INTRODUCTION: ADJUVANT TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH ENDOMETRIAL CANCER IS TAILORED TO CLINICALPATHOLOGICAL PROGNOSTIC FACTORS. PELVIC RADIATION THERAPY FOR STAGE I ENDOMETRIAL CANCER (EC) PROVIDES A HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT OF LOCAL CONTROL, BUT WITHOUT SURVIVAL ADVANTAGE. LOW-RISK EC PATIENTS HAVE A VERY FAVORABLE PROGNOSIS, AND SHOULD BE OBSERVED AFTER SURGERY. USE OF ADJUVANT RADIOTHERAPY (RT) IS LIMITED TO PATIENTS WITH HIGH-INTERMEDIATE OR HIGHRISK FACTORS. FOR THOSE WITH HIGH-INTERMEDIATE RISK FEATURES, VAGINAL BRACHYTHERAPY ALONE PROVIDES EXCELLENT VAGINAL CONTROL WITH LESS MORBIDITY AND BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE THAN PELVIC EXTERNAL BEAM RT (EBRT). FOR PATIENTS WITH STAGE I-III EC WITH HIGH-RISK FEATURES, THE USE OF ADJUVANT CHEMOTHERAPY ALONE HAS NOT SHOWN SURVIVAL BENEFIT AS COMPARED TO PELVIC EBRT. OBJECTIVE: TO REVIEW EVIDENCE RELATING USE OF ADJUVANT RADIATION THERAPY FOR ENDOMETRIAL CANCER. METHODS AND MATERIALS: RETROSPECTIVE STUDY ON 21 PATIENT OF ENDOMETRIAL CARCINOMA AFTER SURGERY RECEIVING ADJUVANT RADIATION .ALL THE PATIENTS RECEIVED EBRT TO THE PELVIS TO THE DOSE OF 50Gy IN 25 FRACTIONS FOLLOWED BY VAGINAL BRACHYTHEAPY OF 6Gy x 2 FRACTIONS FROM 2011-2016 . EXCEPT ONE, ALL OHER PATIENTS RECEIVED 3DCRT. CHEMOTHERAPY WAS GIVEN TO STAGE III PATIENTS.THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED IN VYDEHI INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE AND RESEARCH CENTER IN DEPARTMENT OF RADIOTHERAPY. RESULTS: A TOTAL OF 21 PATIENTS FROM YEAR 2011-16(5 YEARS) WITH MEDIAN AGE OF 45 YEARS WERE ANALYSED RETROSPECTIVELY.OUT OF THE 21 PATIENTS FIVE WERE FIGO STAGE I, 11 WERE FIGO STAGE II AND 5 WERE FIGO STAGE III. FOUR PATIENTS HAD POSITIVE PELVIC NODES AND 3 PATIENTS HAD POSITIVE PARA AORTIC NODES. TWO PATIENTS HAD HIGH RISK HISTOLOGIES. 18 PATIENTS UNDERWENT TAH + BILATERAL BSO, 2 PATIENTS UNDERWENT RADICAL HYSTERECTOMY AND 1 PATIENT UNDERWENT TRACHELECTOMY. THE STUDY EVALUATED OVERALL SURVIVAL AND DISEASE FREE SURVIVAL AND CORELATED WITH VARIOUS PROGNOSTIC FACTORS INCLUDING AGE, TYPE AND GRADE OF HISTLOGY AND STAGE. SIXTEEN PATIENTS ARE ALIVE WITHOUT DEASESE AT THE TIME OF ANALYSIS THE COMPLETE RESULTS WILL BE UPDATED IN THE PRESENTATION. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
