetta (Rashid) cities. The study's method includes a literature review; with an overview of the history, the urban form, and the Islamic house design and architectural elements influenced by the local Islamic context (natural and cultural environments). A field survey included: the selection of eleven examples, five from Old Fatimid Cairo city and six examples from Rosetta (Rashid) city representing the most famous houses including the different architectural elements, and analyzing its components, the house design, spatial organization, building materials, house elements, courtyard, Mashrabiyah, wind catchers, and the construction system. Moreover, a comparative study for the selected Islamic houses illustrates the contexts' impact on the house design. In conclusion, the study highlighted the significance of Islamic house design and low-technology in house design and construction, which could be considered sustainable architecture and developed in the form of advanced technology in the future. Housing built in Havana between 1950 and 1980 is transforming at an accelerated rate. The research aims to find out how the population values and modifies their own home in order to draw conclusions about the causes and consequences of these transformations. The ex post facto method is used to analyse and systematize information from announcements of purchase, sale and home exchanges in four municipalities of Havana in a period of three years, establishing cause-and-effect relationships between them. The value attributes assigned by the owners to their homes, and the main transformations carried out in them, are defined. It is concluded that the changes respond to the need to maintain the buildings, and also to spiritual motivations, inspired by new cultural symbols, which together with the lack of references and state control, has caused damage to the heritage of domestic architecture and the identity of the neighbourhoods.
