Transparent wood (TW) combining unique anisotropic structure has broad application prospects in the field of advanced building furniture materials. Many efforts have been made to add quantum dots or nanoparticles to TW to endow it with additional functionality, such as luminescent, electrochromic, and thermochromic TW. However, luminous TW with shape‐editable functionality and its new applications have yet to be explored. Benefiting from the excellent luminescence performance in a diluted solution state, BODIPY (4,4‐difluoro‐4‐bora‐3a,4a‐diazas‐indacene) dyes have been widely used for bio‐sensing and bioimaging. In addition, vitrimers exhibit excellent stimuli‐responsive, shape‐memory, and reprocessing properties thanks to exchangeable dynamic covalent crosslinking networks, which are suitable for fabricating smart TW. Herein, combing these advantages, a dual‐functional transparent wood composite (P‐SEFTW) with photoluminescent and shape editable function was developed by introducing BODIPY dyes and vitrimers into the delignified wood (DW) templates. P‐SEFTW displays good UV luminescence, unique light guiding and directional scattering effects. Meanwhile, it shows excellent shape‐recovery, shape‐programming, shape‐erasing, and re‐programming capability under thermal‐stimulus. Materials exhibiting multi-stimuli responsive luminescence are useful for applications in information encryption, fluorescence sensors, and optoelectronic devices. Herein, we report the development of fluorenyl-difluoroboron- β -diketonates that provide multi-stimuli responsive fluorescence. These complexes exhibit weak fluorescence in a diluted solution and aggregation-induced emission in the solid state. The solid-state emission color of these complexes can be tuned by grinding-fuming and grinding-heating cycles. Our experimental data reveal that propeller-shaped donor-acceptor structure and loose molecular packing structure induced by long alkyl chains are the key factors related to the stimuli response sensitivity. Furthermore, we demonstrate the information-process applications of these materials for use in a thermochromic logic gate device. Luminescent coordination polymers can be potential chemosensors and extensive efforts are being devoted to improve their selectivity and sensitivity. In this work, we report a new kind of fluorene‐based Tb‐CP, Tb4L6·7DMF·5H2O (Tb4L6, H2L = 4,4′‐(9,9‐dimethyl‐9H‐fluorene‐2,7‐diyl)dibenzoic acid), showing 2D network and strong blue emission. Meanwhile, Tb4L6 exhibits excellent selectivity and sensitivity for picric acid (PA). The quenching constant (Ksv) of Tb4L6 is equal to 4.5 × 104 L/mol during the concentration range of 0–30 μmol/L, which approaches the best reported CPs‐based on PA sensor up to now. As an important biomarker, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) is one of the most commonly assayed enzymes in clinical practice. Here a novel turn-on fluorescent nanoswitch for ALP assay was suggested. The nanoswitch was easily constructed via two high-affinity ligands between GSH and Al3+ and PPi and Al3+ based on the difference in the affinity. The primary fluorescence of as-prepared GSH capped Cu nanoclusters (NCs) turned on first upon the Al3+ addition due to the Al3+ induced aggregation induced emission (AIE) enhancement based on the high affinity of GSH and Al3+. The presence of PPi then made Al3+ desorb from the surface of GSH capped Cu NCs due to the higher affinity of PPi and Al3+. As a result, the fluorescence of the Cu NCs was quenched. ALP could hydrolyze PPi into phosphate, destroying the PPi-Al3+ complex and releasing Al3+. Thus, the Al3+ binds to GSH again and the fluorescence was restored. The nanoswitch was demonstrated to be sensitive and selective for ALP assay and was successfully used for the ALP assay in the human serum. A new family of pyrimidine-based BF2 complexes (PB-1–4) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and mechanochromic luminescence properties were developed. These compounds exhibit intense fluorescence in their aggregation/solid-state resulting from their large Stokes shift and AIE. X-ray crystallographic analysis shows that the weak intermolecular interactions by fixing the molecular conformations of PB-1–4 are responsible for the intense fluorescence in solid-state. In addition to their pronounced AIE behaviour, PB-4 also exhibits a reversible chromic response to grinding, and a distinct red-shift of emission is observed. Complexation of a boron atom with two of benzothiazole–enolate-based bidentate ligands successfully gave rise to the corresponding BF2-/BPh2-chelated complexes (3–6), which could be considered as novel AIE-active organoboron luminophores. These new luminophores exhibited aggregation-induced emission, and a large Stokes shift in solution. In the solid-state, compounds 3–6 exhibited intense emission with high quantum yields of 0.14–0.43. The photophysical properties and AIE characteristics of these compounds were rationalized through X-ray crystal analysis and theoretical calculations. In addition, compounds 4 and 6 were capable of sensing acidic gas by reversible changes of emission, which may potentially serve as solid-state luminescent sensors for acidic vapors. Two new propeller-shaped benzothiazole–enamide boron difluoride complexes exhibiting piezochromic luminescence upon mechanical grinding or hydrostatic compression were prepared. The two analogues displayed the red shift in luminescence under high pressure, while compound 2 with ICT effects showed a more sensitive piezochromic response at low pressure (＜1.5 GPa). The development of small organic CPL-active molecules with large luminescent dissymmetry factors and high quantum yields is highly demanded due to their promising applications in chiroptical devices and sensors. In this paper, we report the synthesis and the chiral optical properties of a series of axial chiral triarylborane dyes. These dyes were facile synthesized by direct borylation of commercially available enantiopure binaphthalenes, and display intense CPL with moderate luminescent dissymmetry factors and high quantum yields in both solution and solid-state, which enable them as efficient CPL emitters. Moreover, fluoride-controlled fluorescence and CPL signals of these dyes were realized, demonstrating their potential application as CPL sensors. • CPL-active triarylborane dyes (BM1-2) were facile synthesized. • BM1-2 show intense CPL both in solution and in solid-state. • Fluoride-controlled fluorescence and CPL signals of BM1-2 were achieved.
