In this paper, a multilayer absorbing material with a -8dB reflectivity bandwidth of 2Ghz, an absorption peak of less than -10dB, and a total thickness of the material below 2mm is realized by genetic algorithm optimization in the low frequency range of S and C bands. Compared with homogeneous single-layer absorbing materials of the same thickness, the low-frequency absorption bandwidth of the multilayer absorbing materials has been significantly improved. Based on the optimized design results, the combination rules of different materials when designing multi-layer absorbing materials at low frequency are analyzed. Then the influence of electromagnetic waves on the absorbing properties of multilayer absorbing materials and its causes are studied based on the optimization results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
