The South Carolina School Behavioral Health Academy (SBHA) has developed an online learning management system (LMS) to address the increasing behavioral health needs of school-age children. The SBHA aims to strengthen knowledge, create connections, and celebrate successes in implementing interventions for students' mental health. The LMS provides training modules on effective multitiered systems of support (MTSS) and school behavioral health, with content curated by national experts and designed to be accessible and engaging. Since its launch, the SBHA LMS has enrolled around 1,000 participants from diverse educational backgrounds, and district and school leaders play a crucial role in promoting enrollment and completion of courses. The SBHA hopes that their innovative approach will inspire similar efforts in other states to improve school behavioral health programming and support for students. [Extracted from the article]
