Phenol and butanolone catalyzed by different SOH-functionalized ionic liquids (ILs) for synthesis of raspberry ketone (RK) had been investigated. The influences of different ionic liquids, reaction time, reaction temperature, reactant ratio, the amount of ionic liquid were investigated. The yield of raspberry ketone was 82.5% under the optimum reaction condition. In addition, the ILs (3-sulfo)propyltriamine bisulfate ([TEA-PS][HSO]) can be recycled up to five consecutive times without loss of activity. This method had the advantages of mild conditions, high product yield, easy to separate from the product, as well as environmentally friendly procedure. 2 H-Pyridazino[1,2- a]indazole-1,6,9(11 H)-triones were synthesized through one-pot, three-component condesation of aldehydes, maleic hydrazide, and dimedone using a green and inexpensive Brönsted acidic ionic liquid 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone hydrosulfate ([Hnmp]HSO4) as catalyst under solvent-free conditions. A basic ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium hydroxide ([bmim]OH), efficiently promotes a one-pot, three-component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate, and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone to produce 4-aryl-5,10-dihydro-4 H-benzo[ g]chromene-5,10-dione derivatives in high yields at room temperature. This reaction does not involve any hazardous organic solvent and toxic catalyst. The ionic liquid is recovered and recycled for subsequent reactions. An efficient preparation of novel 2-amino-3-phenylsulfonyl-4H-pyrans derivatives is reported by the condensation of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone and phenylsulfonylacetonitrile in the presence of 2-hydroxyethyl ammonium acetate [H3N+CH2CH2OH] [CH3COO-] (HEAA) as suitable and efficient catalyst.
