No. of bitstreams: 1 Rodrigo Cardozo de Jesus.pdf: 15238624 bytes, checksum: 2db116d33f4373261372fc883494941c (MD5) Previous issue date: 2019-01-31 Detection of failures in three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors has shown increasing interest in recent years, especially in the study and implementation of new diagnostic techniques, given their use in the industrial segment worldwide. Among the existing faults, stands out the rupture of one or more bars that are part of the machine's rotor cage. One of the most studied techniques in the literature, and still used today for the detection of broken rotor bars, is the electric current signature analysis of one of the motor phases, in order to nd certain harmonics that indicate the presence of the defect. This technique uses the Fast Fourier Transform for the analysis of harmonic components, and other more recent studies have employed, for example, the Hilbert Transform, in order to improve the frequency signal resolution, as well as the use of statistical measures to nd some parameters of the motor current signal, in the condition of a defective rotor. In addition, other researches have investigated the use of machine learning techniques to aid in the evaluation of machine conditions, based on the characteristics extracted in the time and frequency domains. Thus, the present work developed a comparative study between some signal processing techniques, used in the diagnosis of broken rotor bars, and the machine learning algorithms most used in the monitoring and diagnosis of failures in induction motors. These algorithms were parameterized in several conditions and it was possible to compare not only the accuracy of each model, but also the false positive and false negative rates in each case. The results showed that the use of the statistical characteristics with those extracted in frequency domains presented the best performance. Experiments with a 7:5 kW motor, for several load conditions, and especially at low load, would allow to evaluate the best combination of the aforementioned techniques for the detection and classi cation of the defect in the rotor cage . A detecção de falhas em motores de indução trifásico do tipo gaiola de esquilo revelou um interesse crescente nos últimos anos, especialmente pelo estudo e a implementação de novas técnicas de diagnóstico, dada a sua utilização no segmento industrial em todo o mundo. Dentre as falhas existentes, destaca-se o rompimento de uma ou mais barras que fazem parte da gaiola rotórica da máquina. Uma das técnicas mais estudadas na literatura, e empregadas ainda hoje, para a detecção de barras quebradas, é a análise da assinatura da corrente elétrica de uma das fases do motor, a m de encontrar determinadas harmônicas que indicam a presença do defeito. Esta técnica utiliza a Transformada Rápida de Fourier para a análise das componentes harmônicas, e outros estudos mais recentes empregaram, por exemplo, a Transformada de Hilbert, de modo a melhorar a resolução em frequência do sinal, bem como o uso de medidas estatísticas para encontrar alguns parâmetros do sinal de corrente do motor, na condição de rotor defeituoso. Adicionalmente, outras pesquisas têm investigado o uso das técnicas de aprendizagem de máquina para auxiliar na avaliação das condições do motor, a partir das características extraídas nos domínios do tempo e da frequência. Deste modo, o presente trabalho desenvolveu um estudo comparativo entre algumas técnicas de processamento de sinais, usadas no diagnóstico de barras rotóricas quebradas, e os algoritmos de aprendizagem de má- quina mais empregados no monitoramento e diagnóstico de falhas em máquinas elétricas. Tais algoritmos foram parametrizados em diversas condições sendo possível comparar não apenas a acurácia de cada modelo, mas também as taxas de falso positivo e falso negativo em cada caso. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o uso das características estatísticas em conjunto com aquelas extraídas em frequência apresentou a melhor performance. Os experimentos realizados com um motor de 7:5 kW, para diversas condições de carga do motor, e especialmente em baixa carga, permitiriam avaliar assim a melhor combinação das aludidas técnicas para a detecção e a classi cação do defeito na gaiola rotórica.
