Thoracic CT showed lymph nodes in the normal range and pleural effusions were no longer detectable. Computed tomography (CT) confirmed these findings and detected prominent mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes (Figure 1B). Eosinophilic pneumonia is an acute respiratory illness of varying severity that is characterized by an increased infiltration of eosinophils in lung tissue or bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.
