A biography of Amish land owner Heinrich Stalter is presented. His family history is said to provide researchers an interesting study of Amish Mennonite genealogy. Heinrich Stalter II of Gern near Munich, Germany was married to Jakobine and had nine children. After his wife died, he emigrated to America in 1842. Many of his children migrated from Munich to Nebraska, and from New Orleans to central Illinois. Heinrich died between 1852 and 1860 in Tazewell County, central Illinois.
