Giriş: Bu çalışmanın amacı geriatrik bireylerde kinezyofobi ile denge, düşme korkusu ve mobilite arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Gereç-Yöntem: Çalışmaya 65-88 yaş arası 41 geriatrik birey dahil edildi. Bireylerin sosyo-demografik bilgileri ve mini mental test skorları kaydedildikten sonra kinezyofobi, denge, düşme korkusu ve mobilite düzeyleri anketler ile değerlendirildi. Kinezyofobi, Tampa Kinezyofobi Ölçeği (TKÖ); denge, Berg Denge Ölçeği (BDÖ); düşme korkusu, Tinetti Düşme Etkinlik Ölçeği (TDEÖ) ve mobilite düzeyleri Zamanlı Kalk Yürü Testi (ZKYT) ile belirlendi. Bulgular: Katılımcıların 33’ünde (%70.5) kinezyofobi varlığı tespit edildi. Değerlendirme sonucunda kinezyofobi ile düşme korkusu (p=0.001, r=0.514) ve mobilite (p=0.002, r=0.468) arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı, pozitif yönlü orta şiddette; kinezyofobi ile denge arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı, negatif yönlü yüksek şiddette ilişki saptanmıştır (p

Giriş: Bu çalışmanın amacı yoga yapan ve yapmayan genç bireylerde yorgunluk, kas iskelet sistemi sağlık durumu ve yaşam kalitesini incelemektir. Gereç-Yöntem: Çalışmaya 18-25 yaş aralığında 48 gönüllü katıldı. Değerlendirmede yorgunluk parametresi için Checklist Individual Strength (CIS) Yorgunluk Ölçeği Türkçe versiyonu, kas-iskelet sistemi sağlık durumu parametresi için Kas-İskelet Sistemi Sağlık Sorgulaması (KİS-SS) ve yaşam kalitesi parametresi için Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Kısa Formu (DSÖYKÖ-KF) anketleri kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamında dahil edilme kriterlerine uygun 40 gönüllü (yoga yapan/yoga yapmayan: 20/20) değerlendirildi. İstatistiksel analiz sonrasında yalnızca DSÖYKÖ-KF’nin genel sağlık durumu alt parametresinde fark olduğu gözlendi (p=0.047). Diğer parametrelerde ise gruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamadı (p>0.05). Sonuç: Yoga uygulayan bireylerin genel sağlık durumlarına ilişkin algısında düzelmeler gözlense de bu durumun yaşam kalitesinin diğer alt parametreleri, yorgunluk ve kas iskelet sağlığında belirgin bir fark oluşturmadığı belirlenmiştir Introduction: The aim of this study is to investigation of fatigue, musculoskeletal health status and quality of life in young individuals who do and do not practice yoga. Material-Method: Fourty eight volunteers between the ages of 18-25 participated in the study. Evaluations were made with 3 questionnaires. The Turkish version of the Checklist Individual Strength (CIS) Fatigue Scale for the fatigue parameter in the evaluation, the Musculoskeletal Health Questionnaire (CIS-SS) for the musculoskeletal health status parameter, and the World Health Organization Short Form of the Quality of Life Scale for the quality of life parameter (WHOQOL-Bref) questionnaires were used. Results: Within the scope of the study, 40 volunteers (yoga/non-yoga: 20/20) who met the inclusion criteria were evaluated. After statistical analysis, it was observed that there was only a difference in the general health status subparameter of WHOQOL-Bref (p=0.047). No significant difference was found between the groups in other parameters (p>0.05). Conclusion: Although improvements were observed in the perception of general health status of individuals who practice yoga, it was determined that this situation did not make a significant difference in other subparameters of quality of life, fatigue and musculoskeletal health

Serebral Palsi’li (SP) çocuklarda görsel bellek ve görsel algıdaki bozuklukların seviyesi beyindeki fonksiyonel bozuklukların seviyesine bağlıdır. Bu çocuklarda herhangi bir görme bozukluğu olsun ya da olmasın beyindeki fonksiyon bozuklukları görsel algılamada da bozulmaya neden olmaktadır. Çalışmamızın amacı, SP’li çocuklarda görsel-motor algı etkilenimini Bender Gestalt Görsel Motor Algılama Testi (BGGMAT) ile değerlendirmekti. Çalışmaya 5-11 yaş arası 30 sağlıklı, 30 SP’li çocuk dahil edildi. Değerlendirme BGGMAT ile yapıldı. İstatiksel analiz için IBM SPSS programı kullanıldı. Tanımlayıcı analizler nominal değişkenler için frekans tabloları; normal dağılmayan ve ordinal değişkenler için ortanca ve minimum- maksimum değerler kullanılarak verildi. Gruplar arası farklılığın belirlenmesinde nominal değişkenler için Ki-kare Testi, normal dağılmayan değişkenlerde MannWhitney U testi, grup içi değişkenler arası farklılığın belirlenmesinde ise Wilcoxon Testi kullanıldı. Yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda iki grup arasında persantil oranları bakımından anlamlı ölçüde fark saptanırken (p0,05). SP’li bireylerde BGGMAT hata puanları, persantil oranları ve zekâ yaşları yaşa, cinsiyete ve alınan fizyoterapi süresine göre incelendiğinde, yaşa ve fizyoterapi süresine göre anlamlı fark olduğu gözlemlenirken (p0,05). BGGMAT’e göre SP’li çocuklarda görsel-motor algının etkilendiği saptandı. Bu problemin rehabilitasyon sürecine olumsuz etkileri olabileceğinden SP’li çocuklarda rutin uygulamalara görselmotor algı değerlendirmesinin de eklenmesi gerektiğini düşünmekteyiz. The level of visual memory and visual perception disorders in children with cerebral palsy (CP) depends on the level of functional disorders in the brain. In these children, whether or not they have any visual impairment, dysfunctions in the brain cause deterioration in visual perception. The aim of our study was to evaluate the visualmotor perception influence in children with CP using the Bender Gestalt Visual Motor Perception Test (BGGMAT). 30 healthy children aged 5-11 years and 30 children with CP were included in the study. BGGMAT was used for evaluation. IBM SPSS program was used for statistical analysis. Descriptive analyzes frequency tables for nominal variables; median and minimum-maximum values for non-normally distributed and ordinal variables. The chi-square test was used to determine the difference between groups, the Mann-Whitney U test was used for non-normally distributed variables, and the Wilcoxon Test was used to determine the difference between within-group variables. As a result of the evaluation, a significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of percentile ratios (p0.05). When the BGGMAT error scores, percentiles and intelligence ages of individuals with CP were analyzed according to age, gender and physiotherapy duration, it was observed that there was a significant difference according to age and physiotherapy duration (p0.05). It was determined that visual-motor perception was affected in children with CP according to BGGMAT. Since this problem may have negative effects on the rehabilitation process, we think that visual-motor perception assessment should be added to routine practices in children with CP.

However, the evaluation of refractive error such as myopia has always been neglected in balance studies. This paper aimed to examine the differences in balance and proprioception measurements between individuals with myopia and their healthy peers. Materials and Methods: Fifteen subjects with myopic eye defects and 15 healthy peers were included in the study. Balance evaluations consisted of the tandem walk test (TWT), the limits of stability test (LOS), and the modified clinical test of sensory interaction and balance (mCTSIB). These evaluations were performed with a computer-aided NeuroCom Balance Master device. Additionally, proprioception was measured with the Biodex System 3 isokinetic dynamometer. Results: Individuals with myopic defects had higher step widths (P= .001), and end-sway (P = .007) than their healthy peers. The reaction time, maximum excursion, and directional control values of the myopia group were lower than those of the healthy peer group, but there was no difference between the results of the LOS and the m-CTSIB tests (P > .05 for all parameters). Moreover, the 60° proprioception evaluation deviation was higher in the myopia group for both dominant and non-dominant extremities. However, this deviation was not statistically significant (P > .05). Conclusion: This study showed some differences in the measured values for balance in myopic individuals compared to healthy peers. We think that the evaluation of the participants with the orthoses they use will provide more accurate results from the measurements in future studies evaluating balance and proprioception.

Purpose: It is known that early retirement has been increasing for patients with Parkinson\"s disease. The data on the factors that cause early retirement in this patient population is limited. The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of Parkinson\"s disease that cause early retirement.
