The article offers information related to the consequences of population ageing is the increasing demand for surgical treatments in older people. Topics include to improve quality of life and health outcomes in surgical older patients, has proposed to extend the use of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) in surgical health care settings; and the aim of review has to assess the effectiveness of a CGA intervention compared to standard care on the postoperative outcomes in older people.
