The article offers information on the history of the foundation of Disneyland's Main Street in the U.S. Accordingly, the creation of the Main Street has been regarded as an American symbol in literature, theater, and film since before the creation of Disneyland. It has been described that the typical Hollywood back lot of the theme park reveals various visual tricks which was borrowed by the designers of Main Street from the repertoire of set-design techniques. Information about the history and the influence of the theme park in the national identity of the country is discussed.
