One of the key applications of Learning Analytics is offering an opportunity to the institutions to track the students' academic activities and provide them with real-time adaptive consultations regarding the students' academic progression. However, numerous barriers exist while developing and implementing such kind of learning analytics applications. Machine learning algorithms emerge as useful tools to endorse learning analytics by building models capable of forecasting the final outcome of students based on their available attributes. Machine learning algorithm's performance demotes with using the entire attributes and thus a vigilant selection of predicting attributes boosts the performance of the produced model. Though, several constructive techniques facilitate to identify the subset of significant attributes, however, the challenging task is to evaluate if the prediction attributes are meaningful, explicit, and controllable by the students. This paper reviews the existing literature to come up with an exhausting list of attributes used in developing student performance prediction models. We propose a conceptual framework which identifies the nature of attributes and classify them as either latent or dynamic. The latent attributes may appear significant, but the student is not able to control these attributes, on the other hand, the student has command to restrain the dynamic attributes. The framework presents an opportunity to the researchers to pick constructive attributes for model development. We apply artificial neural network, a supervised learner, over a dataset to compare the performance of prediction models with distinct classes of attributes. The new students struggle to understand the introductory programming courses, due to its intricate nature, which results in higher dropout and increased failure rates. Despite implementing productive methodologies, the instructor struggles to identify the students with distinctive levels of skills. The modern institutes are looking for technology-equipped practices to classify the students and prepare personalized consultation procedures for each class. This paper applies decision tree-based machine learning classifiers to develop a prediction model competent to forecast the outcome of the introductory programming students at an early stage of the semester. The model is then transformed into an adaptive consultation framework which generates three types of colored signals; red, yellow, and green which illustrates whether the student is performing low, average, or high respectively. This provides an opportunity for the instructor to set precautionary measures for low performing students and set complicated tasks that help the highly skilled students to improve their skills further. The experiments compare a set of decision tree-based classifiers and conclude J48 as an efficient model in classifying students in all classes with high accuracy, sensitivity, and F-measure. Due to the rapid development of the fifth-generation (5G) applications, and increased demand for even faster communication networks, we expected to witness the birth of a new 6G technology within the next ten years. Many references suggested that the 6G wireless network standard may arrive around 2030. Therefore, this paper presents a critical analysis of 5G wireless networks', significant technological limitations and reviews the anticipated challenges of the 6G communication networks. In this work, we have considered the applications of three of the highly demanding domains, namely: energy, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and machine learning. To this end, we present our vision on how the 6G communication networks should look like to support the applications of these domains. This work presents a thorough review of 370 papers on the application of energy, IoT and machine learning in 5G and 6G from three major libraries: Web of Science, ACM Digital Library, and IEEE Explore. Project management planning and assessment are of great significance in project performance activities. Without a realistic and logical plan, it isn't easy to handle project management efficiently. This paper presents a wide-ranging comprehensive review of papers on the application of Machine Learning in software project management. Besides, this paper presents an extensive literature analysis of (1) machine learning, (2) software project management, and (3) techniques from three main libraries, Web Science, Science Directs, and IEEE Explore. One-hundred and eleven papers are divided into four categories in these three repositories. The first category contains research and survey papers on software project management. The second category includes papers that are based on machine-learning methods and strategies utilized on projects; the third category encompasses studies on the phases and tests that are the parameters used in machine-learning management and the final classes of the results from the study, contribution of studies in the production, and the promotion of machine-learning project prediction. Our contribution also offers a more comprehensive perspective and a context that would be important for potential work in project risk management. In conclusion, we have shown that project risk assessment by machine learning is more successful in minimizing the loss of the project, thereby increasing the likelihood of the project success, providing an alternative way to efficiently reduce the project failure probabilities, and increasing the output ratio for growth, and it also facilitates analysis on software fault prediction based on accuracy.
