Recently, many studies have been done on MXene (2D titanium carbide) for energy storage applications. It possesses outstanding features like hydrophobicity, conductivity, and particularly strong surface redox reactivity, which are essential for energy storage applications. Despite these exceptional properties, MXene's electrochemical performance is significantly impacted by certain deficiencies, such as the inability to assemble MXene sheets. To prevent MXene sheets from restacking, the spaces between them must be filled with an appropriate material. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for electrochemical applications have also been extensively studied. Due to their high crystallinity, porous structure, and substantial surface area, MOFs find diverse applications, but their efficacy as electrode materials is hindered by a lower specific capacity and charging/discharging rate. Addressing these limitations, combining MOFs with suitable materials is preferred for enhanced performance. This study suggests an innovative approach: a composite between Cu-BTC MOF and N-MXene. By shortening both the ion/electron diffusion pathways and improving the electroactive sites, the prevention of MXene sheet restacking was achieved, leading to exceptional specific and rate capacity in the composite with MOFs. The Cu-BTC/N-MXene-decorated electrode exhibited energy and power density reaching approximately 65.23 W h kg-1 and 923 W kg-1 in a two-electrode (real device) configuration. Cu-BTC/N-MXene//N-MXene retained 99% of its capacity and a coulombic efficiency of 92% after 8000 alternate GCD cycles. Extensive research is underway to process viable electrode materials for energy storage and hydrogen production. This study focuses on synthesizing Ag-MOF and V 2 CTx, followed by their combination in a 50/50 wt% ratio to produce Ag-MOF@V 2 CTx composite. Utilizing a three-electrode design, Ag-MOF@V 2 CT x exhibits specific capacitance 2180 Cg-1 at current density of 2.0 A/g. BET testing reveals a significant specific surface area of 147 m2/g, enhancing electrochemical performance. The supercapattery which is constructed with Ag-MOF@V 2 CT x and activated carbon, yields a charge specific capacity of 283 Cg-1. The Ag-MOF@V 2 CT x //AC configuration achieves a power density of 1230 Wkg-1 and energy density of 75.12 Whkg−1. Remarkably, behind 10,000 GCD cycles, Ag-MOF@V 2 CT x device retains 85 % of its capacity. Moreover, among all composites evaluated in (HER), Ag-MOF@V 2 CT x exhibits the lowest overpotential (119 mV). These findings underscore the significance of Ag-MOF@V 2 CTx as electrode materials for energy storage devices and various energy applications. • The Ag-MOF@V 2 CT x nanomaterial is synthesized by the hydrothermal method and used as a battery-grade electrode. • An outstanding specific capacity of 2180 C/g is obtained. • The remarkable high-energy density of 75.3 Wh/kg at a power density of 1230 W/kg is conceived. • Excellent cyclic stability of 85 % capacity retention is obtained after 10,000 consecutive charge-discharge cycles. This research work explores the potential of MXene, particularly two-dimensional vanadium carbide (V 2 CT x), for application in next-generation and existing energy storage systems. The material exhibits a convergence of functionalities: hydrophobicity, efficient charge transport, and exceptional surface redox activity. These combined advantages position MXene as a highly attractive material for energy storage purpose. Highlights the impressiveness of the characteristics, certain drawbacks have a significant impact on the electrochemical efficiency of MXene, such as the tendency of MXene sheets to reassemble. To prevent the reassembling of MXene layers, it is necessary to fill the gaps between them with an appropriate material. A comprehensive investigation has been carried out on the utilization of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in electrochemical applications. Due to its remarkable crystallinity, porosity, and large surface area, MOF-5 has been employed in several applications. While MOF-5 demonstrates potential as an electrode material, its limited specific capacity and rate capability necessitate the exploration of composite materials to optimize its performance. This study presents an innovative methodology to produce a composite material by combining MXene and MOF-5. Therefore, this can not only reduce the path of ion/electron transport channels, but also enhance the electroactive sites. Therefore, MXene prevented sheet restacking, although MOF-5 with MXene composite has outstanding specific and rate capacity. In three and two electrode configurations, the MOF-5/MXene the electrode possesses considerable specific capacities of 961 and 235 C/g, respectively. Prepared supercapattery device MOF-5/V 2 CT x //AC, determined an energy density of 48.75 Wh/Kg and can deliver a power density of 920 W/Kg.
