Graphic facilitation is a growing international practice and is often used to describe what professionals do when visually facilitating group processes. Although the professional arena has grown, there is a lack of empirical research in the field, especially regarding long-term perspectives on applying the practice in organisations. This paper aims at investigating employees' experiences and competence development over time within graphic facilitation. The study followed three employees, first in a 2-day basic graphic facilitation course, then in follow-up interviews, eight months, and two years after completing the course. The empirical data were analysed based on a literature review conducted on long-term perspectives, focusing on three themes: 1. The graphic facilitation practice at individual, group, and organisational level; 2. Contextual knowledge and knowing about the participants; 3. Relation between objects, processes and competencies needed. The findings show that all three employees from different organisations continued to use graphic facilitation and found it valuable for giving new insights and overviews of processes and tasks. The methods aided in creating common ground and goals. The employees activated their contextual organisational knowledge to aid the process and found that being sensitive to various groups' needs and personal preferences were effective when applying the methods. Research in the knowledge management field has been a point of attraction for innovation and sustainability. The need for research and the effort by the researchers are important to be analysed to know the overall status of contributions and contributors. The purpose of this paper is to identify trends in knowledge management research and forecast future trends through bibliometric analysis. The study also aims to identify the highest contribution of articles by the authors, the institutions, the journals, and the countries. Microsoft Excel and VOSViewer software were used for the analysis of the data extracted from the scopus database for the period 2003-2022. It found Bontis. N. of Canada stood out as the highest contributing author in knowledge management research; the Hong Kong Polytechnic University of China proved to be the top contributing institution in the field; the Journal of knowledge management ranks first amongst the most contributing journals in the field; and the United States was the highest contributing country. Furthermore, the study found four clusters based on the co-occurrence of keywords. "Artificial Intelligence," "Big Data," and "Knowledge Hiding" are the budding areas in the field. Digital prototyping was extensively employed in the clothing industry during the Covid-19 pandemic. Digital Prototyping can optimise the level of accuracy, where the engineered fit will be close to the accurate fit. However, digital prototyping will not succeed without applications of the underlying theories of manual pattern development. This paper aims to critically review the traditional pattern drafting techniques, including ease allowances, and transfer that tacit knowledge to 2D CAD pattern developments. Five established pattern drafting methods for women's upper torso garments were selected and examined to check the reliability of body–to–pattern relationship. However, none of the techniques has accurate clothing fit, which implies that the current pattern drafting techniques do not explicitly consider the body-to-pattern relationship. Further, it was determined that traditional pattern drafting techniques could not directly translate to automated digital drafting. The existing literature presents limited evidence of research on knowledge management in organizations within the organizations that are part of the social and solidarity economy. Thus, this study aims to examine the impact of knowledge transfer on absorptive capacity and organizational learning and, consequently, on the social performance of organizations within the social and solidarity economy of Colombia. This study utilizes structural equation modeling to analyze the hypothesized relationships, employing a custom survey of managers and associates based on a literature review conducted among 347 members. The findings indicate that the influence of knowledge transfer on organizational performance in the social sphere is insignificant. This result underscores the need for organizations to develop absorption capacities and adequate organizational learning strategies, which are crucial for survival and integral growth, thus strengthening the doctrine that nourishes this type of companies. This paper contributes to theory and practice in social and solidarity economy organizations by expanding current knowledge on social performance, focusing on knowledge transfer, absorptive capacity and organizational learning. Furthermore, it adds to the body of knowledge by highlighting regional specificities that could hinder the competitiveness of companies and by presenting a quantitative methodology little used for these topics, which allows inferences about the cluster of companies in a country. This paper aims to address the limitations in existing research on the evolution of knowledge flow networks by proposing a meso-level institutional field knowledge flow network evolution model (IKM). The purpose is to simulate the construction process of a knowledge flow network using knowledge organizations as units and to investigate its effectiveness in replicating institutional field knowledge flow networks. The IKM model enhances the preferential attachment and growth observed in scale-free BA networks, while incorporating three adjustment parameters to simulate the selection of connection targets and the types of nodes involved in the network evolution process Using the PageRank algorithm to calculate the significance of nodes within the knowledge flow network. To compare its performance, the BA and DMS models are also employed for simulating the network. Pearson coefficient analysis is conducted on the simulated networks generated by the IKM, BA and DMS models, as well as on the actual network. The research findings demonstrate that the IKM model outperforms the BA and DMS models in replicating the institutional field knowledge flow network. It provides comprehensive insights into the evolution mechanism of knowledge flow networks in the scientific research realm. The model also exhibits potential applicability to other knowledge networks that involve knowledge organizations as node units. This study has some limitations. Firstly, it primarily focuses on the evolution of knowledge flow networks within the field of physics, neglecting other fields. Additionally, the analysis is based on a specific set of data, which may limit the generalizability of the findings. Future research could address these limitations by exploring knowledge flow networks in diverse fields and utilizing broader datasets. The proposed IKM model offers practical implications for the construction and analysis of knowledge flow networks within institutions. It provides a valuable tool for understanding and managing knowledge exchange between knowledge organizations. The model can aid in optimizing knowledge flow and enhancing collaboration within organizations. This research highlights the significance of meso-level studies in understanding knowledge organization and its impact on knowledge flow networks. Case knowledge matching can effectively alleviate the knowledge overload problem and ensure the level of knowledge application. Aiming at the redundancy problem of self-learning case knowledge matching in knowledge management systems, this paper proposed a bidirectional compression method based on IG-NRS and ICK. The method firstly designed an improved model of NRS, called IG-NRS. Accordingly, it approximated the set of case knowledge attributes to achieve the vertical compression of the neighborhood decision system. On this basis, it realized horizontal compression by introducing spectral clustering discrimination and eliminating the inconsistent case knowledge. And then it determined the knowledge matching results by locking the target case knowledge clusters and the most similar case knowledge through the similarity of knowledge views. Experimental results on several UCI datasets show that this method can effectively reduce the redundancy of self-learning case knowledge in knowledge management systems and achieve higher knowledge matching efficiency and effectiveness. In order to promote the innovative development of mobile fitness APP, based on value cocreation theory of customer-dominant logic, this paper discusses how the customer knowledge management, flow experience and customer involvement affect customer value cocreation in mobile fitness APPs. This study used convenience sampling and structural equation modeling to test the relationship between variables from questionnaire. Results revealed that customer knowledge management significantly and positively affected customer flow experience and customer flow experience significantly and positively affected customer value cocreation. Customer flow experience played a partial mediating role in the relationship through which customer knowledge management affected customer value cocreation, and customer involvement played a moderating role in the relationship through which customer flow experience affected customer value cocreation. Moreover, the results indicated that customer involvement significantly and positively regulated the effect of customer flow experience attention focus on customer value cocreation. Customer involvement not moderates the effect of perceived enjoyment in customer flow experience on customer value cocreation. Therefore, mobile fitness app enterprises or service organizations must strengthen knowledge management in industrial chain innovation development for strengthening the relationship with customers. Moreover, they should ensure flow experience to strengthen the psychological connection with customers and promote value cocreation to strengthen the behavioral connection with customers. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology and the exponential growth in the number of images, image detection and recognition technology is becoming more widely used. Image knowledge management is extremely urgent. The data source of a knowledge graph is not only the text and structured data but also the visual or auditory data such as images, video, and audio. How to use multimodal information to build an information management platform is a difficult problem. In this paper, a method is proposed to construct the result of image recognition as a knowledge graph. First of all, based on the improvement in the BlendMASK algorithm, the hollow convolution kernel is added. Secondly, the effect of image recognition and the relationships between all kinds of information are analyzed. Finally, the image knowledge graph is constructed by using the relationship between the image entities. The contributions of this paper are as follows. (1) The hollow convolution kernel is added to reduce the loss from extracting feature information from high-level feature images. (2) In this paper, a method is proposed to determine the relationship between entities by dividing the recognition results of entities in an image with a threshold, which makes it possible for the relationships between images to be interconnected. The experimental results show that this method improves the accuracy and F1 value of the image recognition algorithm. This paper examines the complex, multilateral and polycentric governance of the climate agenda, as well as the knowledge management architecture around the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Noting the difficulty involved in this governance, the paper shows how it has been capable of making progress in combating the climate crisis. Climate action governance resembles a network of networks, a dense web of public, private, social, technological, knowledgebased and intersectoral initiatives. Ensuring compliance with agreements is, without question, complex in many respects, but to date it has proven to be the only viable path. Highly dependent on the global context, the green transition is an opportunity to make a qualitive leap forward, against the backdrop of an energy crisis triggered by the invasion of Ukraine. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine the design of choreographies or learning environments which the students participating in Ocean i3 pass through during their participation in the project, which requires constant review and interpretation, in times of COVID-19. To this end, it is proposed to: define the institutional teaching choreographies to create authentic and meaningful environments for the active learning of university students; interpret the transversal competences for the sustainability developed in Ocean i3 within the framework of institutional teaching choreographies; and value the strengths and weaknesses of the teaching choreographies implemented for the development of transversal competences for sustainability in a situation of health-care crisis. Design/methodology/approach: An exploratory method with an interpretative approach has been selected that enables us to address living and evolving scenarios, didactic choreographies and the development of competences for sustainability. Findings: The perception of students and teachers reveals that it is the use of a multilingual linguistic repertoire (multilingualism) that is most enhanced in Ocean i3, although the global and integrative vision of problems and the integration and management of knowledge through contributions from different disciplines and the social context (transdisciplinarity) are also highlighted. Originality/value: This paper describes how face-to-face institutional teaching choreographies for an innovation project have been transformed into synchronous online choreographies encouraging the development of competences for sustainability. Due to the progress of Internet technology and the increase of distributed information on networks, the present approach to knowledge management has been based more and more on the performance of various experienced users. In addition to the increase in electronic documents, the use of paper documents has not been reduced due to their convenience. This paper describes a method of tracking paper document locations and contents using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. This research also focuses on the expression of a task process and the seamless structuring of related electronic and paper documents as a result of task knowledge formalization using information organizing. A system is proposed here that implements information organization for both Web documents and paper documents using the task model description and RFID technology. Since the introduction of geographic information systems (GIS) to natural resource management in the 1970s, there has been a logical increase in the use of GIS by natural resource management organizations. This article assesses the literature in applied North American forestry journals, which are read mainly by forest practitioners, and illustrates the trends of technological adoption by natural resource management organizations. We conclude that the diversity of GIS technology use in forestry is increasing and evolving to a high and complex level. While small-scale (local) and site-specific natural resource applications predominate the use of GIS in this literature, landscape applications have gained more attention and importance in recent years, mainly in the western and north-central United States. Although several of the journals we reviewed emphasize the practical nature and value of information, few papers were located that illustrate GIS implementation in natural resource organizations or advances in GIS technology. The professions associated with natural resource management have traditionally been adopters of technology (rather than developers), but, since GIS is so closely tied to the management and assessment of landscapes, it is possible that the issues that arise in natural resource management have had a significant impact on the development of GIS analytical techniques. We suggest that surveys be performed frequently (every five years) so that the natural resource management field can stay current with changes in technology and in employer expectations. This assessment has pointed out the trends and gaps in the forestry-related literature and suggests opportunities for future dissemination of information. Research papers lead the widespread adoption of technology by a decade or more; thus, through this work, one can envision what might become commonplace a decade from now. Those unaware of the relatively short history of the technology and how it has evolved may gain some understanding from this brief history of the use of GIS in natural resource management. The study of interorganizational relationships in amateur sport has developed significantly over the past 30 years alongside rising expectations for multisector integration between sport organizations and other partners. This stems from sport organizations seeking innovative ways to achieve their mission and neoliberal government policies adding institutional pressure for interorganizational cooperation. This review paper discusses the wider cultural and political forces that shape the drive for legitimacy through partnerships across sector boundaries and outlines the theoretical influences on interorganizational relationship research in amateur sport between economic and behavioral paradigms. In addition to considering how prevailing frameworks and findings inform the current body of knowledge in sport management, we critically reflect on implicit assumptions underpinning this work given that partnerships now saturate the discourse of sport management policy and practice. Our review questions whether reality lines up with our "great expectations," and explores what limitations and opportunities remain for future interorganizational relationships research in amateur sport. The current paper focuses on a framework for structuring large document stores with the help of intelligent metadata. The described landscape includes a proprietary knowledge graph which ingests millions of concepts from external, third-party data providers and accommodates internal class taxonomies; an NLP service for automated annotation of textual data; an annotations quality control mechanism; tools for knowledge graph ontology and concept management; and an extensive API layer. The proposed solutions enable content analytics in their proper context and allow explicit and implicit connections between the content and other company data – i.e., user (media content consumer) data. Starting from the traditional public administration dichotomy 'power versus knowledge', concerned with the cleavage between politicians and bureaucrats, this paper's main purpose is to reframe a classic theoretical model, by placing the spotlight on a new, under-conceptualized public sector actor: the technocrat. Second, the paper performs empirical research starting from an own-build comprehensive database that includes all the ministers appointed in the Romanian Government during a 30-year timeframe (October 1991-November 2021). In spite of being a rather young democracy with a communist public sector legacy, research findings indicate that in Romania we can clearly identify patterns similar to other European countries (primarily Italy), consisting of appointing technocrats to the cabinet. Such nominations are discussed in correlation with the advancements of new theories of democracy and public administration, imprinted with Neoliberalism, New Public Management, and Good Governance paradigms. This paper examines global trends and visualization in Knowledge Organization research, concentrating in particular on the literature that has appeared in journal articles, editorial materials, conference proceeding, during 2001 to 2020. Data for this study was assembled from Web of Science (WoS) web database, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E). The query of searching were "Knowledge Organization" OR "Organization of Knowledge" OR "Organization of Information" OR" Information Organization." In total, 3909 documents were retrieved and analyzed by various bibliometric metrices, and appropriate data presentation tools were planned by using Biblioshiny, HistCite, Citespace and VOSviewer software. Taken as a whole, the preliminary results that the content of Knowledge Organization literature has shifted since the advent web based environment. To provide deeper picture of the KO publishing and citation trends different bibliometric parameter were used to explore the leading countries, authorship, organizations, topics, and collaborations. Results found that the countries with relatively higher impact journals were USA followed by England and Canada. Among organizations, National University Singapore (Singapore) was found leading impact indices. Hjorland B. was found as most productive author. Among journals, "The Journal of Knowledge Management" contributed the most publications. 'Knowledge Management' was the most frequently and representative authors keyword, Three-Factor Analysis (Country, Keyword and Organization) showed top three keywords ('Knowledge Management', 'Knowledge' and 'Knowledge Sharing') had strong relation with top 10 countries and Organizations. Country collaboration showed a major collaboration between the fringes of USA and emerged as leading collaborator with China. Cybernetics covers many traditional disciplines, including technology, philosophy, biology, mathematics, and social sciences. So, studying and understanding cybernetics systems and their management are essential concepts in all aspects of life. But, as far as we know, a perfect and profound discussion about the topic of cybernetic systems is rare. In order to address the emerging challenges of the information society, this paper will cover recent developments in the development of cybernetic systems with particular reference to management applications. Selected articles were analyzed in 7 main groups: historical evolution of cybernetics systems, system dynamics, dialogic design science, complexity theory, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, and management optimization). In order to advance research and development, the study showed the multi- and trans-disciplinary nature of cybernetics, systems, and the management sciences. According to the findings of our analysis, most papers were released in 2007. We also found that the IEEE Journals had the largest number of published articles. It suggests that the researchers' attention to research in this field has diminished over time. In the higher education institutions, they recognize the value of knowledge management (KM) in enhancing organizational performance and productivity. However, the current KM system faces challenges in adapting to modern issues and suffers from inefficient utilization. This paper aims to address these shortcomings by identifying the maturity level of KM using a digital capability maturity model (DCMM). To achieve this objective, data were collected through interviews, questionnaire surveys, and observations, and a descriptive data analysis method was employed. The study utilized the model's eight Business Transformation Management (BTM) disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding and holistic analysis of digital transformation. The research findings revealed a defined maturity level (Level 3) of Effective Knowledge Worker Digital Capability. This suggests the need for strategic improvements to propel the institution towards a higher level of digital readiness. To elevate the KM maturity level, the paper recommends the development of a web-based Knowledge Management System (KMS) as a pilot project within the IT Operational department, before its potential company-wide implementation. The proposed KMS includes eight essential features, including document management, lessons learned, project management, announcements, schedules, FAQ page, and forum. This web based KMS promises to enhance knowledge sharing, collaboration, and accessibility. Beyond the specific institution studied, the research offers valuable insights for other organizations seeking to evaluate and improve their KM performance. By adopting the digital capability maturity model and considering the suggested features in the KMS, institutions can drive innovation and better adapt to the evolving landscape of knowledge management. In view of the decisive role played by knowledge ontologies and their linked data in knowledge organization, an effective initiative involving both is necessary for research on stele inscriptions. The absence of this will not only hinder the acquisition of stele inscription knowledge but also affect the further exploration of its value. In response to the research demand of scholars in the field of stele inscriptions, a knowledge organization initiative designed for the digital resources of ancient Chinese stele inscriptions is developed in this paper. The adoption of a bottom-up method makes it possible to abstract the knowledge ontology model from the existing mature metadata of stele inscriptions, improving the quality of the ontology itself as well as guaranteeing its compatibility with the existing digital resources of stele inscriptions. On this basis, this paper deals with the process and key steps involved in the knowledge organization of stele inscriptions and the construction of linked data. The review deals with two provocative articles (by Tom Wilson and F. J. Miller respectively) about the challenges of knowledge management. Knowledge management can be regarded on the one hand as a mania or a fashion, a notion that many people mix up and use synonymously with information management; on the other hand, it gives the impression that information processes can be managed effectively. The world of work has changed dramatically in the past 20 years, and this has important implications for a variety of individual, group, and organizational phenomena. Two areas that may be particularly impacted by such changes are generations at work and intergenerational knowledge sharing. Unfortunately, conceptual approaches have not kept up with these changes in work and organizations. With the support of advanced information and communication technologies and open innovative design platforms, the emerging and blooming paradigm of mass personalization drives the process of engineering design to include knowledge with higher heterogeneity and more complex modalities. To this end, Multi-Modal Knowledge Graphs (MMKG), evolved from semantic networks and knowledge graphs, provide a powerful technology system for more effectively organizing and utilizing this knowledge. To understand the state-of-the-art of key aspects that enables MMKG, and recognize the potential challenges for forefront applications in engineering design, a literature review of MMKG-related publications is conducted. With selected 131 representative papers together with other 32 supplementary studies (up to 11/11/2023), this article summarizes the technical and practical efforts of multi-modal knowledge extraction, fusion technology, and specific applications in the engineering design process. Meantime, the challenges that MMKG faces and its foreseeable development potentials are discussed, which is hoped to provide a basis for the futuristic explorations and implementations of MMKG-enhanced availability and productivity in engineering design. In today’s context, information and knowledge have emerged as key factors in various production processes and have become a newly discovered asset. One of these production processes is the coffee harvest. This paper presents the results of the first phase of research on the implementation of a technological knowledge management system in the coffee sector. During this initial phase, data was collected through a survey of coffee growers in the Cirigrande district, a member of CUENCAFE Acacpa, located in the province of Panamá Oeste, Panama. Several findings emerged from this survey: 84% of coffee growers are between the ages of 22 and 42, they have the ability to use digital tools, and 100% are willing to share their knowledge. In addition, to determine the internal consistency of the survey used, the Cronbach’s coefficient 𝛼 was calculated, which yielded a favorable value of 0.85. In addition, Pearson’s correlation coefficient r was calculated to validate the relationship between the questionnaires. In summary, the 16-cell matrix analysis concluded that although coffee growers lack the technological means to manage knowledge, they do have rudimentary governance processes and they consider the presence of a knowledge management system to be potentially beneficial and a competitive advantage in strengthening the production of Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora). The question of the theory-practice relationship is one of the core questions of philosophy and the social sciences. How should the proportions between theory and practice best be determined? Social work joins this discourse from a logic of applied sciences. It can develop an appropriate answer that can be generalized if it first participates on that discourse. For that, the theory-practice relationship is first distinguished from the theory-practice proportion. Because while a proportionality points to communication, which could be determined vertically in one way, in the case of the relationship is horizontality at the centre of the debate, which refers to the consent of the other actor. Therefore, the following paper will first distinguish the philosophical question of how the relationship between knowledge and action should be determined from the sociological question of how the proportion between knowledge and action is in a given profession. After an introduction, the genesis of the theorypractice communication the question is put what can be deduced from this distinction for social work. Depending on the viewpoint, the relationship can either be transformed into communication through mediation between theory and practice, or theory can be separated, decoupled from practice. Open innovation is a concept of collaboration of ideas, knowledge, and resources that originates from within the organization and involves external organizations. University-industry collaboration is a factor driving innovation and competitiveness. Most research on interactions between universities and industry concentrated on the industrial side meanwhile, universities, as knowledge producers, play a vital role in creating an open innovation ecosystem that encourages realizing innovations that benefit society. Therefore, the problem raised in this research is how university collaboration can support open innovation. This research aims to identify research trends, the latest technologies, and inter-university collaboration frameworks that can support open innovation. The methodology used is Kitchenham's Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric. SLR consists of Identification Study, Selection Studies, Quality Assessment, Data Extraction and Study Synthesis. From the SLR stages, 21 papers published between 2019 and 2023 were obtained. Synthesis and additional literature review were carried out to identify trends, technologies, and frameworks related to the topic comprehensively. In terms of trend, based on the application bibliometric, it was found that there was an increase in the number of publications and the top list of open innovation journals. University collaboration in open innovation more frequently takes place in the UK, and the industries mostly involved are small-medium enterprises. Quantitative research methodology and data analyses, comprising of hypothesis test, regression test, and descriptive statistics, are mostly preferred. Meanwhile, descriptive data analysis is the most common means of qualitative data analysis. Numerous suggestions on topics for future research were also identified. In addition, data analysis using machine learning survival data is identified as a novelty among data analysis methods. Technology transfer and the use of digital platforms may support open innovation processes, and the use of blockchain technology may promote digital platforms development. Seven domains form the framework for university collaboration in open innovation, namely Social Behavior, People, Process, Organization, Environment, Technology, and Performance. The findings of trends, technologies, and frameworks in this research may serve as a foundation for research on similar topics, and the identified framework domains could serve as framework components that might be used by universities to collaborate with partners in implementing open innovation processes. The research have contributes to knowledge management theoretically and practically. Theoretically, open innovation can expand the knowledge base by supporting the concept that knowledge and expertise can be found outside organizational boundaries. Practically, it can enrich knowledge management practices by emphasizing the importance of utilizing digital platform technology in supporting knowledge management sourced from external knowledge and collaboration services in the open innovation process. In this paper we show that his argumentation is misguided. Plausible heuristics offer a compelling and nuanced explanation of the relevant infelicity data. The management and exploitation of knowledge can contribute to the competitive advantage of an organisation and hence can be a driver of its value. This paper examines knowledge management practices within two engineering organisations with an emphasis on barriers to its effectiveness and the influence of current and anticipated deployment of digital technologies. Two methods were used to gather research data across both organisations by combining a series of semi-structured interviews with a quantitative social network analysis. Examination of the acquired data provided insights into the relationship between the knowledge management culture in both organisations and their adoption of digital tools. Hudson's evolutionary model of safety culture has been modified to describe the culture of knowledge management in an organisation and the acquired data used to locate the two organisations on their knowledge management journey. It is proposed that social networks could be used as an indicator of the stage of evolution of knowledge management in engineering organisations more generally with low network densities and dispersed networks representing higher stages of evolution. Despite increasing scholarly focus on inter-city policy mobilities there has been insufficient emphasis on understanding the role of municipal institutional factors in enabling global policy translation. This paper argues that the value of knowledge management vehicles in city-to-city learning and 'knowledge-sharing enablers' deserves prominence. The author employs autoethnography as a method of qualitative inquiry, chronicling Durban's Municipal Institute of Learning's establishment, successes and challenges through changing institutional landscapes. On the island of Réunion, a French overseas department located in the western Indian Ocean, a prefectorial decree taken by the authorities on July 26, 2013 has been reconducted for the past 10 years to forbid swimming and water-based activities, apart from the conditions set out in the injunction. This decision was the outcome of increased shark sightings and incidents causing, in particular, the deaths of 5 ocean users between 2011 and 2013. As a preliminary attempt to address the lack of empirical research on ocean users' social representations and their relationship to non-humans, this paper aims to primarily analyze thoroughly the issues of the acceptance of shark risk mitigation options. Data were gathered through a qualitative study that mobilized several ethnographic tools such as face-to-face semi-structured interviews, participant and non-participant observation as well as social media data survey. Results indicate that the many tensions generated by shark-human interactions (SHIs) on the island of Réunion are related to a lack of public consultation, thus calling the acceptance of the shark management strategy and the scientific recommendations into question. The findings may improve shark-human interactions management as we consider the management of risk as a process to develop a well-balanced way of living with the sharks where residual risk remains. This study contributes to the advancement of knowledge on the management of human-wildlife conflicts (HWCs) while the results tend to confirm the findings of many other studies showing that they are often rooted in human-human conflicts.
