The article highlights the fact that older people from different minority ethnic communities have both different and evolving expectations about both service provision and the changing structures of family life, and that there are key factors in ensuring that all forms of living arrangements, including sheltered housing, appeal to minority ethnic and general communities. It also explores the paucity of research on older people from minority ethnic backgrounds and their mental health needs and abuse.
