In this work, a new compound [C15H16B3N3O5].[Pt(SCN)4].2(H2O] (1) has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The compound (1) crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c a=10.443 Å, b= 24.918 Å, c= 15.048 Å, α=90°, β=133.945°, γ=90°, V=2819.4 Å3, Z=4. The use of molecular tecton (building block) able to form thiocyano-based hydrogen-bonded synthons (OH···SCN) to synthesize a diverse range of crystal structures is described. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by intermolecular SCN···HN and BO···HN hydrogen bonds, forming a threedimensional network. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new copper complextrans-Dichlorobis[4-methoxypyridine]copper(II) (1) was synthesized and its crystal structure determined by X-ray diffraction. The close Cu···Cl contacts between the molecular units form bi-bridged dimers. The Copper(II) ion completes its 4 + 2 coordination via interaction with the Cu···Cl close contact. The complex has a polymeric structure of infinite one-dimensional (1D) bi-bridged chains, consisting of six-coordinate copper(II) units. C–H···C l intermolecular interaction connect the 1D-chains in the structure of1which form to 3D structure. Abstract: Chiral one-dimensional hydrogen bonded copper(II) complex [Cu(HL1)Cl]2·H2O (1) (HL1= N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-5-nitrosalicylaldimine) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, crystal structure analysis and magnetic susceptibility. X-ray diffraction studies show that 1 is a binuclear copper(II) complex with a pair of chlorine atoms bridging the copper atoms in a central Cu2Cl2 core. Each copper(II) atom is five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal environment. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements on the a binuclear complex 1 in the range 2–300K indicate a weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the binuclear copper(II) centers, with J =−0.274cm−1 and the magneto-structural correlations are discussed in detail. Abstract: A new hydrogen-bonded pseudo-dimer, [Mn(III)L1(CH3CH2OH)]2(ClO4) (1) (L1= N,N′-bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthalidenato)-1,2-diaminopropane) has been synthesized and characterized by UV–vis, IR, elemental analysis and crystal structure analysis. The single crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that the structure affords an elongated octahedral MnN2O4 coordination environment, geometry with the four donor atoms of the tetradentate Schiff base in the equatorial plane and with two ethanol molecule in axial positions with Mn–O=2.265(2) and 2.266(2)Å.
