Introduction. The active integration of digital technologies into the modern educational process is an urgent task for the global education ecosystem. In this paper, within the framework of the joint international educational project “Digital Toolbox for Innovation in Nursing Education (I-BOX)”, conducted under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, we present a new instructional design of the educational process using digital technologies on an electronic platform, based on the ASSURE model. The aim of the study is to design digital educational process using the ASSURE model with a view of its integration into electronic platforms. Materials and Methods. The development of the ASSURE model for instructional design was based on three stages. The first stage involved the analysis of available instructional models in order to determine the feasibility of application for the project. The second stage included the adaptation of the ASSURE model for instructional design as consistent with the project objectives. The third stage covered the definition and integration of modern digital technologies in the process of instructional design following the ASSURE model. Results. Based on the results of the study, the participants of the I-BOX Strategic Partnership Consortium developed an ASSURE model that can be applied for the instructional design in educational process when the use of digital technologies (video, audio, podcasts) and the placement of learning materials on an electronic platform are required. Project participants developed a guide “ASSURE MODEL: Conceptual Structure of the Project and Assessment” based on the results of the study with a step-by-step description of the ASSURE model for the e-learning process. The developed educational and audiovisual e-learning materials based on the ASSURE model will be available on the electronic platform. Discussion and Conclusion. The materials of the paper will be useful when designing the educational process on an electronic platform or in an online format. The presented ASSURE model will increase the possibilities and effectiveness of teaching students from different countries using digital technologies on electronic platforms.

El objetivo del presente trabajo es realizar un acercamiento al diseño instruccional como el trabajo transversal realizado por un profesional en ciencias de la educación, en el proceso de desarrollo de un material educativo, que permite la consolidación de experiencias de aprendizaje satisfactorias y significativas en los estudiantes y no un mero adecuador o curador de contenidos. Producto de este proceso, se evidenció el carácter cambiante del rol y la discordia existente entre académicos y educadores frente al término, fruto de su procedencia. Así mismo, se muestra la necesidad de un análisis crítico y una revisión de los modelos de diseño instruccional más utilizados, para establecer concordancias y discrepancias que permitan dar solidez y posicionamiento a la función y proporcionen mejoras sustanciales que se reflejen en los procesos de aprendizaje de las múltiples personas que acceden al sistema educativo en modalidad virtual. La intensión de este ensayo es mostrar al lector la importancia del diseño instruccional en la educación virtual, por su carácter integrador y su función de puente entre los diversos actores que intervienen en el proceso de construcción de un curso virtual y el estudiante como usuario final. The objective of the current essay is to make an approach to the instructional design as the transverse work made by a professional in education sciences, during the development process of an educational material, which allows to consolidate satisfactory and meaningful learning experiences for the students and not only a mere individual that adjusts or fixes the contents. As a result of this process, the changeable nature of the role and the existing discord between academics and educators regarding the term, because of its origin, were showed. In the same way, the necessity of a critic analysis and a revision to the most used instructional design models were showed to establish concordances and discrepancies that allow the role to be more solid and positioned and to provide essential improvements, which are reflected in the learning processes of those who enter into the educational system in a virtual method. The purpose of this essay is to show the reader the instructional design importance in the virtual education, because of its integrative nature and its role as a bridge between the different actors that take part of the process of making a virtual course and the student as a final user.

Karamete, Ayşen (Balikesir Author), This study examined the effects that computer-assisted instruction had on students' attitudes toward a mathematics lesson and toward learning mathematics with computer-assisted instruction. The computer software we used was based on the ASSURE Instructional Systems Design and the ARCS Model of Motivation, and the software was designed to teach fractions to fourth-grade students. The skill levels of these students were gauged before and after receiving the computer-assisted instruction. We structured our experimental design to use one group for both pre- and post-tests, which is considered to be one of the weak experimental designs. We conducted our research with 28 students studying in Balikesir, Turkey, for a period of six weeks, using the specifically developed teaching material. We gathered our research data by applying an attitude scale to our mathematics lesson and to computer-assisted instruction. We also applied the Academic Achievement Test for Fractions Unit in Mathematics, a test we developed for our research. We analyzed our gathered data with the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test (n0.05). Based on the research results, we believe that similar materials can also be used for instructing other topics of mathematics, and similar computer-assisted activities can be developed for other courses.
