Abstract

The article discusses the connections among local versions of collection, pigeonhole schemas and parameter free induction (PFI). It states that in defining the local versions of PFI, a finite set of axioms is added to the usual language of arithmetic. It notes that the base theory of PFI is that the finite set of axioms is added by the induction of schema.
