Thoughtfully designing user experiences (UXs) and user interfaces (UIs) is an important factor in achieving better health outcomes for people with diabetes and enabling health professionals, innovators, and companies to create solutions that support people effectively. Five principles to employ in the design of UXs and UIs to improve the lives of patients and help them benefit from the digital experiences provided in the context of their care are included in this chapter. These principles immediately apply to the current context and also point toward questions facing the health-care industry in the future.
