Abstract

The technical path combining pulse forming with inductive adding is one of the important candidates to realize pulsed power miniaturization. In this paper, the cell structure of the linear transformer driver(LTD), which is based on pulse forming network(PFN), with impedance 2.5 and pulse width 200ns is introduced. The outputs of two such LTDs are inductively added to a load through the cathode pole, which forms a double-cell module based on the LTDS. The experiment results show that the high-voltage pulse waveform from the double-cell module at charging voltage of 40 kV and repetition frequency of 20 Hz/40 Hz accords with that from PFN discharged directly, and its jitter is about 2 ns. The coherence of the output pulse waveforms is quite good at repetition mode.

Abstract

A L-band, 1+1/2 cell microwave gun (i.e.RF gun) with a LaB 6 thermionic cathode is being developed in CAEP. The RF gun had been first tested and produced electron beam in May. 1995. These results are very satisfactory. When input microwave power into the RF gun is about 2.4MW, the parameters of the RF gun are following: electron energy is approximately 1.8 MeV. macropulse current is 1A, maximum macropulse current is 1.7A, macropulse-width is 7μ5, RF frequency is 1.3GHz, repetition rate is 1∼50 Hz, An estimate of electron beam normalized emittance is 20πmm.mrad.

Abstract

Silk assembly can be controlled by manipulating substrate chemistry and factors relevant to layer‐by‐layer assembly, as described by V. V. Tsukruk and co‐workers on page 6380. Silk assembles into individual fibrils when sheared on hydrophilic graphene oxide while maintaining its globular solution state morphology on hydrophobic reduced graphene oxide as shown on this cover.
