This work reports the result of finite‐time reliable dissipative control for switched neutral‐type based neural networks subject to input nonlinearities, time‐delay and randomly occurring perturbations. In particular, a novel control model consist of both linear and non‐linear fault inputs is designed for reliable control. In addition, randomly occurring uncertainty caused by stochastic variables satisfying the Bernoulli distribution is considered. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, Jensen's integral inequality technique and average dwell time method, sufficient criteria for finite‐time boundedness of resulting neural networks are obtained. Furthermore, the obtained boundedness theory are enhanced to solve the finite‐time dissipative problem of the considered systems through reliable control against mixed actuator failures. The obtained sufficient conditions are constructed in the form of linear matrix inequalities, which can be facilitated by using some standard numerical Matlab packages. This brief is concerned with passivity-based integral sliding-mode control of uncertain singularly perturbed systems. First, a proper integral sliding surface is constructed. Then, a sufficient condition in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) is derived under which the resulting closed-loop system is passive and asymptotically stable in the specified switching surface. The gain matrix of the sliding mode is achieved by means of the previous LMI. In addition, a sliding-mode controller is synthesized to guarantee the reachability of the specified sliding surface. Abstract: This paper addresses the modified function projective lag synchronization (MFPLS) for a class of chaotic systems with unknown external disturbances. The disturbances are supposed to be generated by the exogenous systems. By using the disturbance-observer-based control and the linear matrix inequality approach, the disturbance observers are developed to ensure the boundedness of the disturbance error dynamics. Then by employing the sliding mode control (SMC) technique, an active SMC law is established to guarantee the disturbance rejection and realize MFPLS between the master and slave systems. And the corresponding numerical simulation is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

This paper investigates the leader-following bipartite consensus problem for second-order multi-agent systems with nonlinear dynamics, node-delay and signed digraph topology. By using pinning control strategies, an event-triggered controller is designed to achieve bipartite consensus in multi-agent systems, where a novel event-triggered function is proposed. Two cases are discussed in this paper according to whether the node-delay is differentiable or not. When the node-delay is differentiable, an LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) condition is derived for reaching bipartite consensus in multi-agent systems by using M -matrix theory. When the node-delay is non-differentiable, some bipartite consensus conditions are developed based on Jensen inequality and the reciprocally convex approach. Moreover, it is shown that Zeno-behavior can be avoided for the designed event-triggered controller. Finally, some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness and correctness of the theoretical analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
