This text was written to disseminate a proposal of the Study Group on Calculus in Secondary and Higher Education, headed by researchers Dr. Pierre Job (ICHEBrussels Management School-Belgium) and Dr. Luiz Márcio Santos Farias (UFBA-Brazil), whose objective is to create a joint work Brazil-Belgium in search of a reference epistemological model for calculus and analysis teaching. In 2023, at the Integrated Studies Seminar-Calculus in Secondary and Higher Education at PUC/SP, Professor Job presented aspects of the research carried out in Belgium based on a reference epistemological model, the theory of didactical situations and the anthropological theory of the didactic regarding the limit concept. To motivate calculus teachers to engage in this research, it summarizes the events of two of the three-day seminars. The first part reports the questions proposed on the first day, followed by a reflection on some. Those questions served as a model for the initial survey of difficulties that could provide answers to three open questions: Are the premises used in Belgium valid in the Brazilian context? Is it possible to build a shared theoretical framework that allows us to question the status of epistemological obstacles and the main difficulty encountered in teaching the concepts of limits, derivatives, and integrals? We of the modern world tell stories about being modern, becoming modern. We ask where modernity is going. Two metaphorical complexes dominate these stories: We favour metaphors of life and growth; modernity has a life of its own. Or we prefer metaphors of motion and direction; modernity is a journey that takes many paths. The two complexes coexist uneasily even as they feed on each other; together they mark the modern conceit that modernity has left tradition behind. Those whom modern society has victimized, uprooted or abandoned may resist both complexes, often seeking to retrieve the metaphors of a lost, broken, misremembered or invented past. Most beneficiaries of modernity favour the metaphorical complex of life and growth--or merely take it for granted. Scholars with a critical attitude toward modernity often favour many paths and thus the metaphorical complex of motion and direction--without realizing it. Seven metaphors reveal these tendencies: boundary, break, juncture, limit, rupture, stage, transition. They also hint at a third, distinctively modern metaphorical complex. In our stories about modernity, we deploy plural versions of spatial metaphors sequenced in time: frames, boxes, compartments, or containers, and mark the sequence with metaphorical signposts: age, stage, wave, or period. There is a place of suspension and pause; a place of detachment and double existence between the hic et nunc and somewhere else, indefinite in time and space; a place where meanings can be overturned, rearranged, renewed; a place where it is possible to retitle both events and experiences, which may need to be reordered, renamed and resewed, if ripped or frayed. According to the main thesis of this article, in order to articulate the scope and interest of Wittgenstein's family resemblances topic, we should see into it not an answer to the question what concepts in general are, but a methodological proposal. Two questions guide the central part of the text: (1) What does "family-resemblances concepts" mean? (2) What concepts fall within the corresponding class? Regarding (1) I try to show that "family-resemblances concepts" is not an unequivocal term: a first sense has to do with the dictum of "similarities overlapping and criss-crossing" (IF 67) and is to be distinguished from a second sense associated with the topic of "blurred edges" (IF 71). This distinction lies behind the answer I offer to (2): in the first sense of the term, there is no family concept at all, while according to the second sense all concepts are of this kind. In the final part I propose a reinterpretation of the issue from a methodological perspective. To say that concepts like language, understanding, thinking, etc. are family concepts means that the philosophical reflection on them should not centre on the praxis of looking for definitions. This article analyzes the poem "Exilios", by Ida Vitale, as an aesthetic expression of the notion of fictional non-place, which is proposed here as an alternative to Marc Augé's anthropological and non-places notions. Exploring the poem's images, this article dialogues with William T. J. Mitchell's notion of image, and talks with other theorists, such as Antonio Candido, Heidegger, Luiz Costa-Lima, James Hilman, and with specialized studies on the author, such as those by Pablo Rocca, Bruña Bragado, Eduardo Milan, among others. In this work, I propose the hypothesis that the beyond is not a place beyond a limit of time and space, but rather a dimension, an intuition, an experience that transpires in everyday life and that we see when we live with passion. This experience is supported by a creative nostalgia, which is based on the dimension of total belonging experienced in the womb and which drives us to actively seek and find it in life and in everyday life. Even in the infinity towards which we aim this experience is already present. It is what has not yet been completed and to which, even without knowing it, we can make our creative contribution, as happens in the prenatal period, when container and content mutually modify each other according to development and life. This condition is also found in the external, complex, and globalized world, to whose development we can actively and responsibly contribute through living together, living our history, immersed in an invisible whole. This can only happen through the acceptance of the limit of one's finitude and the elaboration of mourning for one's own death, which prevents us from projecting it to the outside, allowing us to contribute with creativity and responsibility to move forward and beyond the lives of all. Sensible objects and the human beings, that make up the changing world, have a structure, an order and a dynamic of their own, by which the presence of causes or generating principles that endow them with such attributes is perceived. Hence, limit and measure represent conditions of an order that is established in the ideal world, an order that acts as a cause of the harmony and proportion that shape the visible world. Anthropic activities have progressively left their mark in the environment where man benefits from the ecosystem goods and services, which has transcended socio-environmental conflicts throughout history. Proof of this is the drastic changes suffered by the Bogotá River due to the uncontrolled discharges from the continuous growth of populations and activities surrounding the body of water. In the present study, the variability of the environmental parameters in the upper basin of the Bogotá River between the years 2007 to 2019 is exposed after the issuance of the Agreement 43 of 2006 of the CAR, for which a multi-temporal analysis was carried out and statistical data. The results show that throughout the twelve (12) years of monitoring there is no contamination due to nitrates, nitrites, or sulfates in the upper basin of the Bogotá River, similarly, the monitored pH remained within the objectives of quality except for 3 years in which the maximum value allowed in the upper part of the basin was exceeded. However, the increasing deterioration of the water quality in the Bogotá River is mainly attributed to the total suspended solids that shows a permanent non-compliance in the upper and lower upper basin, added to the non-compliance in the lower upper basin according to the quality objectives for the dissolved oxygen, BOD and COD parameters. Consequently, the results show the scarce impact derived from the actions developed by the local and environmental authorities to ensure the quality objectives in the upper basin of the Bogotá River, and the effect of weak water governance in the basin. In the encyclical Fratres omnes, the theme of brotherhood is developed by Pope Francis, referring to philosophical theses: some of these are explicit, others remain more hidden. The most important is that of the relationship, understood as a cure and as a limit: every human being develops his own identity by living in relationship with others. Only by accepting one’s limit, the conditions are created for the recognition of the other man and for the construction of a society based on the feeling of brotherhood. The article highlights some critical issues in the encyclical regarding the concept of «dream» and that of «contract» and identifies in Fratres omnes the seed of a poetics of brotherhood. The ideas of limit and musicality constitute axial concepts in José Ángel Valente's poetry. In this paper we propose to link Valente's poetics with Spectral Music. We will review the foundations of José Ángel Valente's maturity poetry with the purpose of comparing them with the theoretical approaches of Spectral Music. The fluctuating and permeable nature of the limit determines the foundations of Spectral Music as well as Valente's poetics. We can establish that the notion of 'reverberance' constitutes the epistemological basis-even ontological-of those styles. In the psychoanalytic literature and in current usage, the concept of the Superego has obtained a much wider theoretical and clinical space than that reserved for the concept of the Ego Ideal. As is well known, these are instances that are configured in the framework of the Freudian elaboration of the second topic of the psychic apparatus, which outlines the organization and consolidation of the structure. However, this paper does not delve into metapsychological disquisitions, to which many great masters have already given their important contribution. Instead, it focuses on clinical reflections on patients, although very different from each other on the psychopathological level, who undergo intense suffering due to a cumbersome and unrealistic Ego Ideal to which they feel unable to adhere. A conflict, very difficult to handle in the transferencecountertransference relationship, in which the Ego is both the victim and the agent at the same time. Sometimes, the treatment process trips up over these apparently marginal aspects of the Ego Ideal, which are configured as one of the most tenacious resistances to the psychoanalytic process. It will analyze the phenomenon of illegal immigration as an irrational fact. Despite the calls and the dangers facing this phenomenon, it seems to settle down in duration and in contempt even of human life. The Mediterranean becomes a necropolis. Faced with the insensitivity of European policies, the migratory surge in its enthusiasm and intangible will raises the question of mental stability. It does not take much to turn humans into beasts.Maybe just take the bread off. From the analysis of the transgression of the taboo of the sacredness of life, we will show the unfulfilled of the suicidal migrant. We will demonstrate how the crisis of the dialectic "the human, the bread and the beast" which opens wide, crosses the limit and manifests madness. Il s’agira d’analyser le phénomène de l’immigration clandestine dans l’irrationnel de sa persistance. Malgré les appels et les dangers fa e à ce phénomène, il semble s’installer dans la durée et au mépris même de la vie humaine. La Méditerranée en devient une nécropole. Devant l’insensibilité des politiques européennes, la déferlante migratoire dans sa fougue et volonté intangible pose la question de la stabilité mentale. Il n’en faut pas beaucoup pour transformer l’humain en bête. Peut-être juste lui ôter le pain. A partir de l’analyse de la transgression du tabou de la sacralité de la vie, nous montrerons l’inassouvi et l’inaccompli du migrant suicidaire. The factors influencing the future of the aggressive impulse lie both at the level of the child itself and at the level of the socio-family and society. The difficult behaviour of the child at the latent age questions many parameters both in terms of the psychic functioning of the individual concerned and at the relational level. Moreover, this symptomatological procession comes to question societal values, including, among others, the notion of authority. Thus, these usually tenacious difficulties require adequate support and the broadest possible reflection on relations within families and in our society in general. The evaluative approach consists in understanding the function of the symptoms, the suffering of the child in his neuro-psycho-developmental trajectory in order to engage an accompaniment of help and adapted care. Behind the term "difficult" child, is usually discovered a great psychological suffering more or less recognized. The assessment focuses on the child in question in terms of cognitive, emotional and relational dimensions, as well as on the socio-family environment. It is essential to understand the attitudes of the socio-family members with regard to the difficult behaviour of the child by specifying that this is once again a circular phenomenon. Michel Foucault's work is marked by a continual displacement. In particular between two axes: power-knowledge on one side, subjectivation on the other. Foucault introduces a new line of thought in his philosophy, in which the subject takes up an active role in his own constitution as such. The concept of transgression, taken from Georges Bataille, is key to understanding this third Foucault and allows for a better understanding and shaping of what may be called, following Immanuel Kant, a modern attitude.
